Abstract

Tourism activities should pay attention to several principles of management, besides the fulfillment of the tourists’ needs, the other thing to be noted is the surrounding communities without damaging the natural environment and its cultural and having a positive impact on the welfare of the local community so that it will create balance between tourism and the community. Batu Termanu region has tourism potential such as marine tourism, culture and history as a tourist attraction, but it has not developed properly. This study aims to determine the potential of Batu Termanu Region as a tourist destination area and to define the right strategy of tourism development here. Data analysis method used was SWOT analysis. The result of this study showed that Batu Termanu Region has the potential of natural, culture, history appeal and kinship community, but it was not fully supported yet by the facilities, infrastructure, transport and friendliness that support tourist activities. The right strategies in developing this area were to build all of the facilities and good infrastructure, promotion, making travel packages, to involve the community in the development process.

Abstract

This article is about the commodification of the Betang Tumbang Gagu House in East Waringin Regency of Central Kalimantan as a tourist attraction. This article is aimed to discuss the philosophy of Betang house, the potential tourism of the Betang Tumbang Gagu House, the factors commodifying, and the forms of commodification. The method applied in this study was the qualitative descriptive method in order to describe the relationship between phenomenon or phenomenon under study with a systematic, factual and accurate. Data collection is done by collecting and analyzing the data through the literature relating to issues to be investigated; such as the textbooks, scientific journals, and other legal sourcers. Descriptive interpretative methods were also used to analyze the data. The results of the analysis show that the Cultural Heritage of the Dayak tribe of Central Kalimantan Betang Tumbang Gagu is used as a cultural tourism attraction in the hope of preserving the history and culture of the past. It will be easier the passage of time and the increasing number of tourists who are on the way will lead to cultural degradation and authenticity (authenticity) of community culture. The existence of commodification in the utilization of cultural heritage of betang house as a tourist attraction give positive and negative impact. Cultural heritage is one part of the material aspects of human culture. Culture is not a knowledge that needs to be borne early on, sailors are also the identity of a nation that gives special features of other nations. The values of customs and traditions that have been entrenched as functioning as a unifying community, therefore it is necessary for the collaboration of all parties to maintain and preserve the cultural tourism attractions Betang Tumbang Gagu. Keywords: Commodification, Cultural Heritage, Tourist Attraction.

Abstract

This article is about a cultural tourism in the Prai Ijing Traditional Village, Waikabubak City District, West Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. The aim of this article is to discuss the tourism development and identify the potential of cultural tourism in the Prai Ijing Traditional Village, Waikabubak City District, West Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. The data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The sampling techniques were purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to give an overview of the identity of the potential of cultural tourism in the Prai Ijing Traditional Village. The results of the analysis show that The Traditional Village of Prai Ijing is one of the potential tourist destinations with a megalithic grave bed and traditional house inside having a unique culture, a strategic location, and having been visited by tourists. The tourism development is managed by Bumdes Iyya Tekki and the entire village community. The development is able to provide additional income for th local community. There are efforts to improve the quality of human resources through skill training and english class. There are tourism components in supporting tourism development, namely attractions, accessibility, amenities, and the existence of a management institution (ancillary). As input for further development, it is necessary to maintain the cultural preservation and local wisdom, improve the service quality, the diversity of attractions and tourist activities in Prai Ijing Traditional Village

Abstract

This article analyzes about the participation and communityempowerment in the management of unique and beautiful touristattraction of rice terrace in Ceking Village, Gianyar Regency. It also discuses tourists’ opinion to the tourist attraction of Ceking. The theories used in this research are the theory of participation and community management theory. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The sampling techniques used were purposive and accidental sampling. Data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative analysis to give an overview of community empowerment in the management of tourist attraction in the Village of Ceking of Tegallalang, the Gianyar Regency. The finding shows that people around the tourist attraction of Ceking have participated in thedevelopment of the tourist attraction. However, the community empowerment of Ceking tourist attraction has not been performedoptimally yet, because around the tourist attraction, there are twolarge communities, namely the villages of Tegallalang and Kedisan.The Kedisan community, as the owner of the rice terrace, has notbeen optimally empowered and involved in the management anddevelopment. Tourists visiting Ceking considered it an interestingtourist attraction to visit, but expressed that the infrastructureand the tourist facilities on the attraction are very poor and needimprovement.

Abstract

Seminyak is one of tourist destination area in Bali . The development of tourism in the Seminyak accompanied by a fairly rapid growth of villas has reach the residential areas.The existence of this phenomenon is believed impacting the social and economic life of the community. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the types of impact, the factors that led to the emergence of impact and efforts to do related to the impact of un-concentrated development of villas in Seminyak area. The results showed that un-concentrated villa’s developments in the Seminyak gives social and economic impact of local communities. The social impact such as improving the quality of public education, increasing solidarity between citizens, and rising crime. Impact on the economy field such as increasing employment opportunities, incomes, and also increasing the food prices. Side factor causing the emergence of social impact in terms of the influence of foreign tourists visiting, the quantity and quality of adequate educational facilities, increasing people's income, the immigrant community, location villas scattered, weak oversight of the villa, boost the economy, and the increasing influence of the surrounding environment land prices. Side factor causing the emergence of the economic impact such as growing amount of tourism infrastructure, manpower requirements at all levels, spending and the number of tourist arrivals, the high price of handicraft products, targeted changes to the traders and travelers interest in local food. Efforts to do in the field of social such as, increase security and preserve the stability of the local culture, while in the economic field is classified according to the type of target market stalls.

Abstract

This article is about the optimalization of the development of “Setra Ari-Ari” As A Cultural Tourism Attraction in Bayung Gede Villages, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. This article is aimed to find an effort that needs to be made to optimize the development of the Setra Ari-Ari cultural tourism attraction so that it can provide benefits to local communities without reducing the existing sacred and preservation values. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentations. The sampling techniques used were purposive sampling. Data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative analysis to give an overview optimalization of the development of “Setra Ari-Ari” As A Cultural Tourism Attraction in Bayung Gede Villages, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. The finding shows that Setra Ari-Ari has a unique culture that only Bayung Gede Village has, because of the tradition of hanging the placentas of newborns which are placed in coconut shells and hung on the Bukak tree (Cerbera manghas). There are efforts to develop the Bayung Gede Tourism Village including the Setra Ari-Ari. However, this effort is still not optimal in developing Setra Ari-Ari as a tourist attraction. The efforts that need to be made so that the development of the potential of Setra Ari-Ari can be more optimal, namely increasing tourism activities to make it more attractive, optimizing the use of tourism facilities and adding other facilities, increasing promotions and cooperation with other parties, improving the quality of human resources, and maintaining cleanliness. in the surrounding environment
