Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of dodol business and how much profit dodol producers in Village Bengkel, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This research was conducted from January 2019. This study used the sampling method by simple random sampling, in this study the sample used was 30 respondents. The sample in this study were dodol entrepreneurs living in Village Bengkel, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Based on the results of research to find out progressive strategies in the dodol business, to maintaining good quality products to increase dodol demand, maintaining affordable product prices for consumers to get regular customers and adding new customers, the relationship between business owners and dodol-making workers is runs well, the dodol-making workers are active, and the method of making it is quite easy and used manually.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT               Considering the importance of arabica coffee commodity for farmers, a clear picture of arabica coffee marketing channel from producer farmer to final consumer (Merchant) is needed so that the profit can be equally distributed. This study aims to determine the marketing channel, margin, marketing efficiency of arabica coffee in the village of Sitinjo II, Sitinjo Subdistrict, Dairi Regency. The method used is proportionate stratified random sampling as much as 50 farmers while collecting merchant samples taken by census method that is as much as 5 traders and for the factory is taken as many as 2 factories with Purposive sampling method. The results showed that there are two channels of arabica coffee marketing at the location of research that is, the first channel starts from the farmer to the factory in the village Sitinjo II Sitinjo District. The second channel starts from the farmers, the collecting merchant proceeds to the factory in the village of Sitinjo II, Sitinjo Subdistrict. The biggest marketing margin is RP.4.000 found on channel II and the more efficient channel is on channel I with an efficiency value of 7.51%.

Abstract

The objectives of this study to determine the effect of production, land area, fertilizer costs and labor costs on the income of corn farmers in Perbesi Village, Tiga Binanga District, Karo Regency. The research was conducted using sampling techniques by purposive sampling. Prasurvey data collection as many as 427 farmers in Perbesi Village had 1-2 Ha of corn planting area so 10% of the total population was 43 farmers as samples. The results showed that simultaneously production, land area, labor costs and fertilizer costs affected the income of corn farmers in Perbesi Village, Tigabinanga District (Fcount 26.768> Ftable 2.62). Partially the production variable has significant effect (thit 2.271), land area has no significant effect –(0.868), fertilizer costs have significant effect (3.326) and labor costs (-0.875) have no significant effect on the income of corn farmers in Perbesi village, Tigabinanga district with t table 1.68959. Simultaneously all variables  affect the income of corn farmers in Perbesi Village, while partially the production and cost of fertilizers have significant effect while land area and labor costs do not.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing channels and marketing efficiency of oyster mushrooms in Bangkat Village, Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The research location in Bangkat Village was chosen purposively. The total population of farmers is 20 farmers. The sampling method used is using the snowball sampling method, so the samples taken in this study were 8 farmers, 2 collectors, 2 merchant traders, 2 chrispy mushroom traders and 10 consumers. The total sample in this study was 24 samples. Methods of data collection using questionnaires, interviews and field observations. Data analysis uses marketing margin analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are 3 marketing channels for oyster mushrooms, namely the first channel selling oyster mushrooms to collectors and collectors selling back to mushroom retailers and traders selling to consumers. In the second channel, farmers sell oyster mushrooms to retailers and then traders sell them to consumers. In the third channel, farmers directly sell mushrooms to consumers. The three marketing channels for oyster mushrooms in the research area are efficient.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the value added and the feasibility of processing fish into salted fish. This research was conducted in Percut Village, Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict which is located in a coastal area which has quite good fishery potential and the average villager has a livelihood as a fisherman and most of the housewives of fishing families work as fish processors into salted fish. The sample in this study consisted of 36 respondents. Data analysis was carried out descriptively with added value and feasibility analysis. The results showed that the amount of added value obtained from the processing of salted fish in the research area with raw materials of 67.86 kg of wet fish was obtained as much as 47.14 kg of salted fish every month with a selling price of Rp. 23,000.00/kg and the profit earned is Rp. 421,626.25. The average added value of salted fish processing is Rp. 10,837.22/kg with a ratio of added value of 68.29% 50%, meaning that the added value is quite high. The feasibility analysis revealed that the R/C ratio was greater than 1, namely the processing of salted fish of 1.64. Because the R/C ratio is greater than one, it can be concluded that the salted fish processing business in the research area is feasible.

