Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ Teaching material is one of essential material used by teacher as teaching tools. Handout is known as one of the teaching tools. It is important for teacher to develop their own teaching tools which support the teacher to achieve the learning indicators. Handout is one of the teaching materials that can be used by teachers or students in the learning process.There are many topics learned by students in senior high school. Animalia is one of the topics that can be learned by the student. It is a topic that has a wide scope. In senior high shcool, students should be able to learn the characteristic, example, the benefit of phylum for enviroment. Teachers need to develop teaching tool such as handout to figure out the wide concept of invertebrate by appliying contextual learning. Developing handout using Research and developnet design would help the teacher achieving purpose of the research. This research was aimed to determine whether the handout which had been developed was appropriate for use in senior high school. The research design applied in this research was a Research and Development (R&D). The research was done in some steps like data collection, planning, development of product, and evaluation stage. The subjects of this research were biology teachers and the students of senior high school. The experts’ judgment result of the integrated science handout was 83, teachers responses were 81.6%, students responses were 83.2% and students’ average score was 81.2 above the score of 75 as passing grade. It can be concluded that the developed handout meets the requirements as teaching materials.

Abstract

TThe area of harvested shallots in Brebes is 60.82% of the total harvested area in Central Java Province. Production of shallots in 2018 reached 10,519,484 quintals. Pesantunan Village, Wanasari District, has a high productivity of 121.544 quintals/Ha and Bangsri Village has a productivity of 98.28 quintals/Ha. The abundant potential of onions also has an impact on the abundant onion waste, so that the potential for this onion waste will be made a composite as the embodiment of the Innovation Village. The purpose of this community service activity is to create a Technology Innovation Village to community groups in Pesantunan and Bangsri Villages regarding the use of onion waste into a composite.The method offered is divided into two, namely Soft Program and Hard Program.The result of the composite technology innovation village program, number of participants in the Pesantunan Village was 25 from the "Santun Asri" community group and 15 people in the Bangsri Village from the "Bumdes" membership. Participants were provided with a soft program including waste management and technology innovation villages in the composite field. Participants were also provided with a Hard Program, is practicing making composites with waste onions

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to determine the effectiveness of the guided discovery practicum method on global warming material to improve students' critical thinking, and (2) to determine the profile of students' critical thinking skills using the guided discovery practicum method on global warming material. This study is a quantitative study using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was class VII students at SMP Negeri 14 Tegal City in the 2019/2020 academic year as many as 58 students. The sampling technique used simple random sampling and obtained 24 students in class VII C as the experimental class and class VII B as many as 24 students as the control class. The results showed that: (1) the guided discovery practicum method in science learning had an effect on students' critical thinking skills, this was seen from the average value of the final ability test (posttest) in the experimental class of 77.75 and the average score in the experimental class. control of 70.00. and (2) the application of the guided discovery practicum method in the experimental class in the quite effective category in improving students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the average N-Gain value in the experimental class of 57.17%. Meanwhile, the control class that did not use guided discovery was less effective. This can be seen from the average value of N-Gain in the control class of 43.18%.Keyword: Guided discovery practicum method, critical thinking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa metode concept mapping bervisi SETS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest and postest group design. Peta konsep yang digunakan dalam bentuk fill in mapp sehingga peserta didik diminta untuk melengkapi peta konsep yang telah disediakan. Penelitian ini di analisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis data pretest dan postest menggunakan uji t bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil pretest dan postest dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05. Sehingga hipotesis pada penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa ditolak dan diterima.  ditolak karena hasil uji t menyatakan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil pada pretest dan postest dengan nilai postest lebih tinggi dari pada nilai pretest sehingga hipotesis yang dapat diterima  yaitu ada peningkatan hasil belajar dan berpikir kritis peserta didik melalui metode concept mapping bervisi SETS. This study aims to determine that the SETS vision concept mapping method can improve students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a quantitative approach and this type of research is experimental research. The research design used was the pretest and post-test group design. The concept map used in the fill-in app form so that students are asked to complete the concept map that has been provided. This study was analyzed using t-test. The results obtained from the pretest and post-test data analysis used the t-test that there were differences between the results of the pretest and post-test with a significance value of 0.00 <0.05. So that the hypothesis in the study can be seen that rejected and accepted. rejected because the results of the t-test state that there are differences in the results at the pretest and post-test with the post-test value higher than the pretest value so that the accepted hypothesis is that there is an increase in students' learning and critical thinking through SETS vision concept mapping method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan komunikasi ilmiah melalui implementasi kartu kuartet dan respon siswa setelah menggunakan implemtasi kartu kuartet. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain posttest only control grup. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di kramat kabupaten tegal. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan uji purposiv sampling, uji intrumen yang meliputi uji validitas teoritis (validitas isi dan konstruk), uji validitas empiris (rasch model), uji prasyarat analisis (uji normalitas, uji homogenitas), anlaisis uji hipotesis (independen sample t-test) dan analisis kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: hasil perbedaan komunikasi ilmiah siswa melalui implementasi kartu kuartet dengan menggunakan independen sample t-test memperoleh yang signifikan yaitu 0,00 < 0,05, dan respon siswa setelah menggunakan kartu kuartet sangat tinggi This study aims to determine the differences in scientific communication through the implementation of quartet cards and student responses after using the implementation of a quartet card. Research conducted using a qualitative approach. This type of research is an experiment with a posttest only control group design. The location of this study is one of the junior high schools in Kramat Tegal. Methods of data collection using tests, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used were purposive sampling, instrument testing which included tests of theoretical validity (content and construct validity), empirical validity tests (rasch models), analysis prerequisite tests (normality tests, homogeneity tests), analysis of hypothesis tests (independent sample t- test) and questionnaire analysis. The results of this study state that: the results of differences in scientific communication of students through the implementation of a quartet card using an independent sample t-test obtained a significant of 0.00 <0.05, and the response of students after using a quartet card is very high

