Abstract

Used motorcycles ranging from the lower class to the upper class. The advent of the automatic type motorcycle is also a factor, the broader coverage of motorcycle users. The number of children who ride motorcycles increased, especially school children. They thought that riding a motorcycle to school is very efficient, not too late, more efficient, and ease in transportation.From the research, there are three main things that can be inferred. First, the role of the police in tackling motorcyclists by children in the jurisdiction of the city of Pekanbaru performed the role of pre-emptive, preventive and repressive. Second, the barriers faced by the police in tackling motorcyclists by children in the jurisdiction of the city of Pekanbaru comes from internal factors and external factors. Third, the police's efforts in tackling motorcyclists by children in the jurisdiction of the city of Pekanbaru is the traffic police work together with the schools and provide socialization and education. Advice Author, First, The traffic police unit should improve and maximize performance. Second, add to the traffic police personnel unit and expand its facilities. Abstract

Private Islamic Religious Colleges (PTKIS) are growing and developing. Including in Lampung Province, which has been supported by the existence of Kopertais Region XV Lampung since 2020. The field research described aims to explore a moderate attitude in quality assurance at PTKIS. The objects in this study are representatives of the types of tertiary institutions, namely the Islamic Institute of Religion (IAI), Islamic College of Religion (STAI), College of Tarbiyah Sciences (STIT), Islamic College of Economics and Business (STEBI), Islamic Higher Education College. ah (STIS). The results of the research show that moderation is needed in the implementation of a quality assurance system. This is important because the results of the quality assurance system, both SPMI and SPME will be a benchmark for PTKIS governance which will have an impact on the sustainability of all PTKIS activities. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how instructors believe about adopting the Flipped Classroom approach from a techno-pedagogical philosophy when teaching English. Furthermore, this study collects data from teachers on their perceptions of the Flipped Classroom model in the English course through surveys and interviews. EFL teachers who have adopted the Flipped Classroom model provide data. This current study employed a semi-structured interview and a five-point Likert scale questionnaire as the research instrument. A mixed-method research was the research design in this study. Twenty English instructors were chosen on purpose. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed the data using descriptive and statistical analysis. The results show that EFL teachers' opinions of the flipped classroom concept are usually positive. This study highlights the beneficial effects on students' learning, acknowledges implementation difficulties, and emphasizes how important it is to include teachers' viewpoints to develop effective teaching strategies. The popularity and possible advantages of the Flipped Classroom model in English courses are also greatly influenced by the opinions of English teachers.

Abstract

All universities in Indonesia are given the option to study at home with an online learning system, including UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Students' voices is a perspective from student towards something to know the success of it. This study aims to know students' voices on Online Learning during COVID-19 in some positive or negative ways. The research method used in this research is quantitative, with an online survey and purposive sampling. According to the results, 66 per cent of the total statements show that students positively perceive online learning acceptance. Students feel safer and more at ease, and they spend less money. However, some study aspects are lacking, such as unease in following the study, being active in class, and being enthusiastic about the study. Despite this, most students maintained positive relationships with other students, ate and slept well, and remained healthy throughout the pandemic. This recent study recommended that future research data sources be expanded to ensure more reliable research results.

Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat, pemanfaatan teknologi digital menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan kesejahteraan Masyarakat. Artikel ini membahas pelaksanaan sosialisasi digital marketing dan etika bisnis di desa Way Muli dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat desa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk pengembangan usaha kecil mikro menengah (UMKM), namun di dalamnya masih memiliki etika bisnis dalam operasional sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam sosialisasi ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi, Dimana pemateri atau narasumber menyampaikan materi terlebih dahulu lalu dibuka sesi diskusi tanya jawab mengenai materi sosialisasi tersebut. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat dalam menggunakan platform digital sebagai sarana promosi dan penjualan produk serta memahami lebih dalam mengenai pentingnya integritas dan transparansi dalam praktik bisnis. Dengan demikian diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi masyarakat.

Abstract

Proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat generasi muda di MA Al-Khairiyah Way Muli dengan mengatasi dampak negatif dari bullying, penyalahgunaan narkoba, dan perilaku seksual bebas. Inisiatif ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kekhawatiran yang meningkat mengenai masalah-masalah tersebut di kalangan remaja di wilayah ini. Kami menerapkan pendekatan interaktif untuk menyampaikan sesi pendidikan dan lokakarya yang berfokus pada peningkatan kesadaran, pemberian dukungan, dan penciptaan lingkungan positif bagi para siswa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, diskusi kelompok, dan kegiatan bermain peran untuk melibatkan siswa secara aktif dan membuat informasi lebih relevan. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa tentang konsekuensi perilaku berbahaya ini serta kesiapan mereka untuk mengadopsi gaya hidup yang lebih sehat. Umpan balik dari peserta menyoroti perbaikan sikap dan rasa tanggung jawab yang lebih besar terhadap kesejahteraan pribadi dan teman sebaya. Kesimpulannya, proyek ini berhasil mencapai tujuannya dengan membekali siswa dengan pengetahuan dan alat yang diperlukan untuk menghadapi tantangan ini secara efektif. Keberhasilan inisiatif ini menunjukkan pentingnya intervensi pendidikan proaktif dalam mengatasi masalah sosial kritis di kalangan remaja.

