Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has plagued the entire world, including Indonesia. The step to breaking the spread chain of COVID-19 is to apply health protocols such as handwashing and social distancing. The Covid-19 case in Klaten Regency Central Java for ten weeks until early February 2021 with the status of the Red Zone and death rate is 14.1 percent. Ngerangan Tourism Village has a thematic kampong with culinary and nature attractions, such as Pecel Kampong. The number of visitors reaches 600 tourists per day. This causes tourist sites to be clusters most prone to the spread of COVID-19 and must be equipped with adequate health protocols. Therefore, this service aims to implement health protocols during the Covid 19 pandemic through hand washing and social distancing. The service method has three stages, namely information, guidance, and habitual independence. The output of this service is in the form of technology that is socialized and donated in handwashing behavior in the form of 3 portable footstep sinks, four jerry cans of handwashing soap, one hand washing educational banner, and one banner for implementing health protocols. Meanwhile, the technology that was socialized and granted in the implementation of Social Distancing was in the form of 1 banner for implementing social distancing and 20 stickers indicating the implementation of social distancing.

Abstract

Abstract

The application of large-scale social restrictions (LSSR) during the Covid 19 pandemic in Indonesia significantly impacted the tourism sector. A Sustainable Rural Tourism model is expected to develop tourist village development during the Covid 19 pandemic through the WEB GIS (Website Geographical Information Systems) approach. It creates smart tourism through tourist information systems integrated with tourist websites. Ngerangan Tourist Village in Klaten Regency is a village where most of the population's economy is dependent on MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises) and farming activities. The research aims to formulate a tourism promotion model in Ngerangan tourism village through WEB GIS. The method used is quantitative. First, identifying the data needs such as spatial data (tourist attractions, tourist safety routes types, and infrastructure for implementing health protocols) and non-spatial data (information on MSME and virtual tours). Second, designing the tourism promotion system through WEB GIS and third, testing to see the output of the WEB GIS produced. The research output is  Web GIS using story maps application contains two spatial information about the Ngerangan tourist village. First, spatial information about tourist attractions includes locations, photos, and descriptions of tourist attractions. Second, spatial information regarding health protocols facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic includes locations, photos, and descriptions of health protocol facilities

Abstract

Coastal settlements are areas with a high level of vulnerability, both in terms of floods, tidal waves, land subsidence, and threats from climate change. Settlements in the North Pekalongan District are part of the coastal area, which is also struggling with flooding and tidal problems. Current efforts by the government tend to be responsive to current problems, and there are no adaptive efforts that look at long-term impacts. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop the application of the Water Sensitive Urban Design concept to realize resilient coastal settlements. The Water Sensitive Urban Design concept is one of the efforts that are based on coastal characteristics. The research method used quantitative descriptive, to identify the characteristics of the settlement and formulate design directions for the application of the Water Sensitive Urban Design concept. The results of this study showed that the application of the concept of Water Sensitive Urban Design are structuring river borders on the Loji River, providing air storage ponds downstream of the river, and installing rainwater harvesting systems.  Keywords: Water sensitive urban design, settlements, coastal area

Abstract

Abstract. Adaptation of public space users requires COVID 19 responsive design elements to support public health, especially for children aged 7-12 years who are classified as vulnerable and still need public space to play and socialize. The Lapangan Merdeka area is a public open space where children make up about 60% of visitors. Currently, there is still negligence in the application of health protocols. This study considers design requirements in implementing physical distancing, such as signage aspects. The quantitative method is used in this research. The analysis stages consisted of identifying the child's characteristics through behavior-setting and place-setting; and formulating design element needs through signage aspects such as directional signage, informative signage, and identification signage. The research result shows three-element of signage. First is directional signage, such as a circulation regulation on the surfaces of the jogging track. It is used for the signing facility on the jogging track. It uses a board stuck in the ground and is placed in the area leading to the field, and uses an information board with 1-1.5 meters on the jogging track. Second, informative signage such as an x-banner at all facility points. Third, identification signage such as a board containing an area plan and placed near the words "Lapangan Merdeka."

Abstract

Abstract. Semarang Old Town is a site in Semarang City that provides economically valuable public spaces that teenagers use. Due to irregular pedestrian circulation and packed economic activity points, Semarang Old Town is a sensitive location for the possible spread of the Covid-19 virus. The Covid-19 epidemic has not been addressed in the public spaces of Semarang Old Town. Circulation flow, circulation signage, crossing points, and health protocol facilities have all been identified as issues. This project intends to develop pedestrian circulation needs for teenagers in an economically valuable public place in Semarang Old Town in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The quantitative method employed in this study was behavior mapping and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The stages are as follows: first, identify teenage features; second, analyze design demands for adolescent pedestrian circulation elements. Then, construct the design requirements and placement. The study was conducted on a group of 41 adolescents aged 12 to 25, with observation taking place on Saturday night and Sunday morning (peak hours). According to quantitative descriptive analysis methodologies, adolescents prefer more simple, more adaptable designs and occupy less space by 57 percent..

Abstract

Public spaces need to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting the implementation of health protocols, so they do not become places for the virus to spread. Alleys in urban kampung as public spaces are undoubtedly prone to spread the virus. The narrow width of the alley makes it difficult for people to implement health protocols like the alleys in Kampung Sekayu in Semarang, which have not shown any adaptation. Signage has not been used to remind the implementation of health protocols. The research aims to find and recognize the placement of signage elements to help the implementation of health protocols in the alleys in Kampung Sekayu. This research method is quantitative with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study are directional signage is placed on the side of the alleyway adjacent to the fence of the surrounding house, identification and information signage are placed on the side of the alleyway which is not adjacent to the fence of the surrounding house. Directional signage is placed on the inside of the alley intersection, identification and information signage are placed on the outside of the alley intersection.
