Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pedagogical content knowledge mahasiswa calon guru pada program studi pendidikan matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Abulyatama Aceh. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain triangulasi, dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data dari beberapa sumber dan metode yang berbeda, membandingkan hasilnya dan menggunakan hasil temuan untuk melihat apakah saling memvalidasi satu sama lainnya. Data tentang pedagogical content knowledge mahasiswa calon guru kemudian dipaparkan apa adanya sehingga jenis penelitian ini dikategorikan dengan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dengan desain triangulasi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 (tiga) orang mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Abulyatama yang telah menyelesaikan matakuliah micro teaching atau sedang praktek pengalaman lapangan. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar tugas berbasis masalah, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan analisi data yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman (1992), yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Berdasarkan penelitian diketahui bahwa content knowledge mahasiswa calon guru program studi pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Abulyatama berada pada kategori rendah sampai sedang dengan skor 1 sampai dengan 2. Sementara itu, pedagogical knowledge mahasiswa calon guru program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Abulyatama berada pada kategori rendah sampai sedang dengan skor 1 sampai dengan 2. This study aimed to determine pedagogical content knowledge of prospective students in mathematics education program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University Abulyatama Aceh. To achieve this objective, this study used a qualitative approach with triangulation design, in which the researchers collected data from several different sources and methods, compared the results and used the findings to see if mutually validate each other. Data about pedagogical content knowledge of prospective teacher students were then presented as it is so that this type of research was categorized by descriptive-qualitative research with triangulation design. The subjects in this study were 3 (three) students of mathematics education program of FKIP University Abulyatama who had completed micro teaching courses or were practicing field experience. The instruments of this research were problem-based task sheets, interview guides, and observation sheets. Data analysis used in this study based on data analysis developed by Miles and Huberman (1992), namely data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions / verification. Based on the research, it is known that the content knowledge of the prospective teachers of the study program of Mathematics Education of FKIP Universitas Abulyatama was in the low to moderate category with the score of 1 to 2. Meanwhile, pedagogical knowledge of the candidate of the teacher of the mathematics education program of FKIP Universitas Abulyatama was in low to moderate category with a score of 1 to 2.

Abstract

Understanding is the ultimate goal to be achieved from each strategy applied learning in the learning process. However, teachers generally do not know the specific tool that can measure the understanding and misconceptions. Novak refers to the theories Ausubel said that these problems can be solved with a concept map. According to Novak, Concept Map can be applied with the purpose of (1) investigate what is already known by students, (2) learn how to learn, (3) reveal misconceptions, and (4) an evaluation tool. Algebra is one of the materials that are important in mathematics. The mistake in understanding the concept of algebra will impact on the erroneous understanding of other materials, because algebra is one of the foundations of mathematics. Therefore, understanding the concepts and misconceptions that occur in algebra important to know. This study aimed to describe understanding of algebra concepts, find misconceptions as well as evaluating the lecturing process that has been going on mathematics education of Abulyatama University. To achieve these objectives, the researchers used a method-descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach. Subjects were pre-service teacher in mathematics education, The Faculty of Education, Abulyatama University. Researchers became the main instrument, while supporting instruments namely; concept mapping assignment sheet (LTPK), the questionnaire, questionnaire responses and the recorder. Data validity checking carried out by the same method on different sources, called triangulation method. Data analysis was performed with the stage offered by Miles and Huberman, namely; (1) data reduction, (2) presentation of data, and (3) conclusion. The results showed that the understanding of algebra concept of pre-service teacher using a concept map on Mathematics Education is at the level of misconceptions portion (MSG). The misconception algebra of pre-service teacher in mathematics education using concept maps happen to identify a secondary idea, in determining the type of map concepts and reasons for selecting it, and in clarifying the relationship with the main idea of secondary ideas. The response of pre-service teacher to the lecture algebra is positive (3.27).

Abstract

One of the learning model that help to develop students’ thinking ability to be more critical and creative in dealing with problems and to improve the students’ understanding of Mathematicalconcept is cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization).This study aimed to discover the effect of using cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) related to trapezoid material.The instruments used in this study were teacher and students observation sheet, questionnaire, interview, Lesson Plan, Students’ Worksheet, Pre-test and Post-test.Futhermore, the result of students achivement data  were analyzed using Minimum Mastery Criterion (MMC), whereas data of teachers competence, students activity, students respond, and students learning outcomes were analyzed using descriptive analysis in terms of rate percentage.Based on the data analysis, the result of the study showed that cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) is an effective strategy. The result informed that the teacher’s ability to organize cooperative learning type TAI is effective (indicated by score 4.00), the student’s activity during teaching and learning process based on cooperative learning type TAIn is effective, the exhaustiveness of the students in classical manner is effective (indicated by 83,33 % of the students fulfil the Minimum Mastery Criterion) and more than 80% of the students gave vastly positive response in relation to TAI implementation. It can be inferred that the cooperative learning type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) is an effective strategy in teaching trapezoid material.

