Abstract

Religious tourism has now become one of the favorite destinations for tourists. However, there are still many temples that are not widely known by tourists. Even though many temples, such as Sari Temple, have a certain charm, such as the shape of the temple which is like a house complete with doors and windows. However, there is still minimal information regarding the history and meaning of the temple reliefs. This research was carried out at the Sari temple which is located in Uang Istimewa Yogyakarta. This research aims to analyze the Buddhist values at Sari Temple based on the history of this temple. This research uses a qualitative research design where the research object is Sari Temple itself. There are three techniques used to collect data, namely interviews, literature study, and documentation. The data collected was then analyzed qualitatively through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that there are three Buddhist values that can be found based on the history of Sari temple, namely samma sankappa (right thoughts) , samma kamanta (right action) and samma vaca (right speech). Each of these Buddhist values has moral values in it.

Abstract

Professional teachers are those who can carry out classroom action research (PTK) and other research as supporting elements. Various types of research carried out by teachers have the hope that improving learning activities will create better learning. Teachers are not always concerned with learning administration alone, but teachers must also be able to identify problems with their students. Community service activities carried out by lecturers at the Sekolah Tinggi Agama Buddha Negeri Raden Wijaya Wonogiri use material presentations and assistance to Buddhist teachers in Boyolali. Apart from lectures, the service team also provided a questionnaire to measure the level of teacher understanding regarding Classroom Action Research in implementing service activities. Abstract

This recent study was conducted in the former residency of Madiun, East Java. The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of counseling media as tools for Buddhist counselors. The counseling media involved posters, short videos, and PowerPoint presentations. The population of the study consisted of Buddhist people living in the former residency of Madiun, and the sample was selected using a simple random sampling. The total respondents of the study were 50 Buddhist participants who met the criteria for the research. The data for this study were collected using pretests and posttests. The quasi-experimental design used in this study was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of these tests were then analyzed statistically using SPSS to determine the effectiveness of the counseling media. The analysis focused on comparing pretest and posttest scores to assess the improvement in participants' knowledge after receiving treatment through the counseling media. The results of the study showed that all three counseling media—posters, short videos, and PowerPoint presentations—are effective tools for counseling, as the posttest values were higher than the pretest values. Among the three media, the PowerPoint presentations achieved the highest average score, indicating their superior effectiveness in enhancing knowledge.

Abstract

The 2024 Presidential Election will not only be limited to conventional campaigns such as rallies or door-to-door visits. But it has shifted to a wider and more dynamic virtual space, for example the use of the Facebook platform. Politicians who use Facebook as a medium for building their self-image or personal branding are Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka who are campaigning for the 2024 presidential election. Both of them have challenges in creating and building personal branding on digital media because of their large age difference. The purpose of this research is to determine the personal branding strategy used through the Facebook platform. A qualitative descriptive approach with multimodality analysis is the method used. The results of the research show that Prabowo-Gibran built a strong personal brand through a combination of creative content, consistent use of colors and structured message delivery. The uniqueness of Prabowo-Gibran's strategy lies in the combination of formal leadership with a personal approach that is close to the community, as well as the use of social media formats that are relevant to various audience segments. This research provides insight into the effectiveness of the use of social media in the formation of contemporary political personal branding.
