Abstract

Information communication technology nowadays is used in the economic era digital and tourism industry. Related to ecotourism is applying intelligent tourist villages, preserving natural resources, maintaining physical and mental health, and providing a positive response to the surrounding community. Not fully utilized by online media. Compete globally but able to take advantage of information technology. This research aims to see the village's concern and readiness to use information technology to realize smart tourism. The qualitative research method used interviews of all managers of Kedang Ipil Village. The results showed that the Kedang Village manager used social media to introduce and even sell the old Kutai traditions through Facebook, website and Instagram.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to express and find out the perceptions of members of the Samarinda movie mania community towards the LGBT element in the film "Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku". The research method used is descriptive qualitative using analytical techniques from Miles and Huberman which is intended to collect information about the status of a symptom, namely the state of symptoms according to what they are when the research is conducted. Data collection was done by conducting interviews and documentation. The resource persons in this study were 6 (six) people who were active members of the Samarinda movie mania community. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study concluded that the perceptions of members of the Samarinda Movie Mania community gave a positive response to this film itself. Because it raises a unique theme, which is still considered taboo by the public, especially in Indonesia. This film also introduces one of Indonesian culture, namely the Lengger Lanang Dance which is not widely known by the wider community.

Abstract

delivery of leader’s message to his followers requires a profer communication pattern so that the message submitted will be received well by his followers with good effects. the research method used is a qualitative description research method. the focus of the research of this thesis is on leadership patterns of leadership communication chairman of mulawarman university sketsa for 2017/2018 period in increasing members work motivation consist of formal and informal communication patterns in supported by harold lasswell theori. teh result of the research that the chairman of unmul sketsa conduct a formal pattern of communications by conducting general meetings or field necessary, making directions to members, and submitting the result of working better with supplied result. polite before meeting bearucrats, communicating with other organizations or agencies at the event while informal communication patterns are initially reraly used in the process of communication in this organization, especially in the informal communication pattern of the chairman of the sketsa, but the general chairman is aware of the communication process with more care, attention and empowering all members.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami penggunaan aplikasi TikTok sebagai fenomena media hiburan yang merajai berbagai kalangan masyarakat, khususnya generasi Z. Dengan mengadopsi teori difusi inovasi, penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan studi kasus dan wawancara, yang dipilih melalui teknik sampling purposive. Data diperoleh dari lima narasumber generasi Z yang aktif menggunakan TikTok selama lebih dari satu tahun, dengan durasi penggunaan rata-rata satu jam setiap harinya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi TikTok oleh generasi Z tidak terbatas hanya sebagai media hiburan, melainkan telah menjadi bagian integral dari gaya hidup mereka. Hasil penelitian menyoroti prevalensi penggunaan platform TikTok di kalangan generasi Z, mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar dari mereka cenderung menghabiskan lebih banyak waktu di TikTok dibandingkan dengan platform media online lainnya, seperti Instagram dan Twitter. Implikasi dari temuan ini mengindikasikan pergeseran signifikan dalam preferensi konsumsi media, dengan TikTok mendominasi pangsa perhatian dan interaksi di antara generasi Z. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga terkait perubahan perilaku penggunaan media online, khususnya pada kalangan generasi Z yang menghadirkan dampak signifikan dalam perkembangan tren media masa kini.

Abstract

The film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap presents a narrative that is closely related to patriarchal culture, especially in the context of Batak society. Where the role of women in Batak culture is often dominated by men, resulting in negative impacts that affect women's mental and psychological well-being in the family and social spheres. This study aims to analyze how patriarchal culture is represented in the film using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. The research method used is Roland Barthes' semiotics, with a focus on two-stage semiotic analysis: denotation and connotation that represent the construction of private or household patriarchal culture. The results of the study show that this film reproduces patriarchal values ​​through the construction of gender roles, power relations in the family, and social expectations of women and men. This representation is seen in the dialogue, gestures, and cultural symbols displayed. The conclusion of this study shows that Ngeri-Ngeri not only reflects the patriarchal culture that is still strong in society, but also maintains and normalizes the system through the narratives and symbols used. Although the film shows efforts to resist patriarchy, this film still strengthens male dominance in the family social structure. This study is expected to provide insight into how film as a popular media can be a reflection of the strengthening of the existing social system.

Abstract

The advancement of communication technology has created new challenges for traditional media, including radio. This study aims to analyze the implementation of media convergence by Gema Wana Prima (GWP) 98.6 FM, a local radio station in Sangatta, East Kalimantan, in adapting to the digital era. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results show that GWP has adopted several elements of Rich Gordon’s media convergence theory, particularly Tactical Convergence, structural Convergence, and storytelling convergence. The station actively utilizes social media and digital platforms, although ownership and Information gathering convergence have not been fully implemented due to limited resources. This study concludes that local media can independently adopt selective convergence strategies to maintain relevance amid media landscape changes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pemanfaatan media sosial Instagram pada akun @studiokopi.smd sebagai media pemasaran untuk meningkatkan loyalitas pelanggan. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari berkembangnya penggunaan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi yang efektif, termasuk bagi pelaku usaha lokal seperti Studio Kopi di Samarinda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi pemasaran Studio Kopi melalui Instagram serta efektivitasnya terhadap perilaku pelanggan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara semistruktur, dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana serta teori AIDA dalam bauran komunikasi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Studio Kopi memanfaatkan berbagai elemen komunikasi pemasaran, seperti periklanan, promosi penjualan, humas dan publikasi, penjualan pribadi, serta pemasaran langsung melalui fitur-fitur Instagram. Strategi tersebut terbukti meningkatkan perhatian, minat, keinginan, dan tindakan pelanggan, sehingga mendukung peningkatan loyalitas. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa Instagram menjadi media pemasaran yang efektif, mudah diakses, dan hemat biaya dalam memperkuat hubungan Studio Kopi dengan pelanggan.
