The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of fintech lending, venture capital, market orientation on MSME performance. In business performance, MSME owners still have problems using fintech lending, limited capital and market orientation knowledge. However, the existence of fintech lending can facilitate sales transactions and can provide capital easily. There are 250 SMEs registered in Kupang Village, then through the sample collection method using purposive sampling and obtained 50 manufacturing SMEs. The analytical technique used in this research is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that business capital and market orientation have a positive influence on the performance of MSMEs. Fintech lending has no effect on the performance of MSMEs.DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/afr.v5i2.7761

Abstract

Research aims: Few studies on crowdsourcing have been conducted concerning Indonesian investors and fund providers. This study, therefore, aims to examine the role of investment intentions by investors with the influence of attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control for investment decisions and the role of investment intentions as mediating variables on the relationship between perceived behavioral control and investment decisions.Design/Methodology/Approach: The research sample involved 100 investor respondents on a crowdfunding platform that had obtained permission from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The analysis in this study then utilized PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 3.0.Research findings: The study results demonstrated that while attitudes and perceived behavioral control positively affected investment intentions, subjective norms did not. Besides, perceived behavioral control positively affected investment intentions and crowdfunding investment decisions. Meanwhile, investment intention had a positive effect on crowdfunding investment decisions.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study used the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to examine the role of investment intention by investors with the influence of attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control for investment decisions and the role of intention as a mediating variable on the relationship between perceived behavioral control and investment decisions.Practitioners/Policy Implications: The implications of research in crowdfunding decision-making based on investors’ considerations are attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and investment intentions.Research Limitations/Implications: This research was limited to investment decisions in TPB-based crowdfunding only, so further research is needed to observe other aspects besides psychological factors, such as testing the level of education, income, gender, and others, that may strengthen investment decisions on the crowdfunding platform.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) and Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT) programs on the performance of MSMEs through differentiating mediation strategies. This study involved SMEs in Salatiga City using a purposive sampling method to purchase samples. Data is processed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The reported findings are that the KUR and BLT programs have a significant positive effect on the differentiation strategy and also on the performance of MSMEs. It is also proven that differences in strategy mediate the effect of the KUR and BLT programs on MSME performance. This can be a reference for MSME actors to increase capital in a business by wisely using the KUR and/or BLT programs to support the implementation of a differentiation strategy to improve operations.

Abstract

Financial and non-financial aspects can influence company performance, not excluding small-medium enterprises (SMEs). This research examines the non-financial aspect, since studies in this area are still limited. This research strives to demonstrate the existence of the neoclassical theory in the relationship framework between the business aspect (real sector) and SME performance. This study, which was conducted on batik SMEs in Central Java Province-Indonesia, consisted of 265 samples. The data was obtained from surveys through distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews with batik SME entrepreneurs. The data analysis used a structural equation model (SEM). These study results documented that business prospects have direct and indirect effects on SME performance. The indirect influences are produced through entrepreneurial-oriented financial mediation. This finding reveals that the neoclassical theory will be more effective to improve company performance through entrepreneurial-oriented finance. The importance of the role of this mediating variable is shown from the total effect of the coefficient that is higher than the indirect effect or the direct effect of the coefficient.
