Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui korelasi antara kemampuan metakognitif dan motivasi mahasiswa pada mata kuliah morfologi tumbuhan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran direct instruction. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Mei sampai dengan bulan Juli 2019 pada program studi pendidikan Biologi di Universitas Abulyatama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi, hal ini dikarenakan seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 12 orang mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah morfologi tumbuhan. Data yang didapatkan akan dianalisis dengan rumus korelasi dan kemudian akan dideskripsikan secara jelas hasil yang didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan r hitung (0,641) > r tabel (0,552), hal ini membuktikan secara statistik bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara kemampuan metakognitif dan motivasi mahasiswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran direct intruction. Hal ini menginterpretasikan mahasiswa yang sudah memiliki kemampuan metakognitif yang baik dalam memecahkan masalah baik secara akademis maupun secara kehidupan sehari-hari akan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Semut Leptothorax acervorum memiliki karakteristik kehidupan sosial, diantaranya pembagian peran, keharmonisan, dan kompetisi betina-betina dalam perebutan hak reproduksi di koloninya. Kompetisi yang mematikan ini terjadi baik sesama gyne maupun gyne dengan pekerja. Berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi pada koloni semut Leptothorax acervorum akan dibangun model matematika. Model ini dibentuk dengan membagi populasi semut menjadi tiga kompartemen, yaitu gyne, pekerja, dan jantan pada populasi Leptothorax acervorum. Fenomena yang menarik seperti kompetisi-kompetisi yang terjadi pada semut Leptothorax acervorum dianalisis dan kestabilan koeksistensi juga akan ditunjukkan secara analitik. Selanjutnya, untuk melihat pengaruh kompetisi terhadap koeksistensi dalam koloni akan ditunjukkan dengan simulasi numerik.

Abstract

Covid 19 has had a huge impact on the world of education. With the emergence of covid 19, the world of education was forced to turn around significantly, the learning process which is usually done face-to-face must be replaced with online learning. The introduction of online learning suddenly has a very long and large effect on the teaching and learning process. Many teachers are not familiar with the online learning process. This research activity was carried out from April 2021 to October 2021. The objects in this study were teachers who teach in high school and junior high schools in the Aceh Besar area. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive research approach where the data will be taken using a questionnaire, the sample in this study amounted to 50 teachers. The results showed that the average problem experienced by the teacher was in the "High" category in the aspect of the learning process, which was 84.5%. This is in accordance with the results of the interviews conducted. The teacher admits that it is very difficult to carry out the learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic. The most difficult situation is to equalize the perception of students' abilities

Abstract

One of the learning model that help to develop students’ thinking ability to be more critical and creative in dealing with problems and to improve the students’ understanding of Mathematicalconcept is cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization).This study aimed to discover the effect of using cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) related to trapezoid material.The instruments used in this study were teacher and students observation sheet, questionnaire, interview, Lesson Plan, Students’ Worksheet, Pre-test and Post-test.Futhermore, the result of students achivement data  were analyzed using Minimum Mastery Criterion (MMC), whereas data of teachers competence, students activity, students respond, and students learning outcomes were analyzed using descriptive analysis in terms of rate percentage.Based on the data analysis, the result of the study showed that cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) is an effective strategy. The result informed that the teacher’s ability to organize cooperative learning type TAI is effective (indicated by score 4.00), the student’s activity during teaching and learning process based on cooperative learning type TAIn is effective, the exhaustiveness of the students in classical manner is effective (indicated by 83,33 % of the students fulfil the Minimum Mastery Criterion) and more than 80% of the students gave vastly positive response in relation to TAI implementation. It can be inferred that the cooperative learning type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) is an effective strategy in teaching trapezoid material.

Abstract

The background of this study is the students’ difficulties in resolving the problems in trigonometry material. Trigonometry material requires creativity of students so that students are required to build knowledge and learning strategies. Metacognitive approach is one approach that focuses on how the teaching in learning mathematics or the students who are invited to learn and learn to think. The subjects were the students of class X-6 SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh. the total sample is 30 students. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The type of this research is one shot case study design (pre-experimental method). The used instrument for data collection is a test of student learning outcomes, teachers' observation sheet for the ability in managing learning and student activities, and student questionnaire responses. The obtained data were processed using percentages, the ideal time criteria, and the description of the average score in order to get information about students’ activities, students’ responses, the ability of teachers in managing the learning and mastery learning. The effectiveness of this learning can be based on (1) Mastery learning, (2) the ability of teachers in managing learning, (3) Activities of students, (4) The response of students. Learning trigonometry with metacognitive approach would be considered effective if at least three of the four aspects are met with the requisite thoroughness aspects of learning outcomes are met (effective). The results showed that metacognitive approach is effective in trigonometry material in class X-6 SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh. It is because, (1) the results of student learning is complete, (2) students’ activities are active, and (3) students' response toward learning are positive, and (4) the ability of teachers in managing learning are in good or excellent criteria.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is the ability to parse or develop teaching material, make conclusions, build representations, analyze and relate the information obtained. For example, students understand what they are reading, they will make conclusions and use information obtained in the text they are reading. The 2013 curriculum must integrate HOTS ability in the learning process, namely the ability to think in creating ideas, analyzing, and evaluating. This study aims to determine and analyze the ability of HOTS students in SMP IT Nurul Islah Banda Aceh to solve comparison problems. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive using test and questionnaire instruments. Tests and questionnaires prepared based on HOTS indicators aim to analyze students' HOTS abilities. Then the results of tests, questionnaires, and interviews are combined to be analyzed to get conclusions. Based on research that has been done, it can be concluded that the ability of students to solve mathematical problems HOTS type in the comparison material is a good category, 19 students (57.57%) of 33 students. That is, some students have been able to do the thought process of creating, analyzing, and evaluating in solving problems.