Abstract

Teacher’s understanding of the use of information and communication technology needs to be considering the current era globalization where education in technologycal development. The results of this study indicate that the teacher’s understanding of the types of ICT is good, this was obtained 87,5% of teacher’s expressed understanding. Teacher’s understanding of the fuctions of various types of ICT already understood this was pbtaind 62,5% of teacher’s expressed understanding. The teacher’s understanding of how to use ICT is classified as good, it was obtained 62,5% of teacher’s expressed understanding. Teacher understanding of the  way to deliver material using ICT is classified as good it is obtained 50% of teacher expressed understanding. Teacher’s undestanding of the steps of using ICT is sufficient, this was obtained by 50% of teacher’s saying they understood enough. The teacher’s understanding of the positive impact of using ICT is already good, it was obtained 62,5% of teachers expressed undestanding. Teacher’s understanding of the negative impact of using ICT is good, it was obtained 62,5% of teachers expressed understanding. Teacher’s understanding of the advantages of using ICT is classified as good, this was obtained 87,5% of teacher’s expressed very understanding. Teacher’s understanding of the weaknesses of using ICT is classified as good, of teachers expresed understanding. While the teacher’s understanding of the procedures for delivering material using ICTs has not been classified as good..

Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan, yang harus diperhatikan terhadap siswa adalah karakter dan perbedaan individual. Siswa diarahkan untuk dapat mengembangkan potensi kemandiriannya tanpa ada tekanan, paksaan, ataupun kekerasan dari guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemandirian siswa dan respon siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam dengan penerapan teori belajar humanistik pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan kuadrat. Subjek penelitiannya adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan lembar observasi. Data diolah dengan menggunakan analisis persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, tingkat kemandirian siswa dengan menerapkan teori belajar humanistik dalam proses pembelajaran matematika pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan kuadrat berada pada kategori mandiri, pada lima indikator kemandirian siswa yaitu ketidaktergantungan terhadap orang lain 73,9%, disiplin 86,95%, tanggungjawab 73,9%, inisiatif 86,95%, dan kontrol diri 78,25%. Sedangkan indikator percaya diri 65,2% berada pada kategori cukup mandiri, respon siswa terhadap penerapan teori belajar humanistik dalam proses pembelajaran adalah positif dengan persentase 72%. Kata kunci: teori belajar humanistik, kemandirian siswa In the education field, things must be considered against students are the character and individual differences. Students are directed to develop their self-reliance potential without any pressure, coercion, or violence from teachers. This study aims to determine the independence of students and the response of students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam with the application of humanistic learning theory on the topic of the equation and quadratic inequality. Research subjects are all students of grade X SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam. Data collection method used are questionnaires and observation sheets. The data is processed by using percentage analysis. The results showed that the level of student independence by applying the theory of humanistic learning in the process of learning mathematics on the topic of equation and quadratic inequality is in the independent category, the five indicators of independence of students: the dependence of others 73.9%, discipline 86.95%, responsibility 73.9%, 86.95% initiative, and self-control 78.25%. While self-confident indicator 65.2% are in the self-sufficient category, student's response to application of humanistic learning theory in the learning process is positive with the percentage of 72%. Abstract

Pulo merupakan salah satu daerah yang mempunyai hasil laut yang melimpah seperti ikan dan lainnya yang merupakan aset bagi masyarakat di Gampong Gugop Pulo Aceh, akan tetapi selama ini hasil alam tersebut hanya sebagai tempat mata pencaharian satu bidang saja, dengan menjual hasil dari laut kepada agen untuk di distribusikan dengan mentah tanpa pengolahan apapun. Sehingga di sini tergerak bagi Tim Pengabdian ingin melakukan pelatihan kepada ibu rumah tangga tentang pengolahan ikan mentah menjadi berbagai variasi yang dapat menghasilkan pendapatan baru bagi masyarakat, dengan tujuan akan mengembangkan potensi bagi ibu rumah tangga dalam pengolahan, pengemasan serta menambah daya jual beli yang lebih. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi langsung tentang pengolahan ikan menjadi produk eungkoet keumamah dengan memberikan sosialisasi kepada ibu rumah tangga sebagai mitra dalam pengabdian ini. Hasil dari pengabdian ini antara lain: (1) adanya pengetahuan baru bagi ibu rumah tangga dalam pengolahan ikan mentah menjadi produk eungkoet keumamah, (2) adanya motivasi dalam mengembangkan bakat serta potensi yang dimiliki sehingga menambah wawasan dalam berwirausaha bagi masyarakat,(3)kemampuan dalam mengatur keuangan serta pengetahuan baru tentang pemasaran produk melalui media online serta offline.

Abstract

Mathematical communication is a very important aspect that students must have if they want to succeed in their studies, so that mathematical communication really needs to be developed among students. In mathematical communication students can express ideas by communicating their mathematical knowledge both orally and in writing in the form of algebraic explanations, pictures, digrams or other mathematical models. This research aims to describe the level of students' abilities in mathematical communication. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The results of the study revealed that overall the number of students who had written mathematical communication skills in the very good category reached 23.4%, the good category reached 19.1%, the fairly good category reached 25.5%, the less good category reached 21.3%, the bad category reaches 10.6%, and the average value of mathematical communication skills is in the pretty good category.

Abstract

Blang miro village is one of the villages in Aceh Besar which is located in the mountains, where the residents are farmers and gardeners. From the results of surveys and interviews with residents, it was found that there are still many children in elementary schools in the village who are less interested in learning mathematics, because they are considered the subject to be difficult and less interesting. So that the value for math lessons decreased. So the purpose of this service is to teach mathematics by using simple teaching aids for elementary school children, so that interest in learning mathematics arises. One of them is to use origami paper on fractional material and build a flat or wake up space. The method used is contextual learning, simulation and testing of teaching aids. The results of this service are 1) participants can make simple teaching aids 2) participants can use teaching aids in learning mathematics, especially fractions and flat shapes or shapes 3) participants enjoy using teaching aids and increase student interest in learning mathematics.Keywords: mathematics, origami paper
