Abstract

This study aims: To describe the religious behavior of Buddhists and Muslims; To analyze the social harmonization formed in the religious behavior; To analyze the factors that cause of social harmonization in the religious behavior. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Milles and Huberman models. The data validity test using triangulation techniques and sources. The results of the study describe the Buddhists and Muslims in Sodong hamlet have realized that worship according to religion and belief is a basic need for religious people. Harmony is seen in gotong-royong, together in celebration of religious ceremonies, mutual support and giving, anjangsana and the formation of togetherness groups in the field of arts and culture. The harmony that grows in the plural society in Sodong hamlet is due to the principle that is believed together with the slogan "sing penting rukun". Factors supporting the formation of social harmonization originating from internal and external factors and inhibiting factors from external. The meaning in the Upali Sutta refers to an inclusive religious understanding, which assumes that the truth is not only found in the religion he adheres to, more than that there is also truth in other religions.

Abstract

The low belief of Buddhists can be seen from the indicators of religious behavior. Indicators of religious behavior appear in the activities carried out by people both in the temple and at home. The purpose of coaching in the context of Buddhist education is to improve the quality of saddha (faith) and devotion to Buddhists in various aspects of life. This study aims to describe the role of Dharmaduta in shaping religious behavior in fostering people through the habituation method. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The research was carried out in the Madiun Residency area, on the grounds that there were Buddhists and Buddhist formation by Dharmaduta. Data is collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The test for the validity of the data uses triangulation techniques and data source methods. A dharmaduta is an intelligent servant in Buddhism, which means providing services to the people based on their competence and intellect. Religious behavior that is formed in Buddhists is a reflection of the implementation of Buddhist teachings. Habits that are formed will have an effect on increasing Buddhist faith and morality. The religious behavior of Buddhists refers to the ten ways of doing good (dasa puññakiriyavatthu). Habit on behavior that arises based on role models, and special experiences of leaders who in this case are dharmaduta. Rendahnya keyakinan umat Buddha dapat ketahui dari indikator perilaku keberagamaan. Indikator perilaku keberagamaan tampak pada kegiatan yang dilakukan umat baik di vihara maupun di rumah. Tujuan pembinaan dalam konteks penyuluhan agama Buddha adalah meningkatkan kualitas saddha (keyakinan) dan bakti umat Buddha dalam berbagai segi kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran Dharmaduta dalam membentuk perilaku keberagamaan pada pembinaan umat melalui metode pembiasaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah Karesidenan Madiun, dengan alasan, terdapat umat Buddha dan pembinaan umat Buddha oleh Dharmaduta. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi metode dan sumber data. Seorang dharmaduta merupakan pelayan yang intelek dalam agama Buddha, artinya memberikan pelayanan kepada umat dengan berlandaskan pada kompetensi dan intelektualitas yang dimiliki. Perilaku keberagamaan yang terbentuk pada umat Buddha merupakan cerminan dari pelaksanaan ajaran Buddha. Pembiasaan yang terbentuk akan memberikan efek pada meningkatnya keyakinan dan moralitas umat Buddha. Perilaku keberagamaan umat Buddha mengacu pada sepuluh cara berbuat baik (dasa puññakiriyavatthu). Pembiasaan pada perilaku yang muncul berdasarkan teladan, dan pengalaman khusus dari para pemimpin, yaitu para dharmaduta.

Abstract

Terdapatnya siswa beragama Buddha yang mengalami stres akademik di SMP Negeri 4 Gombong menjadi alasan peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang Stres Akademik Pada Siswa Beragama Buddha Serta Dampaknya Pada Hasil Belajar Siswa. Tujuan penelitian (1) mengetahui sebab stres akademik pada siswa bergama Buddha. (2) menganalisis dampak stres akademik pada siswa beragama Buddha terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pendekatan penelitian studi kasus. Tempat penelitian di SMP Negeri 4 Gombong. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai Mei 2020. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi. Teknik analisis data mengacu konsep Milles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hambatan yang dialami siswa dalam proses pembelajaran seperti tuntutan orangtua dan terdapat dampak stres akademik pada hasil belajar seperti stres negatif dan stres positif.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Buddha di SMP N 3 Kaloran, belum maksimal selain ada masalah dari diri peserta didik, sarana prasarana pembelajaran juga kurang memadahi. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui pengaruh ketersediaan sarana prasarana pembelajaran terhadap prestasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Buddha (2) Mengetahui pengaruh keaktifan peserta didik terhadap prestasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Buddha, (3) Mengetahui pengaruh ketersediaan sarana prasarana pembelajaran dan keaktifan peserta didik terhadap prestasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Buddha. Desain penelitian ini adalah Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi pada penelitian yaitu peserta didik beragama Buddha yang berjumlah 45 peserta didik, teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS 25. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa, ketersediaan sarana prasarana pembelajaran dan keaktifan peserta didik terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Buddha di SMP N 3 Kaloran.

Abstract

This recent study was conducted in the former residency of Madiun, East Java. The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of counseling media as tools for Buddhist counselors. The counseling media involved posters, short videos, and PowerPoint presentations. The population of the study consisted of Buddhist people living in the former residency of Madiun, and the sample was selected using a simple random sampling. The total respondents of the study were 50 Buddhist participants who met the criteria for the research. The data for this study were collected using pretests and posttests. The quasi-experimental design used in this study was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of these tests were then analyzed statistically using SPSS to determine the effectiveness of the counseling media. The analysis focused on comparing pretest and posttest scores to assess the improvement in participants' knowledge after receiving treatment through the counseling media. The results of the study showed that all three counseling media—posters, short videos, and PowerPoint presentations—are effective tools for counseling, as the posttest values were higher than the pretest values. Among the three media, the PowerPoint presentations achieved the highest average score, indicating their superior effectiveness in enhancing knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the ancestral offering tradition and analyze the reconstruction of the ancestral offering tradition by the Buddhists. The type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Research at Dharma Dwipa Temple, Sodong, Ponorogo. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Milles and Huberman model. Test the validity of the data with triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of the study found that the offering tradition was carried out in various celebration events. Behavior towards the offering tradition describes the cultural life of the Javanese people, which is inseparable from ritual symbols. The reconstruction that occurs in the offering tradition refers to the concept of incorporating several innovations without changing their original nature and characteristics. Changes that occur in the offering tradition lead to three principles, namely: 1) understanding the values ​​of the offering tradition, 2) adjusting the elements (means) of offerings, and 3) integrating into Buddhist rituals.
