Abstract

On learning activities in the class, teachers are faced with the reality of individual differences in ability. One of the causes that problem are students communication ability and the the teacher must determine the exact learning model to be used based on premilery study at SMPN 1 Tanggeung Cianjur, the ability of students communication at seventh class at material of organisasi kehidupan in the previous year are relatively low. Beside it, the cooperatif learning model tipe inside outside circle on the subject of Biologi has never been used. The purpuse of this research are for finding out the feasibility of study , to find out the students communication with or without learning model, analyzing the effect of learning model and knowing students respon on learning after using learning cooperatif model tipe inside outside circle of the organiasi kehidupan material. The research used quasi experiment method with nonequivalent control group design and the researcer took of the sample fromtwo classes with purposive sample technique, the instrument that was used was observation sheets, questionnaire, pretest and posttest in the form of twenty multiple choice questions that had been previously tasted. From the analysis that the feasibility study had increased, the activity of the teachcer in experiment class by 93,3 % was excellent categorized and control class 97% was excellent categorized too. The students communication in experiment class in average scores of pretest were 50,31, posttest 70,94 and N-gain 0,42 in medium categorized. Retrieved Zhitung 2,28 with the significant 5%, while the Ztabel1,65. Because Zhitung>Ztabel it can be concluded that Ho was rejected dan Ha was accepted. It’s mean that there was an effect of kooperatif learning model tipe inside out side circle on communication students skill at organisasi kehidupan materials. The students respon on learning using kooperatif learning model tipe inside outside circle had responded excelent with the average 83,05% with strong kualification.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the feasibility SQ3R method on the materialsub human excretory system, analyzing the critical thinking skills of students in the submaterial human excretory system using SQ3R method, analyzing the critical thinking skills ofstudents in the sub-material human excretory system with conventional learning, analyzingthe effect of the method SQ3R to the critical thinking skills of students in the sub-materialhuman excretory system and describes the students' response to the use of SQ3R method insub-material human excretory system. This study departs from the idea that learning thematerial sub human excretory system using the method SQ3R can help students to betterconcentrate on the text they have read and make students use thinking skills in understandingthe main ideas / concepts in the text. Such learning can train students to develop criticalthinking skills. The research method used is the method of quasi-experimental researchdesign with non-equivalent control group design. Samples were taken as much as two classeswith saturated sampling techniques. The instrument used is the observation sheet,questionnaire, pretest and posttest form of description as much as 10 questions that havepreviously been tested. The results obtained the critical thinking skills of students in theexperimental class 70.32 and N-gain of 0.28 with the qualification being. Meanwhile, criticalthinking skills of students in the control classes 64,35 and N-gain of 0.28 with lowqualifications. Results of Mann-Whitney test on the N-gain obtained Z hitung 6.71 > 1.65 Ztabel thus Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It is proved that there are significant SQ3Rstrategy on students' critical thinking skills in the sub-material human excretory system. Thisis supported by the average percentage of adherence to activity by 90% of teachers withexcellent qualifications, and the percentage of student responses by 71% with strongqualifications.

Abstract

Learning media is very important in order to facilitate learning or the income of information. In this 21st century, learning is not only focused on how to get but also how to find. 21st-century learning is also emphasized on digital literacy and also information literacy which is considered a fast door to learning. High digital literacy and information literacy, will facilitate the learning process carried out by students. This study aims to determine whether using LabXChange can improve or facilitate subjects in digital literacy and information literacy. The pre-Experimental design was used as a method in this study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 15 subjects with a sampling technique purposive sampling. This study obtained the results with H0 = Ha ≠ Hb = Hc, which means, the 15 subjects can increase digital and information literacy  with the use of LabXChange as a media for students

