Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia mengalami transformasi melalui konsep Merdeka Belajar. Pada tingkat perguruan tinggi, konsep tersebut melahirkan program Kampus Merdeka yang bertujuan memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk belajar di luar program studinya. Sebagai salah satu program belajar yang telah umum diselenggarakan oleh perguruan tinggi di Indonesia, magang atau praktik kerja dalam kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka mengalami perubahan signifikan pada jumlah satuan kredit semester. Transisi pemaknaan satuan kredit semester dari jam belajar menjadi jam kegiatan mengharuskan kampus melakukan penyesuaian agar capaian pembelajaran mahasiswa tetap terpenuhi. Melalui penelitian ini, kesesuaian antara konsep yang diusung pemerintah dengan implementasi program magang akan ditinjau berdasarkan kerangka filosofis kurikulum pendidikan dari lima aspek, yakni keseimbangan, kedalaman dan keluasan, keutuhan, keberlanjutan, serta progresivitas dalam proses belajar peserta didik. Data yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka pada kasus ini didapatkan melalui eksplorasi data sekunder dan wawancara dengan mahasiswa serta dosen Perguruan Tinggi X, sebuah perguruan tinggi negeri di Jawa Barat. Studi kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dalam bentuk naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara implementasi kebijakan dengan filosofi kurikulum dari segi keseimbangan. Namun, pihak dosen mampu melakukan adaptasi untuk memenuhi kesesuaian bobot satuan kredit semester dengan kompetensi yang seharusnya dimilikimahasiswa.

Abstract

College adjustment (CA), or adaptation to college life, has been proven to predict college student achievement and persistence during their college study. Therefore, measuring students’ college adjustment from the first year of study would be fundamental. Indonesia needs a valid and reliable instrument to measure college adjustment accurately. This study investigates the validity and reliability of SACQ (Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire), an adapted version to Bahasa Indonesia. SACQ is a widely used measurement tool for college adjustment developed by Baker and Siryk (1984). This study uses a Confirmatory Factor Analysis to measure the validity and reliability of SACQ as a GPA predictor. The result shows that the Indonesian adaptation version of SACQ is valid and reliable in measuring college students’ adjustment, χ 2 (1, N = 1033) = 1.01, p = .315; RMSEA = .003. The impact of this study is that Indonesia can widely use this instrument to measure the level of college adjustment.

Abstract

Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental health problems experienced by adolescents and young adults around the world, including university students. Those who experience anxiety often face difficulties in learning and problem-solving. In the cognitive behavioral therapy approach, one of the most common sources of anxiety is irrational thoughts and beliefs within the individual. If left untreated, anxiety can lead to severe consequences, including depression. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of a combination of cognitive restructuring therapy and relaxation techniques in reducing anxiety and irrational thoughts that trigger anxiety in college students. The research method used a single-subject pre-test post-test design with the subject being a 22-year-old male college student. Measurements were taken using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Shortened General Attitudes and Beliefs Scale (SGABS). The results showed the effectiveness of the intervention in reducing irrational attitudes and beliefs that trigger anxiety in the subject. Subjects became more proficient in identifying, debating, and restructuring irrational thoughts into rational and adaptive thoughts. In addition, the subjects effectively applied relaxation techniques, which helped them feel more comfortable when facing anxiety-provoking situations. The implications of this study indicate the importance of applying a combination of cognitive restructuring therapy and relaxation techniques in overcoming anxiety among college students.Gangguan kecemasan adalah salah satu gangguan mental yang paling umum terjadi pada remaja dan dewasa muda di seluruh dunia, tak terkecuali pada mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang mengalami kecemasan dilaporkan menderita kesulitan belajar dan pemecahan masalah. Dalam pendekatan terapi perilaku kognitif, salah satu sumber kecemasan yang paling sering ditemui adalah pemikiran dan keyakinan yang irasional pada diri individu. Apabila tidak ditangani dengan tepat kecemasan dapat berakibat fatal dan berujung pada depresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas kombinasi terapi restrukturisasi kognitif dan teknik relaksasi dalam mengurangi kecemasan dan pemikiran irasional yang memicu kecemasan pada mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain subjek tunggal pre-test post-test dengan satu mahasiswa laki-laki berusia 22 tahun sebagai subjek. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) dan Shortened General Attitude and Beliefs Scale (SGABS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi ini efektif dalam menurunkan sikap dan kepercayaan irasional yang memicu kecemasan pada subjek. Subjek menjadi lebih mampu mengidentifikasi, mendebat, dan merestrukturisasi pemikiran irasional menjadi lebih rasional dan adaptif. Subjek juga dapat menerapkan teknik relaksasi dengan efektif yang membantu dirinya merasa lebih tenang dalam menghadapi situasi yang memicu kecemasan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penerapan kombinasi terapi restrukturisasi kognitif dan teknik relaksasi dalam mengatasi kecemasan pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

