Abstract

Abstract: Child labour is a universal phenomenon that occurs in most parts of the world. Indonesia as part of developing countries cannot be separated from the issue, including Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) regency which is one of the richest areas in the country. Although Kukar regency is chosen as one of the model in the elimination of child labour, this is accompanied by people’s understanding on Child Labor Free Zone program enacted by the local government. This study tried to explore people's understanding of Regulation No. 09/ 2004 on ZBPA and evaluate communication strategies effectively used to build and optimize the sustainability of the program. It is important as public participation can only be improved if the communication is conducted in a proper way. Abstrak: Pekerja anak merupakan fenomena universal yang terjadi di hampir seluruh belahan dunia. Indonesia sebagai bagian dari negara berkembang juga tidak terlepas dari masalah ini, termasuk didalamnya Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara yang merupakan salah satu daerah terkaya di negeri ini. Terpilihnya Kab Kukar sebagai salah satu daerah model pengentasan pekerja anak, ternyata tidak dibarengi dengan pemahaman masyarakatnya mengenai program Zona Bebas Pekerja Anak yang diusung pemerintah setempat. Penelitian ini mencoba menggali pemahaman masyarakat terhadap Perda No 09/2004 tentang ZBPA, dan kemudian mengevaluasi strategi komunikasi yang efektif digunakan untuk membangun dan memaksimalkan keberlangsungan program tersebut. Hal ini penting untuk dilakukan mengingat partisipasi publik hanya dapat dibangun jika komunikasi dilangsungkan dengan cara yang tepat.

Abstract

This study begins from a simple question on how Dayak Benuaq and Dayak Tunjung/Tonyoii people (individually and collectively) are able to maintain their local wisdom and local culture in the midst of the ambush of mass media exposure and then acknowledged as the Dayak tribes who are still ‘Beradat (Wellmannered)”. Their local wisdom which is still maintained were able to counteract the negative eff ects of mass media exposure so it can be used as a model of literacy media, either through media literacy education  or media literacy movement. This study used a qualitative explanatory method and used a communication ethnographic approach in fi eld. Primary data was collected through interviewsed and observations of some Dayak Benuaq and Dayak Tunjung people, including some community leaders and local governmentoffi cials that found with the snowball sampling technique. The results showed that, fi rst, public awareness through the local wisdom lense in media literacy has not been able yet to maximize their own potential due to society passivity as media users, as well as a lack of support from the government to create a media savvy society. Second, the model used within both tribes is known as Protectionist Model based on their local wisdom which includes four kinds of elements, which are; the ability to access, to analyse, to evaluate, and to create content.

Abstract

Information communication technology nowadays is used in the economic era digital and tourism industry. Related to ecotourism is applying intelligent tourist villages, preserving natural resources, maintaining physical and mental health, and providing a positive response to the surrounding community. Not fully utilized by online media. Compete globally but able to take advantage of information technology. This research aims to see the village's concern and readiness to use information technology to realize smart tourism. The qualitative research method used interviews of all managers of Kedang Ipil Village. The results showed that the Kedang Village manager used social media to introduce and even sell the old Kutai traditions through Facebook, website and Instagram.

Abstract

Indonesia’s economy consists mainly of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). In this pandemic situation, the government through its various institutions has made various efforts to save Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the impact of covid-19, including Indonesian Central Bank located in East Kalimantan Province. Its existing empowerment program named Mini University Kaltim Preneurs made an innovation to accommodate all its graduates to support each other in a local market place named Minishop. This study try to analyse the empowerment communication strategy implemented by Bank Indonesia-East Kalimantan Area in strengthening the local MSMEs in new normal era, and map out the barriers and challenges faced to improve the program. This research employs qualitative method, and using empowerment communication theory as an umbrella to analyse the data. The study found that the success of MSME rescue policy from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic needs to be supported by some specific strategies to maintain the sustainability of MSMEs as one of the players of the Indonesian economy.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe how the communication strategy of stunting prevention efforts by Palaran Health Center. The formulation of communication strategies uses Onong Uchjana Effendy’s research focus and Campaign Communication Theory. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to explain in detail and in depth. The results of the research conducted by researchers can be concluded that the communication strategy for preventing stunting by the Palaran Health Center is to recognize the target being of communication directly based on data obtained from the posyandu with the target being productive women and adolescents. Indirectly based on followers who are friends and have followed the social media belonging to the Palaran Health Center. Selection of communication media directly by socializing to schools and communities, while indirectly using social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Website and print media such as Leaflets, Banners and Posters. Assessment of the purpose of communication messages based on vision and mission. The role of communicators in communication based on criteria including doctors, nutritionists, health promotion, midwives and nurses.

Abstract

Fenomena pernikahan jarak jauh semakin berkembang, baik di Indonesia maupun dunia, dengan banyak pasangan suami istri terpisah akibat tuntutan pekerjaan atau pendidikan. Hal ini menimbulkan tantangan dalam menjaga hubungan harmonis. Komunikasi efektif dan manajemen konflik yang tepat sangat penting untuk mencegah perceraian. Kota Samarinda mencatat angka perceraian tertinggi di Kalimantan Timur, menandakan adanya masalah serius dalam hubungan pernikahan, termasuk pernikahan jarak jauh. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan beberapa pasangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori penetrasi sosial sebagai kerangka teoritis. Teori ini menjelaskan bagaimana individu membangun kedekatan melalui proses pengungkapan diri yang bertahap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya variasi pola komunikasi antar pasangan. Beberapa pasangan menerapkan pola komunikasi persamaan, yang ditandai dengan komunikasi terbuka, jujur, dan mendalam, menciptakan keintiman emosional. Ada pula pasangan dengan pola komunikasi seimbang terpisah, di mana masing-masing memiliki kekuasaan dalam bidang berbeda. Sementara itu, beberapa pasangan menunjukkan pola komunikasi monopoli, di mana satu pihak mendominasi percakapan. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pola komunikasi yang sehat dan seimbang berpengaruh besar terhadap kualitas hubungan dalam pernikahan jarak jauh, serta pentingnya pengungkapan diri untuk membangun keintiman dan saling pengertian.Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini akan memberi pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang tantangan yang dihadapi pasangan dalam pernikahan jarak jauh serta memberikan rekomendasi praktis untuk meningkatkan komunikasi dan pengelolaan konflik, yang pada akhirnya dapat mengurangi angka perceraian dan meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan pernikahan di masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi komunikasi interpersonal yang digunakan oleh petugas informasi dalam menangani pengaduan peserta di BPJS Kesehatan Samarinda. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam terhadap dua petugas utama dan sebelas peserta, observasi, dokumentasi, dan survei kepuasan sederhana. Informan dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, dan data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima elemen dominan dalam strategi komunikasi interpersonal: keterbukaan, empati, dukungan, sikap positif, dan kesetaraan. Meskipun sebagian petugas telah menunjukkan komunikasi yang jelas dan respons emosional yang baik, masih terdapat inkonsistensi dalam penerapan empati dan tindak lanjut keluhan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya praktik komunikasi yang konsisten dan berpusat pada manusia dalam pelayanan pengaduan publik. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap teori komunikasi pelayanan publik dan menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan pelatihan komunikasi empatik dan partisipatif bagi petugas BPJS Kesehatan.
