Abstract

Land is a very complex material. We must improve physical and mechanical properties of the soil if it is found that the soil does not meet the technical requirements to be used to support buildings or roads. Therefore, before using it as a support building, the ground must be stabilized. One method for stabilizing the soil is chemical stabilization as an effort to increase strength, reduce declination, and improving physical and mechanical properties of others. In this study, we use chemical stabilization method to perform a series tests of physical properties and compressive strength test on the land unfettered native land and soil soaked with a chemical solution between the Na2C03, CaCl2, KOH, and Na2Si03 (Water-glass) as much as 2 g / liter for 24 hours at the Laboratory of Soil Mechanics of Unisma Bekasi and Soil Mechanics Laboratory of the Public Works Department of Irrigation at Central Jakarta Physical properties of a series of tests concluded that the soil has a high development and graded poorly because it does not meet the criteria for the coefficient of gradation and uniformity coefficient. Land, including the type CH (inorganic clay with high plasticity), and within the category of very soft clay and a bit sensitive. The test results unleashed a strong compressive (qu), the highest value obtained on clay soaked in a solution ofpotassium hydroxide (KOH) 2 g/liter is equal to 84.21% of the value ofquof original land

Abstract

Future technological developments are now demanding concrete action to improve the performance of concrete produced, both in terms of quality, materials and how to apply, it is not free from the demands and needs of the community towards a more advanced infrastructure facilities. It is therefore necessary to find an alternative as the base material is replaced with a grain of sand concrete waste ceramics. Attempts to utilize the waste form ceramic grains will not only reduce environmental problems but it can provide economic value for development, as well as efforts to conserve natural resources. The study was conducted at the Concrete Laboratory of the University of Islam "45" Bekasi using the IS and ISO standards, the quality of K-175 concrete plans. Level of addition of ceramic granules 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% of the weight of sand. Press firmly on the treatment of testing performed on concrete specimens at the age of seven days, 14 days, and 28 days. The test results of concrete compressive strength at 28 days of treatment, showed normal concrete compressive strength (•without mixture of ceramic granules^ is 187.21 kg/cm2. There was a decrease the value of concrete compressive strength of concrete on the ceramic granules are added to the mixture of 5% is 147.99 kg/cm2, the mixture of 10% is 140.08 kg/cm2, the mixture of 15% is 131.40 kg/cm2, the mixture of 20% is 124.43 kg/cm2.

Abstract

Bambu mempunyai sifat mekanik yang baik karena hampir menyerupai sifat mekanik baja. Bambu dapat digunakan pada konstruksi bangunan sipil sebagai material alternatif pengganti baja seperti perkerasan kaku jalan raya (rigid pavement). Pada rigid pavement baja digunakan sebagai tulangan yang berfungsi untuk menahan retak susut akibat suhu dan menambah kapasitas beban jalan. Penelitian ini menggunakan bambu pada rigid pavement. Spesimen yang dibuat adalah meshing tulangan bambu dan baja dengan panjang 5 m dan lebar 3,5 m, diameter 12 mm dan tulangan dipasang pada jarak setiap 100 mm. Meshing tersebut masingmasing dipasang pada tiap segmen jalan yang berukuran panjangxlebarx tinggi yaitu 3,5m x 5m x 0,3m pada kedalaman 20 cm dari permukaan jalan. Uji dilakukan dengan menggunakan beban kendaraan yang divariasikan mulai dari 1000 Kg sampai dengan 14000 Kg dan diamati responnya seperti defleksi, regangan, tegangan. Defleksi terbesar pada perkerasan rigid pavement tulangan bambu adalah 0,6 mm pada beban 9323 Kg. Tegangan maksimum yang dihasilkan pada tulangan baja memanjang dan melintang adalah 1062,6 Kg/cm2 dan 686,7Kg/cm2 dengan nilai E baja 2100000Kg/cm2 , sedangkan pada bambu tegangan terbesar yang dihasilkan adalah 118,62Kg/ cm2 dan 86,87Kg/ cm2 dengan nilai E bambu 313810Kg/cm2 pada kondisi ini tegangan yang terjadi masih dalam batas elastis. Abstract

