Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kinerja perawat yang baik merupakan jaminan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan yang diberikan terhadap pasien yang baik yang sakit maupun sehat. Melalui kinerja perawat diharapkan dapat menunjukkan kontribusi profesionalnya secara nyata dalam miningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan, yang berdampak pada pelayanan kesehatan, dan dampak akhir pada kualitas hidup dan kesejahteraan Masyarakat. Kinerja perawat salah satu rumah sakit Provinsi Lampung masih mendapatkan nilai cukup dalam melakukan komunikasi dan komplain pasien. Gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruangan mempengaruhi kinerja perawat karena menurut penelitian beberapa gaya kepemimpinan berkontribusi pada motivasi kerja perawat. Lingkungan kerja juga mempengaruhi kinerja perawat karena lingkungan kerja yang kondusif memungkinkan perawat lebih bersemangat dalam bekerja sehingga hasil kerja lebih memuaskan. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruangan dan lingkungan kerja dengan kinerja perawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Pringsewu. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis peneitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional Populasi sebanyak 129 responden dengan sampel sebanyak 99 responden. Teknik sampling dengan cara purposive sampling. Analisis univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji gamma. Hasil: Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruangan mayoritas bergaya kepemimpinan baik sebanyak 74 (74,7%). Lingkungan kerja mayoritas memiliki kategori baik sebanyak 49 (49,5%). Kinerja perawat pelaksana mayoritas berkinerja baik sebanyak 79 (78,8%).  Analisa bivariat menggunakan uji gamma didapatkan p-value 0,000 (<0,05), menunjukkan ada hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruangan dan lingkungan kerja  dengan kinerja perawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Pringsewu. Simpulan: Diharapkan kepala ruangan dapat menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan dan lingkungan kerja yang sesuai agar dapat meningkatkan kinerja perawat di ruangan.

Abstract

As much as 80% of the issues that result in medical errors are related to handover. One endeavor to increase patient safety at the hospital is the use of SBAR communication during handovers. The management duties of the head of the room, such as checking, directing, and evaluating the implementation of the handover, are directly tied to the effectiveness of implementing efficient communication during a handover. SBAR communication during handovers is a problem that happens in Pringsewu Hospital. The objective of this study is to determine the correlation between head management function and the implementation of handovers using SBAR communication at Pringsewu Regional Hospital. This research type is quantitative. The research design used a descriptive correlation using a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Pringsewu Regional Hospital in May 2023. The total population was 70 nurses in 5 inpatient rooms. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire and data analysis used the Fisher's exact test. The results showed that there is a correlation between the room head management function and the implementation of handover using SBAR communication, with a p-value = 0.007. It is expected that the head of the room will improve the 5 management functions of the head of the room, especially the supervisory function so that handovers using SBAR communication can be carried out optimally.

Abstract

Kemampuan Supervisi Kepala Ruangan yang baik berpengaruh terhadap meningkatnya kepatuhan dalam kelengkapan pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan, pengetahuan perawat tentang pendokumentasi asuhan keperawatan berdasarkan 3S serta dapat meningkatkan mutu asuhan keperawatan dan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan. Sedangkan Di RSUD Jend Ahmad Yani Metro kepala ruangan perlu melakukan supervisi yang lebih optimal untuk meningkatkan kualitas dokumentasi asuhan keperawatan dan beberapa perawat belum paham pendokumentasi asuhan keperawatan. Tujuan penelitian ini diketahui hubungan supervisi ruangan dan pengetahuan pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan berdasarkan 3S (SDKI, SIKI, SLKI). Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian deskriptif kolerasional menggunakan penedekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh perawat rawat inap RSUD Jend Ahmad Yani Metro sebanyak 164 perawat. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 116 perawat dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisa data menggunakan uji gamma. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan supervisi kepala ruangan dengan mutu asuhan keperawatan di ruangan rawat inap RSUD Jend Ahmad Yani Metro diperoleh P-value 0,000 (<0.05), dan pengetahuan pendokumentasi berdasarkan 3S dengan mutu asuhan keperawatan di ruangan rawat inap RSUD Jend Ahmad Yani Metro diperoleh P-value 0,000 (<0.05). Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadikan sebuah masukan bagi RSUD Jend Ahmad Yani Metro untuk memberikan kebijakan melakukan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi supervisi kepala ruangan serta perawat dalam melakukan pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan di setiap ruangan.

Abstract

The sub-optimal execution of discharge planning often leads to an increase in readmission rates, ultimately resulting in patients bearing the costs of extended hospital stays. Data regarding the implementation of discharge planning in Indonesia reveals that 61% of nurses in Yogyakarta and 54% of nurses in Bandung do not conduct discharge planning Observational data indicated that nurses were not implementing discharge planning in accordance with the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the ward. The objective of this study is to evaluate the level of optimization in discharge planning practices at General Hospital of Pringsewu. Data collection methods conducted on November 9th 2024, involved interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The findings highlighted a nursing management issue that the sub-optimal implementation of discharge planning in the Surgical Ward at The General Hospital of Pringsewu. The planned intervention is to provide education on the importance of optimal discharge planning. The intervention was carried out on December 20th 2024, through educational sessions that emphasized the significance of discharge planning. Following the educational activity, there was a measurable improvement in the nurses' knowledge regarding discharge planning. Pre-test results ranged from 50% to 70%, while post-test results ranged from 80% to 95%. It is anticipated that the enhancement of nurses' knowledge will lead to the optimization of discharge planning practices in the surgical ward, thereby improving the overall quality of patient care provided by nurses.

Abstract

Supervision should be scheduled and programmed, and if conducted continuously, it can ensure that nursing care is delivered in accordance with nursing practice standards. According to data in Indonesia, the average supervision by ward heads is categorized as less than satisfactory at 49.3%, while only 50.7% is considered good. This indicates that ward heads in various hospital departments are perceived as less effective by nurses in implementing their leadership, particularly regarding supervision. A pre-survey revealed the absence of a scheduled supervision timetable, guidelines/SOPs for supervision, and documentation of supervision results. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of supervision at the surgical ward of Pringsewu Regional Public Hospital. Data collection methods, conducted on November 9, 2024, included interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The findings identified a nursing management issue: the suboptimal implementation of supervision at the surgical ward of Pringsewu Regional Public Hospital. The planned activities included socialization on the application of supervision, supervision flow, and optimal supervision techniques. The implementation of these activities took place on December 20, 2024, through the socialization of supervision practices. The evaluation results after the socialization in the surgical ward showed that supervision was being carried out effectively. The ward head, team leader, and five nurses recognized the critical importance of supervision in improving the quality of care in the surgical ward. It is expected that the ward head (supervisor) will conduct supervision according to the established schedule, guidelines, and job descriptions, thereby enhancing the quality of nursing care in the surgical ward to achieve optimal outcomes.
