Abstract

The number of people living with HIV / AIDS in Indonesia is increasing from time to time. Based on the Department of Health report, up to December 2011 there were 27,947 HIV/AIDS sufferers in Indonesia. 1,069 (3.83%) of them were aged 15-19, while 13,053 (46.71 %) were aged 20-29. The age group of 30-39 was 8,832 people (31.60%), age group of 40-49 was 2,840 people (10.16%), age group of50-59 was 83 people (0.30%) and over the age of 60 were 233 people (0.83%) The most sufferers are adolescents and adults. This study aims to examine and link learning culture-based human reproductive system in order to improve understanding of reproduction and prevent reproductive disease. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the application of learning culture-based human reproductive system affects the understanding of reproduction. This research is designed with Quasi Experiment method with One Group Pretest-Postest Design The study was conducted at MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar class XI IPA 1 involving 23 students and five observers and a biology teacher. The results of this study obtained a description of the reproduction system based on culture that affects the improvement of students. It was concluded that the application of learning of human culture based reproduction system has been able to increase students understanding on reproduction. Students can build knowledge through active involvement in the learning process and their understanding of the concept of the human reproductive system is increasing (N-gain = 71%).

Abstract

The independence policy is a hot topic in the world of education. The premise that learning exists is carried out in the preparation of university graduates, both public and private, to meet the modern-day and rapid change challenges. Independent learning is a notion that aspires to excel from graduates as future leaders with an increasing number of personalities. Independent programs provide students with independence and flexibility to develop their potential through their hobbies and talents. This study will first examine the format of the eight Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs (MBKM) featured in the Merdeka Independent Campus Free Book released by the Ministry of Education and Culture's Directorate General Higher Education (Published in 2020). Second, a variant of MBKM that was adopted in the Odd and Even semesters of the 2020/2021 Academic Year at a university in Aceh's Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The findings indicated that there were eight Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs, including the following: 1) student exchange, 2) internship/work experience, 3) teaching in educational institutions, 4) village projects, 5) research, 6) entrepreneurial activities, 7) independent studies, and 8) humanitarian projects. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education has run a student exchange program with another university, a teaching assistant program in educational institutions, and a program to build villages/thematic lectures for students and lecturers who passed the selection process for a grant program called "Kampus Mengajar."

