Abstract

Induction heating is clean environmental heating process due to a non-contact heating process. There is lots of the induction heating type that be used in the home appliance but it is still new technology in Indonesia. The main interesting area of the induction heating design is the efficiency of the usage of energy and choice of the plate material. COMSOL® Multiphysics Software can be used to simulate and estimate the induction heating process. Therefore, the software can be used to design the induction heating process that will have a optimum efficiency. The properties of the induction heating design were also simulated and analyzed such as effect of inductor’s width, inductor’s distance, and conductive plate material. The result was shown that the good design of induction heating must have a short width and distance inductor and used silicon carbide as material plate with high frequency controller.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi komputer dan teknologi telekomunikasi pada saat ini telah mengubah cara pandang masyarakat dalam berkomunikasi. Perkembangan internet pada saat ini ditemukan pada teknologi web, khususnya pada RESTful web service. Kenyataan ini memberi pengaruh negatif terhadap setiap pertukaran data yang terjadi. Maka, pentingnya data bagi sebagian orang memungkinkan tindak kriminalitas didunia internet meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan kriptografi pada RESTful web service dan mengukur tingkat performansi dari algoritma yang digunakan. Maka, didalam penelitian ini, algoritma Rijndael dan 3DES digunakan dengan menggunakan metode perancangan konseptual dan perancangan sistem untuk mendapatkan hasil yang memuaskan terhadap kedua algoritma. Pengujian dilakukan pada sebuah website pengelolaan data perpustakaan dengan RESTful api. Ukuran dokumen yang berbeda digunakan namun memiliki panjang kunci yang sama. Berdasarkan pengujian dan analisa yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa algoritma Rijndael menunjukkan performansi yang lebih baik dibandingkan algoritma 3DES. Maka, algoritma Rijndael disarankan sangat baik untuk digunakan didalam web service sebagai pengaman data.

Abstract

Makalah ini disarikan dari Tugas Akhir mahasiswa Diploma Tiga Teknik Informatika Politeknik Batam. Dalam makalah ini membahas pengontrolan komputer menggunakan sms untuk memudahkan kerja manusia. Pengontrolan komputer menggunakan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat mengirimkan format sms yang kemudian diolah kedalam komputer. Komputer yang akan di kontrol dalam makalah ini hanya bersifat stand alone yang nantinya dapat dikembangkan untuk pengontrolan komputer dalam sebuah jaringan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi internet sangat dirasakan sekarang ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik semua kalangan masyarakat bahkan sudah menjadi kebutuhan primer untuk kalangan tertentu, seperti kalangan pendidikan, ekonomi, kesehatan, dan sebagainya. Teknologi sekarang untuk bertukar suara sudah banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat, salah satunya adalah telepon tradisional, yaitu berkomunikasi baik menggunakan telepon kabel ataupun telepon genggam semua orang dapat berkomunikasi di dalamnya. Namun jika kita menggunakan panggilan telepon tradisional, selain tarif yang mahal juga letak geografis yang menentukan besar kecilnya biaya yang harus dikeluarkan. Dengan adanya teknologi Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) yang murah untuk berkomunikasi baik voice call maupun video call menggunakan internet yang berjalan melalui jaringan IP (Internet Protocol), ini membuat sebuah keuntungan sendiri bagi kalangan yang selalu membutuhkan alat komunikasi di lingkungan kerjanya, karena biaya lebih murah juga bersifat secara global, tidak mengacu terhadap jarak alamat yang dituju. Teknologi telepon ini mengubah suara menjadi kode digital melalui jaringan paket data, bukan sirkuit analog seperti telepon biasa. Implementasi VoIP Server menggunakan sistem operasi gratis Linux Trixbox CE yang mampu diakses client di OS Multi-Platform dan client berbasis Mobile Phone (Android).

Abstract

Android-based mobile GIS application is a service that combines digital maps in vector and smartphone media to search industry in Batam. This application is online. Currently, the information presented only provide location of region, users who are not familiar with the location will be difficult or take a long time to find the location of industry. Therefore it is necessary to design an application that is able to provide information on the location of industries in Batam. This thesis did research and development of Android-based mobile GIS applications to provide information on the location of industry in Batam. These applications have been built with the ability to show a map of Batam are taken from GeoServer, handle the search process, displays information and maps location of industry as desired user.

Abstract

The imbalance between labor supply and demand often leads to unemployment in a given region. The unemployment rate serves as a key indicator to assess the overall health of the economy. Utilizing Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) as a predictive tool has emerged as a reliable solution to forecast unemployment rates in Batam City, using 7 input parameters. The methodology employed in this predictive model is the Backpropagation algorithm. This involves dividing the dataset into two distinct components: training data, consisting of 4 parts, and the remaining data set aside for testing purposes. This division results in a substantial allocation of 95% for training data and a significant 79% for testing data. The accuracy achieved by this model forms the basis to evaluate its potential success in forecasting unemployment rates for the upcoming year. By harnessing the capabilities of Artificial Neural Networks and employing the Backpropagation methodology, it is possible to predict unemployment rates in Batam City. The outcomes of this analytical approach can serve as a reference to address labor imbalance issues, while also providing a pragmatic tool to enhance economic planning and policy formulation for a more sustainable future.

Abstract

The city of Batam as a tourist destination can be supported by regional development including the Sembulang sub-district area through the making of RT and RW area maps in Sembulang Sub-District/Village. This large-scale RT and RW map has a role as an official document that records administrative boundaries. Other spatial information in this map will later be needed in the development of the Kelurahan/Village to prepare spatial plans and inventory of village potential. In addition, these regional boundaries function to create administrative order, legal certainty so that it is expected to minimize boundary conflicts, regional fiscal calculations and identification of regional potential (Afdhalia et al., 2021; Lestari et al., 2020; Kemendagri. 2016; Budisusanto et al., 2014 ). The cartometric method can be used in determining and confirming Kelurahan/Village Boundaries in accordance with Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) regulations No.15 of 2019. So this year the community service team proposed kartometric Mapping of RT and RW Boundaries in Sembulang Village. In this service, a delineation of the RT and RW maps of Sembulang Village will be carried out. Determination of Boundaries through participatory mapping and FGD, and handing over the resulting products in the form of RT and RW Maps of Sembulang Village. The map of the boundaries of the RT RW Sembulang area was made with A3 paper size which was submitted to the Sembulang sub-district. This map contains information about the boundaries of the RT&RW areas in Sembulang Village as an information need for residents in Sembulang Village. Based on the results of these measurements, there were several changes to the rough map previously provided by the Sembulang Village, namely the expansion of one RT, which was originally 1 RT. From the results of this dedication, a map of the boundaries of the area was submitted to the Sembulang Village in print format.

Abstract

Nagari Sungai Batang, known as the birthplace of the religious figure Buya Hamka, is a culturally rich village with great tourism potential. However, it currently lacks an official website, and information about the village is only available on external news portals or the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy website. To enhance its visibility and accessibility, this community service project aimed to develop a dedicated website for Nagari Sungai Batang as a medium of information and promotion. This activity was part of a collaborative program between Politeknik Negeri Batam and Politeknik Negeri Padang, where the former developed the website while the latter created the information system. The website was developed using the Waterfall model, covering stages from requirements analysis to implementation and testing. Evaluation was conducted using Alpha-Beta testing, involving both developer and user environments. After completion, the team delivered the website and conducted user training on content management. The result showed that the website effectively served as an information and promotional medium, achieving a user satisfaction rate of 96%.
