Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the intensity of social media use, parental support and peer conformity on academic procrastination in completing thesis in UNS Economics Education students. The research method used was quantitative with a population of UNS Economics Education students in 2017, 2018, and 2019. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 119 respondents. The results of this study indicate that (1) there is a positive and significant influence between the intensity of social media use on academic procrastination in completing thesis for UNS Economics Education students. (2) there is a negative and significant influence between parental support for academic procrastination in completing thesis for UNS Economics Education students. (3) there is a positive and significant influence between peer conformity on academic procrastination in completing thesis for UNS Economics Education students. (4) there is a positive and significant influence between the intensity of social media use and peer conformity and a negative and significant influence between parental support for academic procrastination in completing thesis for UNS Economics Education students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of class climate, adversity intelligence, and parental support on student learning motivation in economics subjects at SMA Batik 2 Surakarta. The research method used was quantitative with a population of SMA Batik 2 Surakarta students. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample of 250. Data collection used documentation and questionnaires, and data analysis used multiple linear analysis. The results of this research show (1) there is an influence of classroom climate on students' learning motivation in economics subjects at SMA Batik 2 Surakarta with a calculated t value > t table (4.529 > 1.968) and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. (2) there is an influence of adversity intelligence on students' learning motivation in economics subjects at SMA Batik 2 Surakarta with a calculated t value > t table (6.889 > 1.968) and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. (3) there is an influence of parental support on students' learning motivation in economics subjects at SMA Batik 2 Surakarta with a calculated t value > t table (3.921 > 1.968) and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. (4) there is an influence of class climate, adversity intelligence, and parental support on students' learning motivation in economics subjects at SMA Batik 2 Surakarta based on the calculated F value > F table (98.210 > 1.968) and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Abstract The study aims to determine the direct influence of motivation on economic education students interest to taking the junior MSMEs mentoring consultant occupational certification, the direct influence of perceived behavior control on economic education students interest to taking the junior MSMEs mentoring consultant occupational certification, the direct influence of level of understanding on economic education students interest to taking the junior MSMEs mentoring consultant occupational certification. This research is quantitative study with a population of 195 students and a total sample of 131 Economic Education students from group class off 2018-2020. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. Data was collected using questionnaires. Data was analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression calculated wits SPSS application version 26. The results of this study indicate that the variables of the motivation and level of understanding have a positive and significant effect on economic education students interest to taking the junior MSMEs mentoring consultant occupational certification. Meanwhile, perceived behavior control do not affect on economic education students interest to taking the junior MSMEs mentoring consultant occupational certification.