Abstract

E-learning based learning is a trend in era 4.0 that requires learning readiness. This study is aimed at (1) developing GS-based e-learning readiness scale items to empower standardized TCKs; (2) validating the scale of e-learning readiness using Rasch modeling. The method used is the research on the development of modified Plomps according to needs, consisting of 3 stages, namely (1) the initial investigation stage; (2) stages of development (scale design construction); and (3) assessment stages (tests, evaluations and revisions). ata analysis using Rasch modeling with R-program 3.1.2. The results showed that the preparation of standardized e-learning learning readiness scale items through (a) study of the learning readiness scale theory; (b) defining concepts and operations; (c) determine dimensions; (d) determine indicators; (e) compile scale items; (f) rational validation by experts; (g) field trials; (h) Rasch modeling validation test. Validation of rasch modeling shows that e-learning readiness scale items are declared valid by considering aspects of content and substance. Therefore, this instrument can be applied in learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the differences in students' critical thinking skills in natural science subjects between those who use the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model (TSTS) and those who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model (2) the effectiveness of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type of cooperative learning models and Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models in improving students' critical thinking skills. This type of research was an experiment with a Posttest-Only Control Design group method. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling to determine the experimental class and the controlled class. Data collection techniques were the test. Furthermore, the research instrument used the final test to measure students' critical thinking skills. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained the results of hypothesis testing and hypothesis testing on the effectiveness of students' critical thinking skills. The calculation results of the hypothesis test for differences in critical thinking skills of students using the Independent Samples t-test showed tcount greater than ttable (14.710 greater than 1.674) and a significance value of 0.000 less than0.05, while the results of the effectiveness test on students' critical thinking skills used the One Sample t-test. The test shows the value of tcount greater than ttable (11.654 greater than 1.708) and a significance value of 0.000 less than0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh perubahan bentuk lahan Sungai Gung yang tidak pada posisi awal dan telah mengikis tanah persawahan masyarakat Desa Kajen saat ini, dimana sawah-sawah yang ada di sekitar daerah ini telah banyak yang hilang akibat dari penggerusan yang terus dilakukan dan menyebabkan longsor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat tentang keberadaan aktivitas penambangan batu dan pasir serta mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan akibat keberadaan aktivitas penambangan batu dan pasir di Sungai Gung Desa Kajen Kecamatan Lebaksiu melalui perspektif pendekatan SETS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan bervisi SETS. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah warga RW.05 sebanyak 30 orang yang dipilih menggunakan metode sampling area (sampling wilayah). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui pengisian kuesioner. Hasil penelitian diperoleh  bahwa aktivitas penambangan batu dan pasir di Sungai Gung Desa Kajen memberikan dampak positif terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat, masyarakat melihat bahwa adanya penambangan pasir memberikan manfaat sebagai pekerjaan pokok masyarakat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari, dan memberikan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, dampak lingkungan yang ditimbulkan yaitu keringnya sumber air warga, potensi terjadinya longsor, rusaknya struktur tanah, dan berkurangnya lahan untuk produksi pertanian. Kata Kunci: Aktivitas penambangan, batu pasir, pendekatan SETS