Abstract

The purpose of this research is that students' curiosity can be increased by using guided inquiry models assisted by ICT. In learning science, one of the things that must be improved is curiosity. Curiosity is a person's desire for information and knowledge, as well as the sensation of new experiences to be able to motivate behavior in finding out the true truth. The curiosity measured in this study, such as the desire of students to explore for new information, the desire to find a new concept or theory by applying the knowledge they have, and someone's desire to find out if there is a conflict between what is believe inversely proportional with what is reality. This study used a one group pretest posttest design and used a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 63 fifth semester students of biology education at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka Jakarta, Indonesia. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis using descriptive quantitative. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the ICT-assisted guided inquiry model is more effective in increasing student curiosity. The application of technology-based inquiry is important in improving student Curiosity to make science learning more meaningful, effective, and efficient.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the process of mee bu tujoh bulen as one of the cultures of the Acehnese community that seeks to meet the nutritional needs of pregnant and prevents stunting mothers. Qualitative research with a phenomenological approach is used to study the cultural phenomena of mee bu tujoh bulen from the views and experiences of the people. Respondents in this study were pregnant women, traditional birth attendants, traditional leaders and community leaders. Data processing is done by using data reduction analysis, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification techniques that are presented in narrative form. The results showed that the ingredients presented in mee bu culture consisted of bu kulah (rice wrapped using young banana leaves which had been steamed and then rice wrapped in pyramid shape), side dishes consisting of grilled fish, beef, roasted chicken, cooked duck curries, eggs, and various types of fruit. In addition to those ingredients, the in-laws also prepared a set of betel (completed with ingredients such as areca nut, gambier, lime, cloves and tobacco or called bakong in local language). To sum up, the food brought to mee Bu Tujoh Bulen in cultural ceremony by parents-in-law to pregnant daughter-in-law contains good nutrients to support the fulfillment of nutrition for pregnant women therefore it can prevent and reduce the prevalence of stunting children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pembelajaran sistem reproduksi manusia dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan sikap siswa. Penelitian ini didesain dengan metode Quasi Experiment dengan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar kelas XI IPA 1 yang melibatkan 23 siswa dan lima observer serta satu guru biologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa modul untuk pembelajaran sistem reproduksi manusia dengan pendekatan CTL terdiri dari tujuan pembelajaran, pokok bahasan, contoh kasus, uraian materi dan evaluasi yang dilengkapi dengan LKS/pedoman untuk aktivitas konstruktivisme, inkuiri, masyarakat belajar, bertanya, pemodelan, refleksi dan penilaian sebenarnya. Berdasarkan tanggapan dari peserta didik dan guru dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran sistem reproduksi manusia dengan pendekatan CTL telah mampu mengaitkan materi yang diajarkan dengan situasi kehidupan nyata siswa. Siswa dapat membangun pengetahuan melalui keterlibatan aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar dan pemahaman mereka tentang konsep sistem reproduksi manusia meningkat (N-gain = 71%) dan dapat meningkatkan sikap terhadap sistem reproduksi (N-gain = 50%). Kata Kunci: Sistem Reproduksi Manusia, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Pemahaman Konsep dan Sikap Siswa. This study was conducted to apply Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to human reproductive system to improve students' understanding of concepts and attitudes. This study was designed with Quasi Experimental methods by One Group Pretest-posttest design. It was conducted in MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar class XI IPA 1 involving 23 students and five observer as well as a biology teacher. The results of this study found that the design of modules for teaching human reproduction system with CTL approach consists of learning objectives, subject matter, case examples, description and evaluation materials. Learning CTL have 7 activities which must be applied in teaching learning process namely constructivism, inquiry, learning society, questioning, modelling, reflection and authentic assessment. Based on the feedbacks got from students and teachers, it can be concluded that the application of CTL approach to the concept of the human reproductive system have been able to relate the material taught to students' real life situations. Students can construct knowledge through active involvement in the learning process. Their understanding of the concept of the human reproductive system was increases. Abstract

