Abstract

The issue of gender is one of the main issues in current development, especially in the development of human resources. Women's empowerment is a step a group of actors takes to create more decent living conditions and obtain their rights as human beings in development. This research was conducted to determine the role of women in implementing women's empowerment programs through the Women's School. In conducting this study, the researcher used the ACTORS theory offered by Sarah Cook and Sara H. Longwe's gender analysis. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, where in collecting data, the researcher uses in-depth interviews (interviews), observation, and documentation. The study results concluded that implementing the Women's Empowerment Program through Women's Schools followed the success indicators from the Actors theory perspective. In the view of the actor's theory, each hand is proven to increase the role of Kesambenkulon village women. The output or result of the empowerment program is also the output or result desired by the women of the Kesambenkulon village, namely in the form of increasing Self Respect, Self Confidence, and Self Reliance. Meanwhile, viewed from the gender analysis perspective of Sara H. Longwe, it shows that the women's empowerment program carried out to increase the role of village women through the Women's School in Kesambenkulon village has reached a high level, namely the Control level. Abstract

This study aims to explore various patterns of family resilience influenced by diverse interpretations of fiqh within Javanese coastal Muslim communities. The significance of this study is underscored by the impact of climate change along the north coast of Java, particularly due to the cross-national toll road project, which causes tidal flooding in Bonang, Demak, affecting family resilience in the coastal areas of Java. This qualitative research employs a socio-anthropological approach alongside Islamic law. Data were collected from religious leaders (kyai), village officials, and Muslim families across four coastal villages in Bonang, Demak, Central Java. The data collection techniques included semi-structured interviews and direct observation, supplemented by relevant documents and references. The research identifies three primary findings: Firstly, various forms of resilience among coastal Muslim families in North Java are uniquely shaped by the impacts of climate change. Secondly, the effects of climate change have fostered a new understanding that emphasizes integration and equality in the rights and responsibilities of husbands and wives. Thirdly, the family resilience models of coastal communities in the islands of Java are based on interpretations of family fiqh influenced by economic capacity, education, and social networks. This study contributes to the development of a dynamic understanding of fiqh that impacts the resilience of coastal community families in adapting to the challenges posed by climate change. Further recommendations include strengthening the economic capacity of coastal families through the provision of progressive education to enhance the religious and social resilience networks of coastal Muslim families.

It involved data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawings. The research results show that PAI teacher leaders in several high schools play a role in leading their students to achieve the best achievements in student competitions. Apart from that, PAI teacher leaders have the opportunity to develop their leadership abilities if they are supported by a school principal who distributes his leadership roles well and has a democratic leadership style in leading the school so that teachers are involved in decision-making.

Abstract

The spread of moneylenders (rentenir), online lending (pinjol), and online gambling (judol) in Central Java threatens the resilience of Muslim families both economically and through addictive behaviors. In rural areas such as Winong and several sub-districts in Pati, rentenir remain the primary source of financing for farmers and micro-entrepreneurs who are excluded from formal financial services, while judol proliferates through local networks and simple mobile devices. In contrast, in urban areas such as Genuk and several sub-districts in Semarang, pinjol has expanded rapidly due to digital penetration, lenient requirements, and aggressive promotion, typically used for urgent needs and non-productive consumption. Field data indicate that 38% of Muslim families in Pati have dealt with rentenir, 21% have engaged in judol, while 41% of Semarang families accessed pinjol in the past three years. This research uses a phenomenology approach, viewed from the perspective of maqasid sharia, covering two villages in Winong-Pati and two sub-districts in Genuuk -Semarang City Data were gathered through in-depth interviews with 24 informants—including household heads, spouses, religious leaders, and local officials—supplemented by participatory observation to capture family coping strategies under economic strain. Using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model, data analysis involved reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings highlight two points. First, the practices of loan sharks, pinjol, and judol significantly undermine family resilience across economic stability, marital harmony, child-rearing quality, and socio-religious engagement. Second, although rural and urban contexts differ in forms of involvement, consequences converge on psychological distress, domestic conflict, weakened parenting, and declining social participation. These results underscore the relevance of maqasid al-shariah in protecting families from riba and gharar, reinforcing the ethical foundation of fiqh muamalah