Abstract

The market is a place where transactions of goods are carried out by more than one seller and buyer. Traditional markets and modern markets are often located in one area close together. This will have an impact on traditional market traders. The impact of the existence of modern markets on traditional markets is in terms of a decrease in the income of traditional traders. This study aims to determine the impact of the presence of the Maju Bersama modern market on the income of MMTC traditional market traders. This research was carried out at the MMTC market, Percut Sei Tuan district in August 2021 with a total sample of 30 traditional market traders at MMTC who were taken by purposive sampling method. While the data collection method using questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that there was an influence on the income of traditional market traders at MMTC Market, Percut Sei Tuan District with the existence of the Maju Bersama modern market. The income of traditional market traders after the presence of the Maju Bersama modern market resulted in a decrease in income of 7.51%. The average income of traditional traders before the Maju Bersama modern market was Rp 2,063,333, and after the Maju Bersama modern market it was Rp 1,908,333. Sales of traditional traders after the existence of the Maju Bersama modern market decreased by 11.26%. The decline in sales of traditional traders has more impact on fruit sales, while buyers still choose to buy vegetables at traditional traders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai tambah singkong menjadi keripik singkong, mengetahui nilai tambah dan pendapatan pengolahan singkong menjadi keripik singkong pada UD.Rezeki Baru Cap Rumah Adat Minang dan mengetahui layak atau tidaknya industri pengolahan singkong menjadi keripik singkong pada UD.Rezeki Baru Cap Rumah Adat Minang. Penentuan lokasi ini dilakukan dengan sengaja (purposive sampling) dengan pertimbangan bahwa usaha keripik singkong UD. Rezeki Baru Cap Adat Minang merupakan produsen keripik singkong terbesar di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan sengaja (purposive). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan analisis nilai tambah metode Hayami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai tambah pengolahan singkong menjadi keripik singkong yaitu dipengaruhi oleh bahan baku sebesar 52,89 %, diikuti biaya bahan penolong sebesar 33,03 % dan biaya bahan tambahan sebesar 14,08%. Besarnya nilai tambah yang didapat dari hasil pengolahan singkong per hari sebanyak 4.596,67 kg diperoleh menjadi keripik sebanyak 1.512,87 kg dalam 1 kali proses produksi/hari dengan harga jual Rp. 15.000,00/kg dan keuntungan Rp. 8.050 /kg, dengan total keuntungan sebesar Rp. 8.484.977,78/hari. Nilai tambah rata-rata pengolahan singkong menjadi keripik singkong per produksi adalah Rp 3.406,99/kg dengan rasio nilai tambah sebesar 68,83 % 50 % artinya nilai tambah tersebut tergolong tinggi. Analisis kelayakan diketahui bahwa R/C rasio lebih besar dari 1 yaitu pengolahan singkong menjadi keripik singkong sebesar 1,60. Oleh karena R/C rasio lebih besar dari satu, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa usaha pengolahan singkong menjadi keripik singkong di daerah penelitian layak diusahakan

Abstract

Tempe chips are food made from soy tempeh in the form of plates / thin slices that are fried with the addition of flour and spices. The problem with tempe chip processing SMEs today is how to develop a strategy for developing micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) for tempe chips during the Covid-19 pandemic in Deli Serdang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the development strategy of Tempe Chips Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) during the Covid-19 pandemic in Deli Serdang Regency. The method used to determine the strategy for developing tempeh chips is by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Based on the results of research using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method of tempe chips in Deli Serdang Regency, a development strategy that is a priority to be applied is by increasing cooperation with retailers so that it will increase consumer purchasing power for tempe chip products. criteria and alternatives that become priority are the value of purchasing power with a weight of 18.16 and the value of retailers with a weight of 35.4. Based on the results of the implementation, the AHP method can provide recommendations in making decisions to increasing purchasing power can be done by increasing cooperation with retailers.

Abstract

Satisfaction is an assessment of a product by comparing the reality and expectations of food delivery services. Food delivery services are one of the strategic solutions nowadays and promise benefits for culinary business people. One form of business that uses various fruits as the main raw material for its business is fruit salad. Nayo Salad is a Small and Medium Enterprises. located on Jl. Rahmadsyah Gg. Emse No.3 Medan Area District, Medan City Regency. marketing of Nayo fruit salad is marketed offline and online in partnership with Food delivery services in Gofood, Grab Food and Shopee Food services. This study aims to determine Consumer Satisfaction with Purchasing Nayo Fruit Salad through Go-Food, Grab Food and Shopee Food Services. Determining the location of this research was carried out using a purposive method (intentionally). The data analysis method uses the analysis of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results obtained from this study are the percentage of satisfaction levels for nayo salad consumers who buy through Gofood, Grab Food, and Shopee Food services based on the indicators studied, namely service quality, product quality, delivery speed, and distribution options for Nayo fruit salad products