Setiap anak yang lahir ke dunia ini dibekali dengan akal yang sempurna. Namun dalam perjalanan hidup anak-anak mengalami beragam intervensi dari lingkungannya yang berpengaruh signifikan dalam proses perkembangannya. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan dari dalam rumah merupakan langkah awal yang dibutuhkan untuk membentuk karakter yang baik. Dalam tradisi masyarakat Aceh, kehidupan seorang anak pada masa-masa awal kelahirannya diwarnai oleh syair-syair yang dilantunkan oleh ibunya pada saat dalam ayunan. Syair-syair ini digunakan untuk memperhalus rasa dan budi pekerti mereka. Syair-syair itu biasanya berisi nasehat yang mendidik seperti syair lagu dodaidi. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menjelaskan makna syair dodaidi, memaparkan aspek pedagodis yang terkandung di dalamnya, dan menjelaskan nilai-nilai pendidikan menurut perspektif Ki Hadjar Dewantara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka menggunakan metode hermeneutika filosofis dengan tahapan-tahapan, pertama, mengumpulkan data dan literatur terkait seperti muatan syair-syair dodaidi dan butir-butir pemikiran Ki Hadjar Dewantara, kedua, menganalisis dan menstrukturkan hasil analisis secara sistematis berbasis pada metode deskriptif, interpretatif dan reflektif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa syair-syair dodaidi mengandung pesan-pesan penting yang berguna untuk membentuk karakter yang baik, dan diyakini memiliki pengaruh dalam proses pembentukan karakter anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pedagogical content knowledge mahasiswa calon guru pada program studi pendidikan matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Abulyatama Aceh. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain triangulasi, dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data dari beberapa sumber dan metode yang berbeda, membandingkan hasilnya dan menggunakan hasil temuan untuk melihat apakah saling memvalidasi satu sama lainnya. Data tentang pedagogical content knowledge mahasiswa calon guru kemudian dipaparkan apa adanya sehingga jenis penelitian ini dikategorikan dengan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dengan desain triangulasi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 (tiga) orang mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Abulyatama yang telah menyelesaikan matakuliah micro teaching atau sedang praktek pengalaman lapangan. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar tugas berbasis masalah, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan analisi data yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman (1992), yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Berdasarkan penelitian diketahui bahwa content knowledge mahasiswa calon guru program studi pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Abulyatama berada pada kategori rendah sampai sedang dengan skor 1 sampai dengan 2. Sementara itu, pedagogical knowledge mahasiswa calon guru program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Abulyatama berada pada kategori rendah sampai sedang dengan skor 1 sampai dengan 2. This study aimed to determine pedagogical content knowledge of prospective students in mathematics education program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University Abulyatama Aceh. To achieve this objective, this study used a qualitative approach with triangulation design, in which the researchers collected data from several different sources and methods, compared the results and used the findings to see if mutually validate each other. Data about pedagogical content knowledge of prospective teacher students were then presented as it is so that this type of research was categorized by descriptive-qualitative research with triangulation design. The subjects in this study were 3 (three) students of mathematics education program of FKIP University Abulyatama who had completed micro teaching courses or were practicing field experience. The instruments of this research were problem-based task sheets, interview guides, and observation sheets. Data analysis used in this study based on data analysis developed by Miles and Huberman (1992), namely data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions / verification. Based on the research, it is known that the content knowledge of the prospective teachers of the study program of Mathematics Education of FKIP Universitas Abulyatama was in the low to moderate category with the score of 1 to 2. Meanwhile, pedagogical knowledge of the candidate of the teacher of the mathematics education program of FKIP Universitas Abulyatama was in low to moderate category with a score of 1 to 2.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the various types of applications used in the online learning process in University during the emergency period to prevent the spread of Covid 19. This research uses a literature study of several articles that discuss online learning in university visiting various pages or articles from the World Wide Web. Presentation of the results is done narratively. The result of the study show there are 9 types of applications that are often used in the online learning process. The 9 types of applications that are often used include; (1) zoom, (2) google classroom, (3) Whatapp group, (4) google meet, (5) skype, (6) Webex, (7) email, (8) Edmodo dan (9) camstudio.

Abstract

The concept Merdeka Belajarhas become an issue that is widely discussed in the world of education, the concept that voices the existence of learning is carried out in preparing the preparation ofuniversity graduates, both public and private, so that they can face the times and changes that are so fast. This article will look at 1) the form of the policy of the Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan as stated in the 8 Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka  programsand their application to privateuniversitiesin Aceh; 2) Obstacles in the implementation of 8 Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs at private universities in Aceh.Data was collected through literature studies, news and writings in both online and offline media, as well as interviews with leaders of private universities in Aceh. Furthermore, thedata were analyzed and strengthened with various theoretical supports in the discussion. Through literature study, it was found that there were 8 Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs, including; 1) student exchange, 2) internship/work practice, 3) teaching in educational institutions, 4) villageprojects, 5) research, 6) entrepreneurial activities, 7) independent studies and 8) humanitarian projects. Private universities have implemented several programs including studentexchange programs between study programs within universities and student exchanges with study programs outside universities, as well as teaching programs in educational institutions and internships assisted by ministry funds.The challenges faced by private universities in implementing Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka; 1) the adaptation process of the KKNI curriculum with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, 2) the partner campuses are still limited, 3) thecollaboration of private universities in Aceh with outside parties, both companies, BUMN, BUMD and even the government is still very limited, 4) fund management by foundations that have not budgeted funds for Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, 5) quality andproductivity of human resources for lecturers and students.
