Abstract

The future of education is increasingly worrying due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic since the end of 2019. Restrictions on community activities and campus closures have forced university administrators to use e-learning. On the other hand, online learning has encountered many obstacles. Barriers to the use of e-learning are thought to stem from external problems (online facilities and infrastructure) or educators and students (internal factors), such as lack of literacy, low absorption, level of understanding, and other non-technical factors. This study aims to examine further the influence of external factors and digital literacy and the moderating effect of digital literacy with external factors (System Design, User Friendly, Devices, Internet, Electricity) on the actual use of campus e-learning at Islamic universities. This study found that: External factor variables have a significant positive effect on the actual use of e-learning. The digital literacy variable has a significant positive effect on the actual use of e-learning. The digital literacy variable weakens the influence of external factors on the actual use of e-learning at Islamic universities in Indonesia.

Abstract

The concept of mental workload is fully used and leads to various theoretical and methodological models. For this purpose, we are conducted in the same way as a systematic review for understanding the concept and a factor that identifies work and work situations that affect personal tasks, or mental workload field. A systematic review was obtained from scientific papers issued from 2010-to 2021. Mental workload is multidimensional, so that a conceptual definition of mental workload should therefore integrally encompass the most elementary dimensions of mental workload. In general, most factors affected mental workloads, including working environments, individual differences, temporal pressure, and task difficulty/compliance complexity. Techniques for assessing subjective workloads are popular in several studies because of their ease of use and sensitivity to workload fluctuations. The NASATLX scale is the most common subjective technique and is used in a wide range of fields. Subjective and objective measurements cannot even measure all kinds of factors that affect mental distress. The main difficulty facing researchers is establishing standardized measurements of mental workload and its normal range so that effective comparisons can be made between groups of subjects. These results can provide measurement development recommendations using three approaches: subjective, objective, and behavioral. Keywords: mental workload; measurement; workload factors

Abstract

The moral damage caused by the erosion of positive values and national character is quite concerning. This phenomenon has encouraged government concern through strengthening students’ character. Strengthening students' character through formal education has not produced significant results, as evidenced by the many symptoms of moral decay and crime involving students in Indonesia. To overcome this, an alternative strategy is needed to elaborate between character education based on thoughts and hearts, which non-formal educational institutions can carry out. This research explores the suluk method as an alternative for forming religious characters for students who practice the Thariqah Al-Mu'min in West Kalimantan. This study uses a case study method and a qualitative approach. The research results found that; suluk can shape the religious character of students who practice the Al-Mu'min Order; these characteristics are; peace of mind, discipline, enthusiasm in worship, gratitude, trustworthiness, honesty, understanding the purpose of life, feeling close to Allah, feeling more moral than before, feeling more important in controlling lust, respecting others, increasing love for the hereafter, increasing longing for Allah and His Messenger, and sincere in worship. Suluk can give a deep religious impression and feel the presence of God in his life. This study emphasizes the importance of using the method of suluk in non-formal Islamic societies and formal Islamic education institutions such as Islamic boarding schools and religious colleges to form pious students. However, suluk also has weaknesses; only a thariqah practitioner can practice suluk. The students must also be physically and mentally prepared because the suluk method requires seriousness to form a religious character in the performer.

Abstract

Regression analysis is a statistical technique frequently employed across diverse disciplines utilizing SPSS. Users lacking a robust basis in regression and infrequently utilizing SPSS will experience anxiety. Anxiety will be intensified by the interpretation of the analysis results. This work aims to create user-friendly statistical software for regression analysis, requiring little configuration and capable of interpreting analytical results. This study employed the SCLD development model. This paradigm comprises five stages: Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, and System. The produced software is titled Simple Statistical Software series Regression Analysis, abbreviated as 3S-AR. The development yielded the 3S-AR program, which possesses functionality for regression analysis. The validation of development results was conducted by comparing the outcomes of 3S-AR analysis with those obtained from SPSS software. 3S-AR provides numerous advantages. Initially, it was user-friendly, and minimal configuration was required. A single analysis can present the outcomes of the regression analysis alongside all relevant assumptions. Secondly, the capability to offer an interpretation of the analytical findings. Third, if an analysis is incomplete, it can offer recommendations on the user's next steps. Fourth, it is complimentary. The development outcomes can facilitate users in conducting regression analysis with ease, particularly for individuals lacking a robust statistical background and proficiency in regression analysis tools.
