Abstract

This study examined the relationship between self-concept and students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This was conducted in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Kota Banda Aceh. The method in this research was survey method with correlation technique that is looking for the relationship between self-concept with students’ mathematical mass solving ability. The population of the study was all the students class VIII. The sample in this research was the students of class VIII-10 and VIII-11 which consisted to 54 students based on the results of considerations submitted principals and teachers of mathematics study at the school. The hypothesis in this research is “There is a relationship between self-concept and mathematical problem-solving abilities”. The instruments used are self-concept scales and students' mathematical problem-solving tests. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-concept with students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The contribution given by the self-concep variable to the mathematical problem solving ability is 24.6% and the rest is influenced by other factors or variables.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The form of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive research. This research was conducted on students VIII MTsN Kuta Baro Aceh Besar. The sample used is students VIII-1 and VIII-2 by using purporsive sampling techniques. The instrument used is a matter of form of test description that has been validated. The data analyzed is the students' answers to the questions given. The results of the study obtained that the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class VIII MTsN Kuta Baro who were already good as much as 49% or equal to 21 people, enough 46% or equivalent to 20 people and in the category of less than 5% or equivalent to 2 people. From these results, the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class VIII MTsN Kuta Baro still needs to be the attention of the teacher in order to improve the mathematical solving abilities of students of class VIII MTsN Kuta Baro.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of Biostatistics of Nursing Students Abulyatama University by applying group investigation learning model assisted by the SPPS. This research is an experimental research with a quasi-experimental approach or better known as a quasi-experiment. The subject of this research is the Nursing Students of Abulyatama University Academic Year 2017/2018. Whereas the sample in this study are the Nursing students who took Biostatistics in the Even Semester of Academic Year 2017/2018. The obtained results showed that the average learning outcomes of the Nursing students before getting treatment was still very low. While the average score of Biostatistics of the Nursing students are quite good after applying Group Investigation Learning model assisted by SPSS. As for improvement of Biostatistics’ learning outcome of the Nursing students with the application Group Investigation Leaning Model assisted by SPSS is very significant. The application of the Group Investigation Leaning Model assisted by SPPS received a good response from the students of Nursing of Abulyatama University.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there is a significant effect on improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities by using Group Investigation learning model. This was experimental research with quasi-experimental and the research design was one-pretest posttest design. The sample in this study was the students of class IX SMP Negeri 1 KutaBaro Aceh Besar. The data collection techniques were test and non test, observation and documentation. The used instruments were test, questionnaires and observation sheets. The analysis technique was quantitative and descriptive data. The result of this research are (1) the mean of the improvement of students’ mathematical problem solving abilities is 0.30, it is in the medium category, (2) the average of students' response to group investigation model is 3.75 with good criteria, and (3) the significant between study group investigation model and improvement of students' mathematical problem solving ability. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Group Investigation.Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan pendekantan kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest design.Sampel dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar.Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan non tes, observasi serta dokumentasi.Instrumen yang digunakan soal tes, angket dan lembar observasi.Teknik analisis yaitu data kuantitatif dan deskriptif.Hasil temuan dalam penelitian adalah (1) rerata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa adalah 0,30 berada pada kategori sedang, (2) rerata respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran group investigation adalah 3,75 dengan kriteria baik, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran group investigationdengan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the parents’ roles in developing children learning during Distance Learning (PJJ). The descriptive quantitative method was used in this research. The population of this study was all parents of students at two public elementary schools in Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar. The sample of this research was 137 parents. The sampling technique was random sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed via Google Forms. The data was analyzed by using percentages. The study results indicated that the parents’ roles were in the Good category. Most parents agreed that giving their time and providing can improve their children's learning during a pandemic and strengthen their relationships. Moreover, the recent education level and occupation of the parents also influenced the role of parents during distance learning.