Sifat getas beton akan membuat bangunan-bangunan yang terbuat dari beton bertulang seperti gedung dan jembatan apabila diberi beban berlebih mengalami keruntuhan mendadak, untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka beton perlu diperkuat dengan suatu material tambahan yang dapat dipasang secara internal maupun eksternal.  Penggunaan meshing kawat dan mortar beton sebagai external confinement diprediksi akan meningkatkan sifat mekanik beton, selain itu juga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daktilitas dan kapasitas beton, namun tetap mempertahankan luasan penampang beton dan mampu menghasilkan struktur bangunan yang berumur panjang, efisien dalam penggunaan sumber daya alam dan mampu menahan berbagai beban yang bekerja padanya, termasuk beban berlebih. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen di laboratorium menggunakan bahan mortar beton dengan tebal lapisan 0,5mm dan kawat AWG diameter 0,45mm yang akan melapisi silinder beton berdimensi 150mm x 300mm yang berfungsi sebagai external confinement. Rasio volume penggunaan mortar dan kawat yang digunakan  terhadap volume silinder terdiri dari empat variasi yaitu  0%, 0,1%,  0,2%, 0,3% dengan dibuat tiga benda uji pada setiap variasinya, uji yang dilakukan terhadap silinder beton adalah uji kuat tekan beton dan regangannya dimana hasil uji akan memperbandingkan keefektifan penggunaan mortar beton dan meshing kawat sebagai external confinement. Hasil uji kuat tekan menunjukan peningkatan sebesar 16,227% terhadap kuat tekan beton normal pada komposisi 0,2% meshing kawat dan peningkatan sebesar 6,967% terhadap kuat tekan beton normal pada komposisi 0,1% meshing kawat.

Abstract

The Sadang River is a primary channel in Cibitung Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, which functions to channel water from several secondary channels, including those in Wanajaya Village and Wanasari Village. The existing conditions show that the Sadang River is prone to overflowing during the rainy season and is unable to optimally support the irrigation needs of the surrounding agricultural land. Therefore, a redesign of the channel system is necessary, including increasing the river's storage capacity through channel dimension improvements based on peak flow rates derived from hydrological analysis, as well as integrated watershed management efforts. The objective of this study is to analyse the river flow discharge in the Sadang River, which is divided into four segments, and to address the river flow discharge. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a hydrological and hydraulic analysis approach. The hydrological analysis process was carried out by determining the average rainfall and analysing the flood discharge using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) method. Subsequently, measurements of the existing channel dimensions were taken, spatial analysis was conducted using ArcMap 10.8 software, and the channel dimensions were re-planned based on the planned peak discharge results. The research results show that the existing flow rate of the Sadang River is 954.37 m3/sec, and the analysis of the peak flow rate of the Sadang River with a 10-year return period is 6107.47 m3/sec and a 25-year return period is 7513.01 m3/sec, with the same peak time of 2 hours. It is necessary to plan with a rectangular channel, the dimensions of the channel base width (b) = 28.7m and channel height (h) = 10m because the river channel is unable to accommodate the flow of flood discharge.

Abstract

Teachers need additional knowledge of quantitative data processing using statistical support software because of the diverse educational backgrounds of teachers such as education science, management science, although there are also those whose educational background is mathematics and natural sciences (MIPA). In addition, the level of awareness of teachers to study statistics for processing quantitative data is still low and is considered less important. Solutions that can be given to this community service activity include organizing training on the use of statistical support software to provide understanding and skills in the use of such software, including Microsoft Ms.Excel and Matlab Mobile in an effective and efficient manner. This can be done through the mentoring process in this activity and will be followed by other advanced trainings. The results of this training, based on a survey using an online mentimeter, showed that it was very useful and the participants wanted to continue this training with the theme of using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
