Abstract

In Lumajang Regency, the coverage of Desa dan Kelurahan Siaga Aktif Puri in 2018 around 15% out 70% target set. The active performance of midwives in development of Desa dan Kelurahan Siaga Aktif is highly expected. They have a role in managing Desa dan Kelurahan Siaga Aktif. This study was a quantitative study aimed to analysis differences of midwives job performance managing desa/kelurahan siaga aktif with puri strata and Non pur strata in Lumajang Regency 2018. The results showed there was significantly different between Desa and Kelurahan Siaga Aktif with Puri Strata and non Puri in Lumajang Regenc among facilities and infrastructure (p = 0,000), training (p = 0.004) and community support (p = 0,000) There was no difference between knowledge variables (p = 0.107), years of service (p = 0.483), domicile (p = 0.546), intrinsic motivation (p = 0.756), extrinsic motivation (p = 0.151), supervision (p = 0.660), midwife performance (p = 0.105) with strata of Desa dan Kelurahan Siaga Aktif Puri with non Puri in Lumajang Regency.It can be concluded midwives among Desa dan Kelurahan Siaga Aktif strata Puri have different facilities and infrastructure, training, community support from the midwives Desa and Kelurahan Siaga Aktif strata non Puri.

Abstract

Background: Sekawan's is an association of drug-resistant TB sufferers who have recovered and was founded in 2016. Sekawan's need to have more technique in managing groups when conducting education or when they become facilitators of activities is a technical obstacle for human resources, even though the facilitator's job is to clarify the purpose of the meeting and design a suitable process. Participatory, fun, and engaging, managing the conversation process during meetings and encouraging groups to dare to enter creative areas so that the material obtained by participants is easy to understand, significantly reducing boredom using ice breakers. Method: The general aim of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of the target audience regarding techniques for managing TB education groups through Ice Breaking. This activity lasted 2 months, from situation analysis to reporting and writing articles. The main target is all 13 Sekawan's administrators. Community service techniques, namely increasing knowledge and skills in managing groups through ice breaking, will be held on Saturday, 13 August 2022, at Seger Nusantara Agro Edupark. Results: The result was that there were ten games taught to Sekawan's, >50% of the targets were able to practice being a facilitator that had been trained and the game module media received a certificate of recognition from Sekawan's because it was used as a daily guide when being a facilitator. Conclusion: This activity has shown the enthusiasm of participants in participating in the activity from start to finish from planning, implementation to monitoring and evaluation and received a good response from various parties including Sekawan's partner, namely Lung Hospital which has become a place for direct practice of educating the facilitators as a result of the activity capacity building.Keywords: TB, facilitator, ice-breaking.

Abstract

Background: Petik Laut is a tradition that is manifested in the form of rituals with aim of being a way of express gratitude to God Almighty. Petik Laut tradition has changed from what was originally simple with only holding ceremonies, ritual prayers. Petik Laut tradition has become lively with the addition of the Petik Laut carnival, this is where the loophole for drug abuse behavior occurs in the Petik Laut tradition. Method: This researched was a qualitative study with a case study approach. Determination of the main informants used the snowball sampling technique. The main informants in the study were three people who consumed drug abuse as drug providers. Results: 1) All key informants had diverse thoughts about the Petik Laut tradition which was interpreted as a from of safety, thanksgiving, celebration and public entertainment. 2) Informants said that important people as references were friends who were both doers in drug abuse behavior in Petik Laut tradition. 3) Informants stated that facilities for obtained drugs were by buying them themselves at specialty store sell alcoholic beverages, at drug stores, and by an undisclosed seller. 4) Social-cultural values of all informants considered drink alcohol as a culture same drink herbal medicine, consumed in a addition to carried out the Petik Laut tradition. Religious value because there is opposition to understanding of the majority of religious belief there, namely Islam. Conclusion: Drug abuse behavior in the Petik Laut tradition is not related to the social and cultural traditions of the Petik Laut.

Abstract

Myalgia, atau nyeri otot, adalah istilah medis yang berasal dari bahasa Yunani, di mana "myo" berarti otot dan "logos" berarti nyeri. Myalgia bukanlah penyakit, melainkan gejala dari berbagai kondisi yang sering disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor seperti penggunaan otot yang berlebihan, cedera, postur tubuh yang buruk, infeksi virus atau bakteri, stres, dan ketegangan otot. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada 13 Mei 2024 di gedung serbaguna PT PP Jember Indonesia Perkebunan Widodaren, melibatkan pekerja kebun karet dan beberapa pihak terkait dengan tujuan mengurangi myalgia dan meningkatkan kesehatan. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari empat tahapan: analisis situasi untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan kesehatan, perencanaan yang mencakup pembagian tugas dan alokasi dana, implementasi yang meliputi edukasi interaktif dan senam bersama, serta demonstrasi pembuatan jamu tradisional. Program diakhiri dengan penandatanganan surat komitmen oleh peserta untuk melakukan senam peregangan dan menanam Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) di rumah masing-masing. Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta sebesar 80% setelah kegiatan. Kegiatan edukasi meliputi pengenalan myalgia, penyebab, gejala, dan cara pencegahannya, diakhiri dengan praktik senam Raijo Taisou untuk meningkatkan kelenturan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dari 68,125% pada pre-test menjadi 86,25% pada post-test, serta tingkat kehadiran peserta mencapai 89,65%. Penandatanganan surat komitmen oleh peserta menandakan keseriusan dalam menerapkan pencegahan myalgia. Secara keseluruhan, Program PEMEJA berhasil memenuhi semua indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan. Kegiatan Pemeja dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah myalgia di masyarakat. Seluruh target sudah tercapai, dan penanda tanganan surat komitmen pun sukses dilakukan.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to optimize the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) among People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) at UPTD Liposos Jember through gymnastics and healthy eating. It addresses Indonesia’s triple burden of disease, emphasizing mental health as a key non-communicable disease, and promotes holistic recovery through physical activity and nutrition. Method: A community service design was used, involving 49 participants (29 students, 20 ODGJ). Activities followed three stages: orientation, implementation (joint gymnastics and education on healthy food), and evaluation via sharing sessions. The approach was guided by Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR). Practical Applications: The intervention enhances physical and mental health, social interaction, and health awareness. It can be replicated in rehabilitation centers to reduce stigma and improve quality of life.  Conclusion: The GERMAS-based activity successfully boosted enthusiasm, well-being, and social engagement, demonstrating its value in mental health promotion and sustainable behavior change.

Abstract

Purpose: This study evaluates the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions through exercise and gardening for individuals with mental disorders at UPTD Liposos Jember, addressing the high prevalence of mental health issues in the region and the need for sustainable, non-pharmacological rehabilitation. Method: A qualitative approach was employed from April to June 2025, involving rhythmic exercise and polybag gardening. Daily observations and documentation assessed behavioral changes, engagement, and social interaction among 35 participants. Practical Applications: Findings support integrating these activities into Individual Care Plans and rehabilitation curricula, enhancing patient motivation, social skills, and emotional well-being. The program also serves as training for caregivers and a model for community-based mental health services. Conclusion: Exercise and gardening significantly improved participants’ physical, mental, and social well-being, with facilitator involvement being key to success. Integration into routine care is recommended for long-term impact.