Students’ career anxiety: A systematic literature review. Career-related concerns are an issue even within student population. Previous researches have aimed to explore students’ career anxiety but there has not been any literature review that concludes these findings. Objectives: This study aims to systematically review existing researches to find out how career-related anxieties have been identified and what might predict them. Methods: From 780 articles found, 17 articles were considered eligible in which information such as definition, measurement methods, and correlates were then extracted. Findings: Students’ career anxiety is generally defined in terms of feelings, physiological reactions, and cognitive components related to students’ career situations. Factors related to individuals, their environment, and helpful environmental and psychological resources were identified. Conclusion: Students’ career anxiety might manifest itself in negative feelings, physiological reactions, and maladaptive cognitive state. Abstract

The Effect of Student Learning Style Training on Teacher Learning Methods. Objectives: This study aims to improve teachers' comprehension of students' learning style differences. Methods: This study was conducted in the form of training that used the principles of experiential learning. Sixteen participants participated in the "Get to Know Student's Learning Styles." Three levels of evaluation were used to measure the result: (1) reaction evaluation, (2) learning evaluation, and (3) behavior evaluation. Findings: The results of this study show a positive reaction from the participants, a significant increase in knowledge after the training, and improvement in the direct implementation of various learning methods to accommodate all of the students' learning styles. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of experiential learning-based collaborative working training in enhancing the collaborative competence of stakeholders in elementary school setting. The research participant included of 15 stakeholders, comprising not only school leaders (such as principals and vice principals) but also foundation board members and teacher coordinators at SD X, a private school in Depok. The study employed a one-group pretest-posttest design with a quantitative approach and evaluated outcomes based on three levels of the Kirkpatrick model: reaction, learning, and behavior. The instruments used in this study included a knowledge pretest and posttest, as well as attitude questionnaire. Data analysis techniques consisted of descriptive statistics for the reaction data and non-parametric tests for analyzing the learning outcomes. The results of the reaction evaluation showed a high level of satisfaction with the facilitators and materials, although aspects of the methods and tools need improvement. The learning evaluation, using a Wilcoxon test, revealed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (p = 0.007) with a large effect size (r = 0.693), indicating a significant increase in knowledge. The behavioral evaluation two weeks post-training showed positive attitudinal changes towards collaborative work within the school environment. These findings confirm that experiential learning-based training is effective in improving collaborative understanding and skills, and supports the achievement of school effectiveness in accordance with Marzano's Model.

Abstract

Studi dilakukan pada seorang remaja perempuan berusia 14 tahun yang diketahui memiliki pandangan diri yang kurang adekuat. Subjek cenderung mengkritik diri dan membandingkan diri dengan orang lain sehingga membutuhkan intervensi untuk meningkatkan self-esteem agar subjek dapat memandang diri lebih positif dan mampu menghadapi tantangan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini meneliti efektivitas Competence and Worthiness Training (CWT) untuk meningkatkan self-esteem pada subjek. CWT dilihat sebagai program yang sesuai untuk kebutuhan partisipan. Metode penelitian menggunakan single-subject A-B design dengan melihat perubahan self-esteem sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi CWT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CWT berhasil meningkatkan self-esteem X sebesar 20% dan menunjukkan perubahan perilaku positif di sekolah dan di rumah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, intervensi CWT dapat membantu remaja untuk mengembangkan self-esteem. Temuan ini dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan program intervensi dalam membantu remaja dengan self-esteem rendah. Kata kunci: competence and worthiness training, intervensi, psikoedukasi, self-esteem
