Abstract

The 2019 coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in Indonesia has decreased. Some schools have started holding face-to-face meetings with students. Some schools are still doing distance learning (online). Many problems are found in online learning, such as the lack of attention of students and lack of understanding of students understanding the material presented by the teacher. Therefore, it is necessary to use learning methods that can attract the interest and attention of students in distance learning (online). One of the learning methods is the Montessori method. The use of the Montessori method is considered to be able to provide a different atmosphere for students in the learning process. In fact, there are still teachers in schools who are not familiar with the Montessori method The use of the Montessori method is considered to be able to provide a different atmosphere for students in the learning process. Abstract

Indonesian speaking skills is essential for foreign students from Thailand who was educated in Indonesia, especially at Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya. Through skills for speaking Indonesian properly, Thai students were able to communicate with people residing in the vicinity. Particularly, in understanding the course material and expression. Indonesian language course for speaking skill for Thai students in Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya aims to make the students able to recognize and understand the diversity of Indonesian and serves as a science to improve impaired speech in the Indonesian language, which will also affect the ability to write Indonesian. Through course, Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya students’ who came from Thailand has been quite able to recite the alphabet and make a simple sentence that can be used in communications. However, this ability stills needs to be aharpened in order to become proficient communicate using Indonesian.

Abstract

Concentration is an important aspect of mastering the material. Especially for students in elementary school. The age that is still very young, active, and enjoying to play, will have difficulty in understanding the subject material when they lack concentration. Understanding lessons at school experiences ease when combined with the game. The concentration game technique training for Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers in Palangka Raya aims to develop knowledge and skills for teachers to combine games with lessons so that they can produce meaningful learning.

Abstract

The provision of Murotal Al Qur'an therapy aims to improve the life skills of students at SLBN 2 Palangka Raya as it is known that the Al Qur'an is a guide for the life of Muslims. The results of the research show that listening to the Murotal Al Qur'an can have a calming effect on the listener so that it can improve the quality of sleep for children with mental disabilities who have difficulty sleeping. Apart from psychological effects, physiological effects are also felt by using Murotal Al Qur'an therapy. In general, giving Murotal Al Qur'an Surat Ar Rahman therapy to students at SLBN 2 Palangka Raya has a calming effect. Some students tend to be active, like walking around in the room. Some may be asked to sit and listen to the chanting of the verses of QS Ar Rahman. Some of them prefer to be active, touch or hold objects in the school prayer room that attracts their attention. Some take the prayer mat and perform the prayer movements.

Abstract

The 2019 coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) had a broad influence on the economy in Indonesia. One of them was a little entrepreneur. Government regulation to maintain distance and decrease public places and characters from the swift spread of coronavirus caused many stores or businesses to close or greatly decrease the number of buyers or even no buyers. This condition certainly negatively affected little entrepreneurs, which could cause a decrease in immunity. One of the efforts to overcome was through giving Al Qur’an counseling and activity practice in daily life where was expected more increase the strength of the entrepreneur’s spirit and could face life in covid-19 and next.

Abstract

Education is important for humans, including people with autism. However, there are still many autistic people who have difficulty learning. One of the difficulties experienced is learning about Islam. The purpose of this study: 1). The Importance of Islamic Education for People with Autism in Palangkaraya City, 2). Islamic Education Model for the Autism in the City of Palangkaraya. the type of research used is qualitative research using narrative strategy. The Data collection is done by interview and documentation. Subjects in the study, are 1). Teacher, 2). Parents, 3). The religious figure, 4). Ministry of Religious Affairs of Palangka Raya City. The data analysis techniques used was descriptive analytics. The results obtained in this study emphasize that autistic people are still obliged to study religion, especially Islam. This is evident from the participation of people with autism in Islamic studies in schools. While at home, parents still teach their children about religion. The learning of Islam given is very varied through the process of guidance, equalization of treatment with peers, imitation of peer behavior, and murotal therapy of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Parents of children with special needs want their children to attend public schools, together with other children. The desire is supported by the government by launching an inclusive school. This study aims 1). Knowing the characteristics of children with special needs in Elementary School (Inclusion) in Palangkaraya City, 2). Knowing the impact of the presence of children with special needs in Elementary School (Inclusion) in Palangka Raya city, 3). Knowing the abilities of children with special needs in Elementary School (Inclusion) in Palangka Raya city. The research approach used is the qualitative approach. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of children with special needs individually vary. However, its main characteristics, namely experiencing weakness in the academic field. On the other hand, children with special needs in Palangka Raya City Inclusion School have more advantages in the non-academic field.

Abstract

Educate the children with autism are the same as educating the other children who attend regular schools. There are many variations of therapy, methods, strategies, techniques applied learning alternated with therapy, methods, strategies, and other learning techniques. This study is aims to determine the relationship between them and the functions of education provided. This study is a qualitative study based literature. The data collection is done by collecting documents such as books and research journals. Analysis of the data used was content analysis. The results showed that the relationship between the type of education is a mutually supportive relationship and can not be separated from one another. While the function of education for children with autism, there are three, namely: optimizing the function of sensory, communication and social interaction, and guided the ability and skills to take care of themselves.

Abstract

Children with autism are children with distinctive characteristics that require unique education anyway. Therefore, teachers understanding to the characteristics of children with autism are very helpful in the selection of a given model of education. This research was conducted in SLBN 1 Palangkaraya in order to determine the characteristics of children with autism in SLBN 1 Palangka Raya as well as a model of education provided by the teachers. The study focused on children with autism in Junior High School, amounting to 5 (five) people. Based on the results of the study, there were differences in the characteristics possessed by the five children with autism. Such differences can be observed from the ability to speak and the ability of the learning process. While based on the edsucational model used by the teacher is a model of behavior modification. Through this model of behavior modification, children with autism are educated to have the ability to interact socially and communicate with others and able to be part of the class.
