Improving the quality of healthcare services became a major challenge for healthcare facilities to remain competitive and meet patient expectations. Total Quality Service (TQS) and Internal Control Systems were key factors in enhancing organizational performance, supported by the increasingly developed digital services. This study aimed to analyze the effect of Total Quality Service (TQS) and Internal Control Systems on Organizational Performance, mediated by Digital Services, in healthcare facilities in Bantul Regency. This research used a quantitative method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to managers and owners of healthcare facilities in Bantul Regency. The data analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS analysis tools. The results showed that Total Quality Service and Internal Control Systems had a significant effect on Organizational Performance. Furthermore, Digital Services mediated the relationship between Total Quality Service and Organizational Performance, as well as the relationship between Internal Control Systems and Organizational Performance. This indicated that the optimal implementation of digital services could enhance the effectiveness of quality management and internal control systems in improving the performance of healthcare facilities

Abstract

This study examines the influence of workload and work-life balance on organizational performance, with motivation as a mediating variable, among employees of PT Bank Woori Saudara 1906 Tbk, Region III (Central Java and D.I. Yogyakarta). The research is motivated by fluctuating employee performance appraisals observed between 2020 and 2024, with a notable increase in employees rated “Poor” and persistently low ratings of “Very Good.” Drawing upon Self-Determination Theory and Work-Family Border Theory, this study highlights workload, work-life balance, and motivation as key factors shaping employee performance. A quantitative approach with a causal associative survey design was employed, using Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to all 124 employees as part of a census sample. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) after conducting validity and reliability tests. The findings confirm that workload and work-life balance significantly affect organizational performance, both directly and indirectly through motivation. Properly managed workload and balanced personal-professional life contribute to higher focus, engagement, and productivity, while motivation acts as a critical psychological mechanism that enhances the positive effects of these factors.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Halal Supply Chain Integration (HSCI) on Quality Performance (QP) with Halal Production Practices (HPP) as a mediating variable, focusing on culinary SMEs operating in Pasar Gede Solo, Indonesia. Amid growing consumer awareness and regulatory requirements for halal compliance, the research explores whether HSCI directly improves QP or if the relationship is mediated by HPP. A quantitative descriptive design was employed, utilizing primary data collected from 52 SMEs through structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software to test the measurement and structural models, ensuring reliability and validity through composite analysis, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. The results indicate that HSCI does not have a direct significant effect on QP, suggesting that halal compliance in the supply chain alone is insufficient to enhance product quality. However, HSCI has a significant positive effect on HPP, demonstrating that strong integration within the halal supply chain reinforces the implementation of halal procedures. Conversely, HPP does not significantly affect QP and does not mediate the relationship between HSCI and QP. These findings emphasize the need for SMEs to combine halal assurance with quality management systems to improve competitiveness. Practical implications include the importance of supplier collaboration, technical support from regulators, and consumer education on halal and quality standards. Future research is recommended to include additional variables such as product innovation and customer satisfaction to better explain quality performance outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of profitability within Indonesia's food and beverage industry, specifically analyzing the role of firm size, liquidity, efficiency, leverage, and market power. Utilizing data from 24 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018-2022, the research employs multiple linear regression analysis to investigate these factors' impact on profitability, as indicated by Return On Assets (ROA). Results reveal that firm size, liquidity, efficiency, leverage, and market power collectively influence profitability, with market power emerging as the most significant determinant. While firm size and efficiency are positively associated with profitability, leverage negatively impacts it, and liquidity does not significantly affect it. The study's findings highlight the importance of strategic market positioning, operational efficiency, and prudent financial management in enhancing profitability.