Abstract

Brassica oleracea atau sayuran berasal dari Takengon mengandung banyak vitamin, karbohidrat, protein serta mineral. Umur simpan sayuran ini terbatas. Hal ini disebabkan karna kandungan kadar air yang tinggi mengakibatkan mudah rusak juga tidak tahan lama. B. oleracea sering diawetkan atau di fermentasi sebagai makanan sauerkraut di Negara Jerman. Namun di Indonesia belum banyak di produksi. Makanan ini memiliki sifat inderawi yang sangat khas menyerupai kimchi dari aroma dan cita rasanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi produk kubis asam dari B. oleracea atau kimchi asal Aceh dengan penambahan merica terhadap variasi konsentrasi persentase garam selama fermentasi. Pengujian sifat fisika-kimia dilakukan di Laboratorium. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analysis of variance (ANOVA) signifikan 5% dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor yang diuji adalah penambahan 1% merica pada konsentrasi garam K 2,25%, MG1 2,5%, MG2 7,5% dan MG3 12,5%. Hasil penelitian menyatakan perlakuan rekomendasi yaitu pada K 2,5% dan MG 2,25%. Rataan K 2,25% dengan sifat fisika-kimia susut bobot 20,75% dalam pH 3,56, TPT 7,75%, kandungan vitamin C 7,41 mg, kandungan kadar air 90,9%, serta asam laktat terkecil adalah 0,0096%. Namun rata-rata MG1 2,5% dengan sifat fisika-kimia susut bobot 20,05% dalam pH 3,69 TPT 7,55%, kandungan vitamin C 13,15 mg, kadar air 92,1%, serta asam laktat yang lebih kecil yaitu 0,0095%. Pemberian merica dalam konsentrasi garam yang berbeda terhadap kimchi asal Aceh berpengaruh nyata pada sifat fisika dan kimia. Berdasarkan hasil uji kesukaan dengan penambahan merica pada variasi garam terhadap panelis tidak terlatih diperoleh pada perlakuan K 2,25% dan MG1 2,5%.Kata kunci : Kimchi, B. oleracea, kubis, garam, sifat fisika-kimia.ABSTRACTBrassica oleracea or vegetables from Takengon were contain a lots of vitamins, carbohydrates, protein and minerals. This food has very distinctive sensory properties resembling kimchi in aroma and the taste. This study aims to identify vegetable cabbage products from B. oleracea or kimchi from Aceh with the addition of pepper at various percentages of salt concentration during fermentation. Furthermore, testing of physico-chemical properties was carried out in the laboratory. The research method used was analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a completely randomized design (CRD) with a significance of 5%. The factor tested was the addition of 1% pepper to a salt concentration of 2.25% K, 2.5% MG1, 7.5% MG2 and 12.5% MG3. The results of the study stated that the recommended treatment was 2.5% K and 2.25% MG. Average K 2.25% with physico-chemical properties weight loss 20.75% at pH 3.56, TPT 7.75%, vitamin C content 7.41 mg, water content 90.9%, and the smallest lactic acid 0.0096%. However, the average MG1 was 2.5% with physical and chemical properties, 20.05% weight loss at pH 3.69, TPT 7.55%, 13.15 mg vitamin C content, 92.1% moisture content, and lactic acid is smaller, namely 0.0095%. The adding the pepper with different salt concentrations to kimchi from Aceh had a significant effect on the physical and chemical properties. Based on the results of the preference test with the addition of pepper to the salt variation for untrained panelists, it was found in the K treatment of 2.25% and 2.5% MG1.Keyword : Kimchi, B. oleracea, cabbage, salt, physico chemist.

Abstract

Mathematical communication is a very important aspect that students must have if they want to succeed in their studies, so that mathematical communication really needs to be developed among students. In mathematical communication students can express ideas by communicating their mathematical knowledge both orally and in writing in the form of algebraic explanations, pictures, digrams or other mathematical models. This research aims to describe the level of students' abilities in mathematical communication. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The results of the study revealed that overall the number of students who had written mathematical communication skills in the very good category reached 23.4%, the good category reached 19.1%, the fairly good category reached 25.5%, the less good category reached 21.3%, the bad category reaches 10.6%, and the average value of mathematical communication skills is in the pretty good category.

Abstract

Eco-print merupakan salah satu produk tekstil yang ramah lingkungan. Eco-print merupakan Teknik yang menggunakan daun, bunga dan buah yang dapat mengeluarkan warna. Kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini memberikan sumbangsih berupa pelaksanaan kegiatan eco-print yang memanfaatkan potensi alam di lingkungan Gampong Baro. Sasaran PKM ini adalah anak-anak di lingkungan Gampong Baro, sehingga mereka dapat mengetahui bahaya bahan pewarna sintetis dan bahan pewarna alami serta menumbuhkan literasi lingkungan. Metode yang diterapkan pada kegiatan PKM ini yaitu dengan melatih langsung anak-anak Gampong Baro dalam melakukan kegiatan eco-print secara langsung. Kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak-anak Gampong Baro. Luaran PKM ini adalah menumbuhkan literasi lingkungan anak-anak. Eksplorasi eco-print Teknik pounding dengan memanfaatkan daun jati, daun jarak, daun papaya, daun singkong, daun jambu biji, dan daun mangga sebagai motif utama. Eksplorasi eco-print ini akan menghasilkan karya yang unik dan mempunyai nilai kebaharuan yang tinggi. Eco-print menggunakan prinsip ekologis untuk mengurangi dampak pencemaran lingkungan akibat industri tekstil. Selain itu teknik eco-print dapat melestarikan tumbuhan dan juga alam. Dengan mengenalkan dan juga mempraktikkan eco-print melalui pelatihan pembuatan eco-print yang diikuti oleh anak-anak akan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas, keterampilan serta menumbuhkan literasi lingkungan.

Abstract

A quality learning process is influenced by the learning model used. A learning process that only listens to the teacher's explanation, does assignments, and focuses on books causes learning activities to become passive and there is a lack of student interaction. This has an impact on student learning outcomes. One model that involves students in learning is the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) model. This research aims to determine the improvement in junior high school students' learning outcomes after implementing the SSCS learning model. This type of research is quantitative using Experimental Quasi. The subjects of this research were one experimental class, namely VIII-3, and one control class, VIII-4, SMP Negeri 3 Aceh Besar, each with 33 students. Data collection techniques use tests. The research results showed that the increase in learning outcomes for experimental class students was higher than that of the control class. The experimental class achieved 100% of the indicators of learning success/completion, namely ≥75% of students achieved a KKM ≥75 and there was an increase in student learning outcomes. The N-Gain test results show an increase in the moderate criteria, namely the experimental class is 0.69 and the control class is 0.49. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students taught using the SSCS learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of students taught using the conventional learning model.
