Soil is one of the most important parts in construction work. Soil being found in the field are vary in terms of its properties, and its quality usually does not meet the specified requirements for building construction on it including sandy soil. Sandy soil does not have cohesion value (c), so its shear strength is very low and can lead to collapse. Because of that, it needs to be stabilized to improve the parameter of soil shear strength which are friction angle value (Ï) and cohesion value (c). Stabilizing material being used in this research is asphalt, in order to improve cohesion and soil density. Asphalt being used in this research is emulsified asphalt SC 60-70 which is Asphalt Cement (AC) dissolved in diesel oil. In this research, the shear-strength of sandy soil stabilized with emulsified asphalt SC 60-70 was analyzed by means of direct shear-strength testing. It can be concluded from the result that friction angle tends to increase with the increase of the asphalt content. It can also be shown that the lowest friction angle value was found being at 0% asphalt content, 35,753°, while the biggest friction angle value was found being at 5% asphalt content,  38,970° (increased 10,169%).

Determination of the type of foundation used depends on several factors that determine the hard soil, soil type, and the load that will be borne by the foundation. To calculate the soil bearing capacity is used on three methods of comparing based on SPT data, CPT is also based on laboratory data. This type of research is an analysis of soil carrying capacity analysis based on CPT field research results on the BTS Tower construction project in 2 locations, Sambiki Village and Hino Village, Morotai Island Regency. The field data obtained in the geotechnical engineering project consists of 2 CPT test points and 1 Hand Boring test point at each location. From the results of the sondir / CPT test at two different locations obtained from hard soil up to 7 meters for Sambiki Village and 6.8 m for Hino Village so that the next calculation for the bearing capacity of the foundation uses the bearing capacity of the borepile foundation. Based on the calculation of the ultimate bearing capacity of the borepile foundation (qult) with the use of the diameter of the drill pole calculated experiments vary between the diameter of the pole 20 cm, 30 cm, and 40 cm then for Sambiki Village the qult exchange rate or the carrying capacity of the foundation at a height of 7 m is 26.14 tons for pole diameter 20 cm, pole diameter 52.17 tons for diameter 30 cm and 86.83 tons for pole diameter 40 cm. Whereas for Sambiki Village in the 6.8 m section produces a limit of qult value of 24.62 tons for pole diameter of 20 cm, 48.71 tons for pole diameter of 30 cm and 80.66 tons for pole diameter of 40 cm.

PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) or better known as Pelindo III is one of the State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) which is engaged in port terminal operator services. As a port terminal operator, Pelindo III manages 43 ports with 16 branch offices spread across seven provinces in Indonesia. The purpose of writing this research is to determine the management of liquid waste at PT. Pelindo III. Tanjung Emas Branch, the research method used was data collection by means of interviews and field observations by means of descriptive analysis. In this way the handling and management of waste should pay attention to Regulation of the Minister of Environment Number 05 of 2009 concerning Waste Management at Ports and Law No. 32 of 2009 concerning Protection and Management of the Environment. The results of this study that the source of waste contained in PT Pelindo III came from loading and unloading activities. The main waste is oil spills, and also office activities

Pembangunan sarana transportasi darat dalam hal ini jalan raya di Kabupaten Pulau Morotai saat ini sudah sangat pesat. Salah satu ruas jalan yang direncanakan untuk pembangunan jalan baru yaitu Ruas Jalan Kampus Unipas Morotai. Sejauh ini pembangunan jalan baru di Kabupaten Pulau Morotai dalam perencanaannya belum secara maksimal dilakukan survey untuk menguji kondisi tanah dasar maupun kekuatan tanah dasarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui daya dukung tanah dasar (subgrade) untuk keperluan perencanaan tebal perkerasan jalan di ruas jalan kampus Unipas Morotai melalui pengujian secara langsung di lapangan dengan pengujian laboratorium.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis tanah pada 3 titik lokasi pengambilan sampel termasuk jenis Tanah Lempung dengan kadar air lapangan tinggi antara 30-35%. Nilai CBR laboratorium pada titik 01 sebesar 33%, titik 2 sebesar 28% dan titik 3 sebesar 49%. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa dari hasil pengujian lab, tanah dasar memnuhi syarat sebagai subgrade pada perkerasan jalan dimana CBR >5%. Nilai CBR lapangan yang diuji pada titik 6 titik pengujian memberikan nilai yang variatif sebesar 4,64%-6,96% Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa dari hasil pengujian lab, tanah dasar memnuhi syarat sebagai subgrade pada perkerasan jalan dimana CBR >5% pada titik 01, dan titik 04. Sedangkan pada 4 titik lainnya tidak memenuhi nilai CBR nya sehingga diperlukan pemadatan khusus dilpangan.

The use of bamboo as building materials has occurred for a long period, especially in a simple construction system. Bamboo can be utilized as a building material due to its advantages. One of the advantages is that bamboo has a significantly low density so it can reduce the density of concrete whose main material is gravel. Gravel is a natural building material is formed from unconsolidated rock fragments, such as rock pieces or small rocks. Gravel is commonly found in Indonesia because there is a lot of availability. This research aims to utilize local bamboo resources as building materials. Bamboo is used as an alternative substitute for gravel aggregate in the concrete mixing. The research method was experimental laboratory work. The results showed that the use of bamboo as an aggregate can only be used in non-structures, this is because the rate of absorption of bamboo against water is quite high. While the compressive strength of the concrete produced by mixing 100 % bamboo aggregate has an average value of 3.09 MPa and mixing 50 % of bamboo has an average value of 6.01 MPa. Therefore, the quality of the concrete cannot be used for building structures, but only be used in non-structural buildings.

