Abstract

The low level of student interest and the ability of Papua Abepura Adventist elementary school students in understanding and memorizing English vocabulary requires innovative learning media. The purpose of this research is to develop mobile phone-based English vocabulary learning media applications. English vocabulary learning applications can improve English vocabulary mastery for elementary school students, increase student motivation and interest in learning vocabulary, student-centered learning, trigger student creativity, effectiveness, build student independence in learning vocabulary, and the learning process can be done whenever and wherever students want to learn. This is expected to change the mindset and culture of using mobile phones for elementary school students in Papua so that they can be used properly and efficiently for learning English vocabulary. The application development method uses the waterfall which includes five stages, namely identification of user needs for learning English vocabulary, analysis, design, implementation, and testing

Abstract

In the education systems, particularly in college, thesis courses are one of the determinants of a student's graduation. However, while working on the thesis, many students are still unable to manage their own thesis files, many factors trigger this to happen, one of which is the number of revisions which causes a loss of enthusiasm in students. This can cause students forget where he/she store the files or accidentally delete their thesis files because they have not been done for a long time. To record the entire history of thesis files, a web-based version control system must be implemented which functions to record the entire history of student thesis files. The web was created using Typescript and Javascript programming languages with the Next.JS and Nest.JS frameworks that run on the Node.JS runtime, for the database using MongoDB. Based on the test results, it is concluded that this system runs well and this system is made very private so that one user cannot enter another user's repository. The system has been tested using black box testing.

Abstract

Traditional classroom-based teaching methods are still used in schools, particularly in Papua’s 3T (frontier, outermost, undeveloped) areas. This highly relies on the teacher-centered method and limits the completion of the curriculum due to time constraints imposed by the schedule. This research aims to design a web-based virtual smart school as a blended learning solution for schools in Papua’s 3T areas. The virtual smart school learning media application is developed using the ADDIE model, a five-step process encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research results in a virtual smart school application that can increase student motivation, enable independent learning, evaluate student learning progress, provide quick access to learning materials, and facilitate interactions between teachers and students at any time or location. The research concludes that virtual smart schools can become a blended learning solution to improve the quality and equity of education in underdeveloped areas of Papua.

Abstract

Video conference application to long distance guidance is a real time communication application service used to organizes consultation conference in Internet. The online consultation application can support text communication, face-to-face communication, dialogue-based communication, and sharing se- minar material presentation. The design of the online consultation application program consists of three parts,  which  are  a server  application program,  a lecturer application program and a student application program. The importance of the real time communication in organizing online consultation system is its capability to create virtual environment (Internet) as a replication of real world communication, because it supports text communi- cation, file presentation, face-to-face communication and direct dialogue between participants. The  face-to-face  communication  and  direct  dialogue  can  create  a dynamic interaction environment, because participants can interact face-to-face, directly talk to each other, obtain feedback, present physical reaction of other participants, and chatting using text communication. It become a solution to the problem of distance and time for meeting activities of two or more individuals using internet. The result of the research are sequence diagram and class diagram de- sign. Sequence diagram is used to representation communication scenario. Class diagram  is  used  to  representation  communication  functions.  That  contains group functions and rules/processes necessary in communication. The classes formed in the class diagram design are directly used as object classes at im- plementation level in the form of online consultation application program code

Abstract

Keberadaan tanaman bunga di setiap rumah dapat membuat suasana tenang, sehat, sejuk, dan segar. Kurangnya tanaman bunga yang tumbuh di setiap rumah di Kelurahan Hedam diakibatkan oleh beberapa hal antara lain tanaman bunga tidak dirawat dengan baik khususnya pada musim kemarau. Hal ini terjadi karena penyiraman tanaman bunga hanya dilakukan pada saat ada waktu luang, berbagai kesibukan ibu-ibu yang menyebabkan bunga menjadi layu, kering, dan mati. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian PNBP Universitas Cenderawasih ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dan praktek kepada ibu-ibu di RT. 02 RW. 04 kelurahan Hedam untuk menerapkan sistem penyiraman otomatis tanaman bunga berbasis teknologi Internet of Things (IoT). Metode kegiatan pengabdian yaitu ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, praktek, dan evaluasi penggunaan sistem penyiraman otomatis tanaman bunga. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian adalah mitra memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang teknologi IoT pada sistem penyiraman otomatis tanaman bunga. Pelatihan sistem penyiraman tanaman otomatis membantu ibu-ibu di Kelurahan Hedam dalam merawat tanaman bunga agar tidak layu atau mati karena kekurangan air dan penyiraman tanaman dilakukan secara realtime sesuai dengan kebutuhan air berdasarkan kondisi kelembaman tanah.

Abstract

The urgency of PNBP community service in 2024 is that teachers need to implement mobile learning applications as interactive multimedia learning media for science on solar system material for grade VI elementary school students. This is necessary because students find it difficult to understand the solar system subject matter and do not know what planets are in the solar system using textbook teaching materials and students get bored quickly and are less interested because students only imagine the solar system based on the teacher's explanation on the board. The purpose of this community service is the transfer of science and technology to implement mobile learning applications as interactive multimedia learning media for science on solar system subject matter for grade VI elementary school students. Community service activities are carried out using lecture methods, discussions, questions and answers, demonstrations and practices for using mobile learning applications for science, as well as evaluation of community service activities. The targeted output is that elementary school students can use interactive learning media for mobile learning applications for science to improve the quality of learning solar system material and the results of community service activities in the form of articles published in community service journals.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para guru adalah kurangnya keterampilan dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi, khususnya dalam hal pencatatan kegiatan pembelajaran secara sistematis dan digital. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah memberikan pelatihan dan implementasi aplikasi jurnal mengajar guru berbasis web sebagai solusi pengelolaan administrasi dan evaluasi kinerja guru yang disimpan pada database yang dapat diakses setiap saat. Hal ini meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru di SD Negeri Emereuw Jayapura dalam mengelola dan mendokumentasikan proses pembelajaran berbasis web. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung, yang diikuti oleh guru kelas dan guru mata pelajaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kemampuan guru dalam mengakses, mengisi, dan memanfaatkan aplikasi jurnal mengajar guru berbasis web sebagai alat bantu evaluasi pembelajaran. Respon peserta terhadap pelatihan sangat positif, dengan mayoritas menyatakan bahwa aplikasi ini membantu meningkatkan efisiensi dan akuntabilitas dalam pelaporan kegiatan mengajar dan administrasi pendidikan sekolah dasar di wilayah Papua. Aplikasi jurnal mengajar guru berbasis Web, memiliki kualitas sangat baik dan layak diterapkan, dengan rata-rata hasil penilaian keseluruhan tiap aspek adalah 95,45%.

Abstract

Pelatihan manajemen website dan Sosial Media di Kabupaten Keerom bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan potensi Kabupaten secara online. Sebagai salah satu kabupaten di daerah paling luar, dan berbatasan dengan Negara Papua New Guinea, Pemerintah Kabupaten Keerom perlu menampilkan informasi yang menyeluruh mengenai potensi daerah serta profile lain yang dianggap penting. Analisis sistem dilakukan dengan metode PIECES  Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan dilakukan dengan dengan pendekatan wawancara,Pengembangan Website itu sendiri serta workshop kepada beberapa pegawai yang bertuhas. Pendampingan dilakukan selama setahun. Hasil dari pelatihan tersebut berupa website dan akun sosial media . Dengan adanya website proses penyebaran informasi dapat lebih mudah, sehingga potensi yang dimiliki, dapat tersampaikan kepada masyarakat luas secara online.