Abstract

This study was intended to analyze the effect of the ethnoscience-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on scientific thinking skills in reproductive system material. This research is a quasi-experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. This research was conducted at class XI MIPA students for the 2022/2023 academic year in Sumedang. The research instruments used were pretest-posttest sheets and questionnaires. The data collection technique used in this study included a test of 15 essay questions and a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, independent sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed that the students' scientific skills increased significantly after applying the ethnoscience-based learning model on the material of reproductive system. The independent sample t-test obtained p-value = 0.000 <0.05, which was significantly different between the posttest and pretest scores. N-Gain also obtained an average of 0.75 which indicates an increase in students' scientific skills in high category. The results of students' responses to learning with the ethnoscience-based PBL model on students' scientific thinking skills were included in very good category with an overall percentage of 82.5%. This study concluded that students' scientific thinking experienced an increase after learning through the ethnoscience-based PBL model on the reproductive system material.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengimplementasikan produk desain penilaian peserta didik di jenjang sekolah menengah yang diinterasikan dengan teknologi digital wordwall untuk pembelajaran biologi dengan format assessment for learning (AFL). Pada penelitian ini produk desain assessment for learning (AFL) yang dikembangkan melalui aplikasi wordwall  mampu mendukung pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian deskriptif focus pada produk desain assessment for learning (AFL) berbantu aplikasi wordwall. Produk AFL tersebut mencakup seluruh materi Sekolah Menengah baik tingkat SMP/ MTs dan SMA / MA yang kemudian diimplemetasikan untuk cara pembuatannya kepada sejumlah mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Pada artikel ini Penulis menguraikan bagaimana proses pembuatan dan produk AFL melalui wordwall konten pembelajaran biologi sekolah menengah dan implementasinya saat disampaikan ke melalui workshop pemanfaatan AFL melalui aplikasi wordwall kepada 48 Mahasiswa calon guru Biologi. Berdasarkan penjaringan data yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa AFL Pembelajaran biologi dengan aplikasi wordwall, baik dan dapat mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi di sekolah menengah. Adapun implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan suatu alternatif pendekatan pembelajaran secara integrative pada pembelajaran biologi melalui pemanfaatan AFLmelalui wordwall untuk pembelajaran pasca pandemic covid-19 yang secara tidak sadar masih tetap harus menintegrasikan dengan teknologi.

Abstract

Individual ability to understand what is taught is the first step to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes. However, often students are not able to understand existing concepts, misinterpret concepts, or concepts received are not in accordance with the concepts of experts. This research is a descriptive research with a survey method. This study aims to determine the percentage of students who master the concept, do not know the concept, experience misconceptions (misconceptions) and lucky guesses (lucky guesses) and analyze the level of student understanding of the material on organ systems. The sub-matter included is the reproductive system, digestive system, respiratory system, and excretory system. The benefits of this research can also be recommended in compiling appropriate learning materials so that misunderstandings can be minimized. The population in this study were 25 basic biology education students. The instrument used is a multiple choice question consisting of 50 questions on organ system material equipped with a Certainty of Response Index (CRI) value on a scale of 0-5. The instruments used were interview sheets and true-false choice tests along with the reasons accompanied by. Based on the research data obtained, it can be described that the average respondent has a misconception of 48% as indicated by the number of respondents who answered incorrectly with high CRI criteria. Almost every sub-chapter of material on organ systems has misconceptions. Misconceptions about the hormonal system accounted for the largest percentage of the total percentage of misconceptions. This is indicated by the average misconception in the material of 14 out of the total. Based on these findings it can be used as an evaluation to create learning tools that will be implemented through learning in general biology courses. Key Words: CRI, Misconception, Teaching material

Abstract

This research is based on a problem found in one of the Madrasah Aliyah schools, namely the model used is not diverse enough that it is considered boring. When learning accepts students feel bored and bored. So that learning activities in class tend to be more rigid and passive. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' responses to the model. learning RMS (Reading, Mind mapping, and Sharing) on ​​Virus material. The research method used is Quasi Experimental (Quasi Experimental). Obtaining data in this study showed that the average student response was 77% in the good category. Thus it can be concluded that students' responses to the RMS learning model (Reading, Mind mapping, and Sharing) on ​​Virus material can be used because it is more fun so it can be used as an alternative.