Dalam konstruksi jalan, salah satu bagian penting dari struktur lapisan perkerasan jalan yaitu tanah dasar (subgrade) yang berfungsi untuk mendukung konstruksi perkerasan diatasnya. Pada beberapa proyek pekerjaan pembukaan jalan baru di Kabupaten Pulau Morotai menggunakan tanah timbunan yang berasal dari Desa Daeo sebagai tanah dasar. Penggunaan bahan timbunan dari Desa Daeo ini perlu diketahui karakteristik dari tanah tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui klasifikasi jenis tanah timbunan Desa Daeo dan mengetahui karakteristik tanah sebagai bahan dari struktur perkerasan jalan dalam hal ini subgrade. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode pengujian di laboratorium. Pengujian bahan tanah timbunan berdasarkan Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018. Pengujian laboratorium untuk mengetahui karakteristik tanah timbunan diantaranya uji batas plastis dan indeks plastisitas tanah, uji batas cair tanah, uji analisis ukuran butir tanah, uji pemadatan standar proctor dan uji CBR laboratorium. Klasifikasi tanah mengunakan sistem klasifikasi USCS (Unified Soil Classification System). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanah timbunan pilihan termasuk dalam jenis tanah lanau (MH) berdasarkan sistem klasifikasi USCS dengan tingkat kompressibilitas tinggi (high compressibility). Sifat mekanis tanah yang diteliti berupa kepadatan maksimum dan nilai CBR menunjukkan bahwa tanah yang berasal dari Desa Daeo ini sebagai tanah timbunan pilihan yang memenuhi spesifikasi umum Bina Marga tahun 2018, dimana nilai CBR desain 21% dengan nilai berat volume maksimum (d maks) sebesar 1,907 gr/cm3.

Simpang ruas jalan depan kantor samsat Kabupaten Pulau Morotai merupakan pertemuan beberapa ruas jalan dari atau menuju pusat kota Daruba yang bisa dikatakan jalur ekonomi perdagangan, pendidikan, dan perkantoran. Simpang tiga di ruas jalan ini terlihat pada jam tertentu arus lalu lintasnya cukup sibuk. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui volume lalu lintas dan kinerja simpang di Simpang tiga jalan SBY depan Kantor Samsat Kabupaten Pulau Morotai. Kesimpulan penelitian pada simpang tak bersinyal depan kantor samsat kabupaten pulau morotai dari hasil perhitungan memiliki nilai derajat kejauhan 0,13. Derajat kejenuhan simpang masih memenuhi batas kinerja yang baik dengan nilai DJ <0,8. Kondisi pertemuan simpang pada jalan minor dan mayor dengan volume lalu lintas masih terdapat banyak kekurangan yang dapat berpotensi konflik meskipun memiliki kinerja yang baik. Kapasitas jalan depan kantor samsat direkomendasikan untuk dipasang lampu lalu lintas demi mengoptimalkan kinerja simpang ruas jalan tersebut.

Pelabuhan Fery di Kabupaten Pulau Morotai satu-satunya berada di Desa Juanga Kecamatan Morotai Selatan. Pelabuhan Fery Desa Juanga merupakan akses satu-satunya transportasi orang/barang ke Kabupaten Halmahera Utara. Pelayanan Kapal Fery Desa Juanga hanya melayani Rute Morotai –Tobelo. Dalam aspek kepuasan pengguna sarana prasarana transportasi laut Pelabuhan Fery masih dinilai cukup karena masih dilakukan pembenahan-pembenahan dari infrastruktur terminal meskipun cenderung terlambat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui dan mengevaluasi tingkat kepuasan penumpang kapal terhadap pelayanan pelabuhan fery desa juanga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode survey. Dimana data yang didapat berupa data hasil observasi lapangan dan juga wawancara. Responden merupakan populasi penumpang kapal di pelabuhan fery desa juanga. Jumlah penumpang kapal fery dalam satu bulan diakumulasi cukup banyak sehinga untuk keefektifan pengambilan data penentuan jumlah responden menggunakan teknik sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan data uji validitas, sebanyak 23 pernyataan dinyatakan valid dari 102 orang responden. Uji reliabilitas dilakukan dengan melihat hasil nilai croncbach’s alpha > 0,6. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa dengan variabel tersebut nilai alpha 0,741. Sehingga semua variabel dinyatakan reliable atau tingkat reliable sangat tinggi. Tingkat pelayanan pelabuhan ferry Desa Juanga ditinjau berdasarkan persepsi penumpang dengan beberapa kategori penilaian yang dijadikan variabel diantaranya keandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), kepedulian (emphaty), dan bukti fisik (tangible). Dari 5 variabel pelayanan, secara menyeluruh kepuasan penumpang lebih besar pada variabel kepedulian (emphaty) dimana kecenderungan variabel berada pada kategori sangat tinggi sebanyak 78,43%.

Imam Lastori Daruba Port is one of the piers that serves local loading and unloading routes located in Morotai Island Regency which is a type of regional port. The purpose of this writing is to know the evaluation of the implementation of iso 14001 environmental management system in imam lastori port of morotai island district, the research method used is data collection by way of interview and field observation by way of descriptive analysis. Thus the implementation of environmental management system must be in accordance with Law No. 32 of 2009 on Environmental Protection and Management.
