Abstract

Target of this research to test work characteristic influence and discipline to organizational commitment with in mediation by satisfaction work officer in Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Pursuant to the mentioned hence this research take title ”Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan  Dan Karakteristik Pekerjaan Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Dengan Mediasi Kepuasan Kerja (Studi Pegawai Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang )”. In this research take Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang Officer amounting to 218 people. Intake of Sample with sampling purposive technique representing method intake of sample by determining criterion beforehand that is officer having minimum year of service three year. As for sample which is taken in this research equal to 100 responder. Data analysis use doubled linear regression. Pursuant to result of research which have been done by hence can know by leadership style and work characteristic have an effect on to satisfaction of job. Leadership style, work characteristic and satisfaction of job have an effect on to officer performance. For the test of satisfaction mediation work leadership style influence mediation and work characteristic to officer performance.   Keyword : Style leadership, work characteristic, satisfaction work and officer  performance

Abstract

Kapal MT. Sepinggan saat melakukan pelayaran (voyage) dari Surabaya menuju Cilacap pada tanggal 9 Agustus 2019 mengalami kerusakan pada main cooling sea water pump yang diawali dari naiknya temperature piston cooling yang tidak normal akibatnya piston mesin induk mengalami overheat. Penelitian ini menggunakan rumusan masalah yaitu apa faktor penyebab, apa akibat dari faktor penyebab, dan bagaimana penanganan akibat dari faktor penyebab, dengan metode atau pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam menganalisis permasalahan yaitu menggunkan teknik observasi (pengamatan), wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab kerjamain cooling sea waterpumpyang di MT. Sepinggan, untuk mengetahui akibat yang ditimbulkan dari penyebab kerja main cooling sea water pump yang menurun di MT. Sepinggan dan untuk mengetahui cara mencegah kerja main cooling sea water pump yang menurun di MT. Sepinggan. Berdasarkan penelitian ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan kerja main cooling sea water pump yang menurun pada proses pendinginan piston mesin induk di MT. Sepinggan yaitu kondisi pipa air laut yang kotor dan berkarat, pompa melebihi batas jam kerja, low insulation resistance, getaran berlebih pada operasional kapal. Akibat yang ditimbulkan berupa kerja main cooling sea water pump menurun dan berakibat pada naiknya temperatur piston cooling. Penanganan yang dilakukan adalah penggantian pipa air laut dan membersihkan sea chest, melakukan pengecekan baut pengikat secara berkala, melakukan megger test. Abstract

The background of the problem in this research is the learning difficulties experienced by thestudents of class I Proggram of Mechanical Expert Automotive SMK N 5 Semarang academic year2016/2017 which indicated less than optimal learning achievement. This background becomes thebasis of research. The purpose of this study is to mengetehui level of difficulty belaajr students SMKN 5 Semarang, especially class I Automotive Mechanics Expertise Program. In addition, the mainobjective to be achieved is to determine the dominant factors that cause the difficulty of learninggrade 2 students of Automotive Mechanical Skill Program of SMK Negeri 5. In accordance with thepurpose of research into the study population is a class I in the academic year 2016/2017. Themethod of collecting dta used there is 2, that is documentation method to determine population. Inthis case the documentation is in the form of a list of student names. The second method is thequestionnaire method. Questionnaire was prepared using a lattice consisting of 33 sub factors and 66items. Based on the results of the test instrument performed by students of grade 3 MO 1 academicyear 2016/2017, the analysis results obtained 52 valid questions and 14 invalid questions. Ininstrument testing, the price of r11 is greater than the reference price of 0.30 so that the instrument isreliable and can be used as a test instrument. Then taken 33 questions sesui with sub factorrespectively. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique percentage. Thistechnique uses a comparison of the student scores with an ideal score. Overall the total score ofstudents studied is 2470 of the entire ideal score of 5280 or 46.78%. Based on predeterminedcriteria, this percentage belongs to less problematic category. Of the 32 respondents studied, all hadproblems learning in the less problematic category. The number of scores per sub-factor showsdifferent categories. Sub factor of family environment, society environment included in less problemcategory. While the sub-factor of the school environment into the category is quite problematic.Based on the results of the above research can be concluded that the level of difficulty learning siswamasuk dalm less problematic category. The cause of students' learning difficulties fromextracurricular factors is very dominant as a learning difficulty factor.For teachers should be as early as possible to identify the learning difficulties experienced bystudents so that it can help solve it. For SMK N 5 Semarang should always fix the condition of theschool so that the teaching and learning process can take place properly.Keywords: Learning Difficulties, Automotive Mechanics

