Abstract

This research aims to examine the improvement of early childhood literacy skills by using exploratory strategies in early childhood at PAUD Ar-rahman Benteng, Sungai Batang District, Indragiri Ilir Regency, Jambi Province. Increasing early literacy skills referred to in this research is to explain children's abilities in using letters or reading and writing which are mastered before children learn how to read and write. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research because data regarding teacher strategies in introducing early childhood literacy requires a lot of qualitative data. Where the teacher is the implementer of learning while the researcher is the observer. This research is in the odd semester 2023/2024, namely in February. The subjects of this research were Ar-Rahman Benteng PAUD students, consisting of 23 students. The object of research is students' initial literacy abilities. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The data was analyzed using the mile and Huberman data analysis model, namely running or flowing (Flow model analysis). The analysis consisted of data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification/drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the increase in early childhood literacy at Ar Rahman Benteng Preschool is quite good, it can be seen that when in literacy learning activities with movement and songs, children are able to read and write letter symbols that match the songs, children are able to imitate writing letters modeled by the teacher and enthusiastic about literacy activities.

Abstract

The study aims to understand the implementation of the Qiroati method in Quranic reading education for Volume IV at Raudhotut Taqwa Quranic Education Garden in Pasar Singkut Village, Sarolangun Regency. This qualitative research employs a descriptive analysis approach and was conducted at Raudhotut Taqwa Quranic Education Garden in Pasar Singkut Village, Sarolangun Regency. Data sources include primary data from caregivers, Ustadzah (female Islamic teacher) of Volume IV, and students of Volume IV at Raudhotut Taqwa Quranic Education Garden, and secondary data regarding the conditions of Raudhotut Taqwa Quranic Education Garden in Pasar Singkut Village, Sarolangun Regency. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and verification of conclusions drawn. The research found that the implementation of the Qiroati method in Quranic reading education at Raudhotut Taqwa Quranic Education Garden in Pasar Singkut Village, Sarolangun Regency, adheres well to the specified Qiroati method. The Quranic education process for Volume IV students at Raudhotut Taqwa Quranic Education Garden aligns with the guidance of the Qiroati method, with the materials learned corresponding to the directions provided on each page of the Volume IV book.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity among them is implementing service to the community in the form of providing free mathematics study guidance for students of class VI of Nurul Khoir Private Elementary School, knowing the impact of service as well as knowing the barriers as well as knowing the influence of reciprocal relationship between the college and the community, the school. This dedication to the community consists of a team of lecturers and students of Mathematics Tadris Faculty of Education and Teachers of UIN Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. This devotion was implemented at SDN 133/IX Hill Baling. Dedication is done by providing free mathematics study guidance to the students of class VI for the preparation of facing the National Examination. This free study guidance was implemented over 12 meetings by conducting a pre-test at the first meeting and a post-test at the last meeting. These community service activities provide a virtuous reciprocal relationship between the college, school and community. Schools and communities get the knowledge and experience to prepare well for UN mathematics as well as colleges get appropriate curriculum related evaluation and adaptation in order to improve the students’ ability to face UN mathematics.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out by the Islamic Religious Education Study Program team of UIN Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi at IAI Al-Mujaddid Sabak, Jambi City with the aim of introducing and training the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the learning process. This training was attended by 20 students and 15 lecturers from various educational backgrounds. In this activity, participants were given a basic understanding of the concept and benefits of AI, as well as its application in education, especially in the context of Islamic Religious Education. Although some participants were already familiar with AI technology, they were still not used to using it practically in learning. Therefore, this training aims to increase participants' awareness, knowledge, and skills in utilizing AI as a tool to optimize the learning process. The results of this training showed that participants were very enthusiastic and actively participated, despite challenges related to access to adequate devices. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on improving the quality of education, by encouraging the integration of AI technology in the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in the future.