Abstract

This study explores the use of deixis—a pragmatic linguistic concept of context-dependent expressions—in Taylor Swift's song "Cardigan." Utilizing a descriptive qualitative research design, the analysis categorizes deictic expressions in the lyrics into five types: personal, spatial, temporal, social, and discourse deixis. Personal deixis, represented by pronouns like "I," "you," and "we," establishes a sense of intimacy and emotional engagement by drawing listeners into the narrative. Spatial deixis, such as "back when you could touch me," evokes vivid imagery that enhances the song's nostalgic and intimate feel. Temporal deixis anchors the narrative in time, emphasizing themes of growth, reflection, and the lasting impact of past experiences, as seen in phrases like "when you are young." Social deixis reflects the complexities of relational dynamics, while discourse deixis helps maintain narrative cohesion by connecting different parts of the song. The findings highlight deixis as a powerful tool in songwriting, enabling artists to create emotionally compelling and relatable lyrics. This research underscores the importance of deixis in enhancing lyrical storytelling and emotional impact in music, offering insights for songwriters and language educators. However, the study's focus on a single song limits its generalizability across genres and languages. Future research should explore a wider range of songs and cultural contexts to gain a more comprehensive understanding of deixis in music. Comparative studies across languages and genres could further illuminate the universality and variability of this linguistic phenomenon in artistic expressions.

Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has gained attention for its potential to enhance student learning, yet limited research has focused on AI-powered tools for providing comprehensive feedback on writing. Most existing studies have concentrated on grammar correction, leaving a gap in understanding how AI can support broader writing development. This study aimed to examine the effect of Google Gemini, an AI-powered chatbot, on writing proficiency in a higher education setting, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, coherence, and task achievement. A quasi-experimental design was used with two groups of 40 students from the Sharia Faculty at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The experimental group used Google Gemini for writing feedback, while the control group received traditional instruction. Both groups completed pre- and post-test writing tasks, assessed using a standardized rubric. Data were analyzed with paired-sample t-tests to compare improvements between groups. The results showed that the experimental group made significantly greater gains in writing proficiency than the control group, especially in grammar, vocabulary, and coherence. Students in the experimental group also reported higher satisfaction with the immediate, personalized feedback from the AI chatbot. The control group showed modest improvements with traditional feedback, but these were less pronounced. This study suggests that AI tools like Google Gemini can effectively improve writing skills by offering real-time, personalized feedback. It highlights the potential for AI to complement traditional teaching methods, though future research with larger and more diverse samples is needed to explore its impact on higher-order writing skills and across various educational contexts

Abstract

The rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping education by providing innovative tools for enhancing learning experiences. In language education, AI-powered platforms, such as Generative AI, offer dynamic, real-time interactions that improve user engagement and learning outcomes. Despite the growing interest, limited research exists on integrating AI with gamification in language learning apps. This study aims to fill this gap by examining the impact of Generative AI and gamification on English language acquisition. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection approaches. The research utilized pre- and post-surveys, standardized quizzes, and semi-structured interviews to assess user engagement, motivation, and language learning improvements. A sample of 100-150 participants from UIN Raden Intan Lampung's Faculty of Syari'ah was selected to evaluate the AI-enhanced gamified system. The findings revealed a significant increase in user engagement, with a 35% improvement in session duration and a 28% rise in weekly usage frequency. Learning outcomes showed improvements in vocabulary acquisition, grammatical accuracy, and speaking fluency. The AI’s personalized feedback mechanism was highly rated, although some challenges with speech recognition and consistency in AI responses were identified. These results highlight the potential of combining Generative AI with gamification to enhance language learning experiences. The study implies that further refinement of AI features and regular content updates are necessary to sustain user engagement and optimize long-term learning outcomes.

Abstract

The integration of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in English writing assessment has gained considerable attention for its potential to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of evaluations. However, while AI tools like Grammarly and GPT-based platforms have been employed for basic writing assessments, their effectiveness in evaluating more complex writing aspects remains underexplored. This study aims to fill this gap by examining the role of generative AI in automating English writing assessment, focusing on its benefits, challenges, and implications for both students and educators. The research design is a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data through surveys and semi-structured interviews. The study involved 100 students and 10 educators from the Faculty of Sharia at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, who had experience using AI-based writing tools. Data was collected through structured surveys and in-depth interviews, as well as by comparing AI-generated writing assessments with human grading. The findings revealed that while AI tools are highly effective in evaluating grammar and structure, they struggle to assess higher-order writing skills, such as content coherence and critical thinking. Both students and educators acknowledged the time-saving benefits of AI tools, but also highlighted the limitations of AI in understanding nuanced writing aspects. The study implies that AI tools can complement traditional assessment methods but should not fully replace human judgment, especially in complex writing tasks. Future research should focus on enhancing AI algorithms to better assess the depth of writing and address ethical concerns regarding data privacy and biases in AI models.