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aircraft streeing gear is one of the auxiliary machineries that functions forchange and determine the direction of motion of the ship, both straight and turn the ship, to the left (portside) and to the right (starboard side), by moving the rudder (steering wheel). MethodThe research used in this study is a quantitative method. Data analysis techniqueusing the Urgency, Seriousness, and Growth (USG) method by determining priority levelsIssues use a scale of numbers in order to get an effective and effective issue resolution withmaintain the performance of Steering Gear in SV. SWISSCO SAMSON then do maintenanceand repairs as desired. Based on the results of research that has been done by researchers,steering gear does not work optimally, caused by not operating the system value properly,there are several bolts or connections (connectors) to the pipe that loosens, the quality and type of oilimproper hydraulic applications, damage to seals and o-rings. Decreased pump performancehydraulics, caused by leakage of pipe joints, damage to valves, loss of qualityhydraulic oil, dirty or clogged filters and leaks in hydraulic cylinders. To overcomethese factors can be done by regularly checking the electric-hydraulicsteering gear, checking the pump, checking the pipe leading to the pumphydraulics, hydraulic pump valves, hydraulic oil quality checking

Abstract

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Transportation commissioned the Semarang Polytechnic of Shipping Science to conduct basic safety training (BST) of motor yachts to certify the crew of tourist boats and fishermen in Sungai Liat Bangka Regency. This activity is based on a letter of request from KSOP Sungai Liat to the Semarang Polytechnic of Shipping Sciences which aims to improve the competence of the Crew related to shipping safety and marine environmental pollution. Instructors and Lecturers of Semarang Polytechnic of Shipping Sciences as Resource Persons conduct education, training and counseling to the crew of tourist boats and Fishermen of Sungai Liat in order to implement safety and security in carrying out their duties and also support the protection of the marine environment for the common.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya apa saja yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi dan memperbaiki kebisingan abnormal pada kompresor makanan, AC. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di MV. Andhika Kanishkha. Saat itu, penulis sedang melakukan praktek laut (Prala) dari tanggal 02 Desember 2021 hingga 08 Desember 2022 (12 bulan 08 hari). Data yang dikumpulkan melalui metode lapangan (observasi) dan metode pustaka, termasuk dokumen, manual, dan buku-buku yang terkait dengan judul skripsi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu suara abnormal pada kompressor pendingin makanan disebabkan salah satunya yakni vanbelt yang kendor atau sudah tidak layak pakai, maupun mekanikal seal yang longgar sehingga menyebabkan bunyi. Saran penulis adalah senantiasa melakukan pemeriksaan serta perawatan terhadap komponen – komponen pada mesin kompresor pendingin makanan di atas kapal secara berkala sesuai dengan plan maintenance system yang sudah tertera di manual book.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab sulitnya start awal pada mesin induk (main enginer) kapal serta dampak yang ditimbulkannya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pendekatan observasi dan analisis data lapangan. Masalah utama yang ditemukan adalah ketidakmampuan mesin induk untuk menyala akibat voltase baterai yang tidak sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang tercantum dalam buku manual. Setelah dilakukan pelaporan kepada Masinis 2, dilakukan pengecekan terhadap kondisi baterai mesin induk. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan bahwa baterai mengalami penurunan performa yang berdampak pada proses penyalaan mesin. Sebagai solusi, dilakukan penggantian baterai sesuai spesifikasi pabrikan, serta penerapan pengecekan dan perawatan rutin untuk mencegah kegagalan serupa di masa mendatang. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemeliharaan baterai yang tepat berperan penting dalam menjamin keandalan sistem penyalaan mesin induk kapal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah alat peraga kapal berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif di Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Makassar. Alat ini dirancang untuk merepresentasikan sistem kerja kapal secara sederhana namun fungsional, sehingga dapat membantu taruna memahami prinsip dasar navigasi, pengendalian kapal, serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam dunia maritim. Sistem dikendalikan menggunakan Arduino UNO dan dilengkapi dengan komponen seperti motor DC sebagai penggerak utama, servo motor untuk sistem kemudi, serta sensor-sensor pendukung seperti sensor jarak (ultrasonik), suhu, dan cahaya untuk memperkaya pembelajaran berbasis data. Proses pengembangan meliputi tahap desain, perakitan fisik alat, pemrograman, serta pengujian fungsi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga dapat beroperasi dengan baik, memberikan umpan balik visual dan gerakan yang responsif, serta mampu mensimulasikan pengendalian kapal dalam skala kecil. Implementasi alat ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman praktis taruna terhadap sistem kapal dan teknologi Arduino secara menyeluruh, serta mendorong inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di bidang pendidikan maritim.
