Abstract

Protecting the environment cannot be done by just one or two people or agencies but by all sides. It is the responsibility of us all to improve and change the condition of our environment. Thus, it is necessary to instill the attitude and character of caring and loving the environment from early on, especially in the young generation. The purpose of this study is to determine knowledge, attitudes, and environmental actions on pro-environmental behavior in the community of Sungai Miai Climate Village, as well as analyze the influence among knowledge, attitudes, and environmental actions on pro-environmental behavior of the Community of Climate Village Sungai Miai, Banjarmasin City. The sample of this research is a census taking all the people of the climate village who participate in the activities. Data collection with Likert scale questionnaire method and data analysis using SEM test through Lisrel 88 program. The results of the research data showed that environmental knowledge affects pro-environmental behavior, which is known as the effect of environmental knowledge with a t-value of 2.10 and an estimated coefficient of 0.31. That value is significant because the t-value> 1.96 is supported by the field facts that the community of Sungai Miai climate village often conducts counseling, training and socialization about the environment at their integrated service post. While the attitude has a t-value of -0.09 and an estimated coefficient of -3.30. The action value is 0.09 and the estimated coefficient is 3.23. This value is deemed insignificant because the t-value is not > 1.96 and the estimated value does not qualify as sufficiently high, there is no correlation between latent variables with latent variables of pro-environmental behavior. However, attitudes and actions have no impact on pro-environmental behavior due to a lack of public awareness of the environment and the lack of environmental facilities in their area.

Abstract

The largest flood condition in South Kalimantan Province occurred in 2021. The worst flooded area is Banjar Regency with 27,249 fatalities. Floods also affected the agriculture and fisheries sectors, causing agricultural land productivity to decrease to 87,598 tons from 2021 to 2020. A total of 1,838 aquaculture businesses suffered losses of up to 70 billion rupiah. The causes of flooding do not only come from natural factors but can come from other factors such as a lack of knowledge of flood mitigation, resulting in huge losses for the community. Previous research states that the factors that influence flood disaster mitigation are the level of education and income. This study aims to determine the factors that influence flood mitigation knowledge in Banjar Regency communities using the binary logistic regression method. The results of the study provide differences from previous studies, namely the environmental factor with category 1, the implementation of environmental management by the community affects flood mitigation knowledge with a p value (0.027) < α (0.05) and a value of W (2.2198) > Z_table (1.960). The odds ratio value shows that the probability of the Banjar Regency community having flood mitigation knowledge is 2.79 times greater than other variable categories. The model explains an influence of 31.6% with an AIC value of 125. The respondents flood mitigation knowledge in managing the environment includes all types and stages of flood disaster mitigation related to local wisdom in the respondents location, namely several terms such as "Apar-Apar, Jukung Terpal, Galangan, Kelambu Kolam". There are still some things that need to be maximized for flood mitigation knowledge, namely the formation of disaster resilient villages in Martapura City, East and West Sub-districts. Dissemination of information on climate-smart agriculture training to farmers. Realization of temporary waste bin facilities in Banjar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the characteristics of the liquid sludge produced in IPA 1 A unit Yani PTAM Bandarmasih and analyze the effect of different doses of anionic polymer flocculants on the parameters of the quality standards of the Minister of Health Number 32 of 2017 for sanitary hygiene. This research was carried out using the experimental design experimental method in the Design Randomized Group consisting of 6 (six) treatments. Analysis of the data used includes identifying the characteristics of liquid sludge in situ. Analyzing the effect of different doses of anionic polymer by testing the jar test method with several combination treatments of anionic polymer flocculants on the decrease in parameters according to Permenkes Number 32 of 2017 will be analyzed using analysis of variance. Multiple regression equations to provide information about the relationship between the dependent variable and one or more independent variables used in the study. From the results of the study of Anionic Polymer Flocculants Using the Jar Test Method for Utilizing Liquid Sludge of PT Air Drinking Bandarmasih (Perseroda) it can be concluded that 1) Liquid sludge of PTAM Bandarmasih which has not been managed is still not suitable for sanitation hygiene water because there are several parameters whose values have not been meet the quality standards of Permenkes No. 32 of 2017, 2) After the addition of anionic polymer flocculants, the value of all parameters decreased, but what met the overall quality standard was a dose of 10 ppm.

Abstract

Coal mining activities using the open pit mining method can affect depreciation of the quality of the surrounding environment, one of which has an impact on reducing the classification criteria for soil chemical properties. The soil organic matter shrinks after being mined due to the lifting of the top layer due to the dismantling of the coal covering material. The research objective is to analyze the effect of mining activities on soil classification in the disposal area. The research method is descriptive analysis. Sampling and observation in Cintapuri Village, Cintapuri Darussalam District, Banjar Regency. Soil classification in Disposal 1, soil pH is classified as "Very Acid" to "Sour", C-organic is classified as "Very Low", N-Total is classified as "Very Low" to "Low", phosphorus is classified as "Very Low", Cation-exchange capacity (CEC) is classified as "moderate". Disposal 2, Soil pH is classified as "acid", C-organic is classified as "Very Low", N-Total is classified as "Very Low" to "Very Low", phosphorus is classified as "Very Low", CEC is classified as "Medium" and "High". Based on the research, the existence of coal mining activities causes the chemical properties of the soil in the disposal area as low criteria.