Abstract

Teacher’s understanding of the use of information and communication technology needs to be considering the current era globalization where education in technologycal development. The results of this study indicate that the teacher’s understanding of the types of ICT is good, this was obtained 87,5% of teacher’s expressed understanding. Teacher’s understanding of the fuctions of various types of ICT already understood this was pbtaind 62,5% of teacher’s expressed understanding. The teacher’s understanding of how to use ICT is classified as good, it was obtained 62,5% of teacher’s expressed understanding. Teacher understanding of the  way to deliver material using ICT is classified as good it is obtained 50% of teacher expressed understanding. Teacher’s undestanding of the steps of using ICT is sufficient, this was obtained by 50% of teacher’s saying they understood enough. The teacher’s understanding of the positive impact of using ICT is already good, it was obtained 62,5% of teachers expressed undestanding. Teacher’s understanding of the negative impact of using ICT is good, it was obtained 62,5% of teachers expressed understanding. Teacher’s understanding of the advantages of using ICT is classified as good, this was obtained 87,5% of teacher’s expressed very understanding. Teacher’s understanding of the weaknesses of using ICT is classified as good, of teachers expresed understanding. While the teacher’s understanding of the procedures for delivering material using ICTs has not been classified as good..

Abstract

Both the bad character or character of a person is an assessment given by the community to the actions carried out by humans. The parameters of good or bad human deeds are measured based on religious norms, or customs norms of the community itself. Islam determines, that to measure the merits of a human deed is based on religious sharia which is sourced from the revelation of Allah SWT, namely al- Qur'an and hadith of the Prophet. Therefore, anyone who longs for salvation and luck in his life, there is no other way for him except by purifying oneself from the ungodliness and ugliness of his deeds. This study aims to determine aspects of the formation of commendable and despicable morals in the view of Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah. This research method is (library research) using this analysis method (content analysis) whose main source is the work of Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah, as for other sources of articles, journals, and other books related to the research topic. Then the results of the study found that the moral aspects according to Ibn Qayyim are divided into several things, he divides the virtues of good morals, among others: Al-Shabru (Patience), Al-Iffah (self-respect), Al-Syaja'ah (courage), and Al -'Adl (fair). And dividing low ethics into four parts. First, al-jahl (ignorance), Second, ad-dhalm (despotism), Third, al-syahwah (lust), Fourth, al-ghadb (anger). And Ibn Qayyim also pointed out the aspects of laudable and despicable, praiseworthy divided into; Having Knowledge and Faith, a clean heart, prioritizing truth and goodness, and making Allah the only One. The aspect of establishing moral disgrace, that is, many people who do not benefit, immersed in dreams, a lot of eating and sleeping, and depending on other than God, then of all aspects will certainly grow and form a good character (mahmudhah) and will also form morals. despicable (mazmumah) in human beings themselves.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) merupakan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang meliputi proses berpikir kritis, kreatif, logis, reflektif, dan metakognitif. Berdasarkan tujuan kurikulum 2013, soal-soal matematika harus mengintegrasikan HOTS. Soal kategori Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) adalah berbasis permasalahan kontekstual yang menuntut siswa berpikir kreatif dan kritis dalam mengkreasi ide atau gagasan, memecahkan masalah, mengambil keputusan, mengevaluasi, dan menganalisis dengan cara yang bermakna. Adapun indikator untuk mengukur kemampuan HOTS adalah siswa dapat menggunakan keterampilan berpikir analisis, evaluatif, kreatif, kritis, dan berpikir logis untuk memecahkan masalah Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengalisis kesalahan dan penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika tipe HOTS. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan wawancara yang disusun berdasarkan indikator HOTS. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa melakukan kesalahan-kesalahan yang beranekaragam dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika tipe HOTS, meliputi kesalahan dalam memahami perintah soal, kesalahan dalam mengaitkan menghubungkan suatu fakta dari satu konsep ke konsep lain, kesalahan dalam menulis, mengkonstruksi, mengkreasi ide, konsep, rumus, atau cara menyelesaikan masalah, dan tidak (kesalahan) menarik kesimpulan. Penyebab kesalahan tersebut diantaranya adalah sebagian siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tingginya.

Abstract

Parents plays an important role in their children’s learning and development, furthermore parentsare children’s first educators, children are watching their parents and learning happens in everyday moment parents share with their children. A phenomenon that covid-19 pandemic has a major impact toward the education sector, the government has implemented a learning policy, namely learning from home. This study aims to find out what obstacles are experienced by parents while accompanying children to learn at home during covid 19 pandemic. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research method with case study approach.  The sample are nine parents whose children attended elementary school. The result of this study indicates that in general the obstacles of parent in assisting children learning from home are: First, inability to teach and explain the material properly by parents. Second, the difficulty of parent to create children enthusiastic to participate in online learning. Third, Lack of time to accompany children because they have to work and parents are impatient in accompanying children when studying at home. Fourth, parent not accustomed to using technology such as difficulties in operating gadget and computer.This research is expected to be able to explore the obstacles of parent in assisting children when learning at home so that this research is able to contribute to further researcher in exploring the solutions to these problems.
