Abstract

This study is to determine and identify the implementation of the concept of understanding tolerance in the plurality of people of Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang Regency. The village community is a society with a very high level of plurality; various religious cultures and feelings exist in the village. However, harmony and mutual respect are evident in everyday life. Differences are not a reason for the village community to be hostile to each other, but differences are considered wealth to be grateful for. So, in some ways, the village community carries out activities and life together regardless of the differences that exist. The approach used in this study is qualitative. The paradigm is phenomenological or interpretive. A qualitative approach is a paradigm of Natural Research, which is to find a theory by pulling it from the beginning of nature, that is, from data that comes from the real world. The researchers took the research location in Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung district, Lumajang Regency. The results of this study show that all religions tend to have claims of absolutism, whether Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, or Judaism. Claims of monotheism that are particularist-subjective will impact inter-religious conflict, and the competition will be heightened if several strong and particularistic religious organizations coexist.

Abstract

Jember is one of the education cities in Indonesia where there are various universities there. So that students in Jember Regency are required to have a strong mentality and condition in dealing with environmental changes that occur there. Most changes in the surrounding environment can lead to bad things so that this can affect the future of students as the next generation of the nation. Like the many acts of pornography and pornography and the existence of radical Islamic thoughts among students, this can result in the erosion of Islamic values and faith in higher education circles. Pondok Pesantren, which incidentally is a place for authentic Islamic scientific treasures, can be a solution to the problems that have occurred so far. Therefore, this study reveals concrete evidence of the influence of optimizing cultural and religious activities in the context of internalizing ibadurrahman values which are part of the vision and mission of the caretaker of Al Jauhar Islamic Boarding School, namely KH. Shodiq Mahmud. Based on the results of the study, that there are several activities contained in the twelve characteristics of ibadurrahman . The values of ibadurrahman are expected to be able to influence santri (students) in strengthening Islamic values and achieving life goals that are blessed by Allah SWT

Abstract

The objective of this study is to ascertain and delineate the manner in which the concept of tolerance is understood and practised by the diverse population of Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang Regency. The village community is a society with a high level of plurality, characterised by the coexistence of diverse religious cultures and sentiments. Nevertheless, there is a clear indication of harmony and mutual respect in everyday life. The village community does not view differences as a cause for conflict; rather, they are regarded as a source of diversity and richness. Consequently, the village community engages in activities and pursuits collectively, irrespective of the discrepancies that exist. This study employs a qualitative approach. The research paradigm is phenomenological or interpretive. A qualitative approach is a paradigm of natural research, which entails developing a theory by drawing upon data derived from the real world. The research location was Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung district, Lumajang Regency. The findings of this study indicate that all religions espouse absolutist claims, whether Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, or Judaism. Particularist-subjective monotheistic claims are likely to exacerbate inter-religious conflict, particularly when multiple strong and particularistic religious organisations coexist.

Abstract

The debate regarding religion and science is something that is interesting to continue to study. The conflict between religion and science is getting hotter when scientists consider themselves rational with the hope that they will uncover the fundamental laws that govern behavior, matter and style. On the other hand, religionists with views that are irrational and obedient to religious dogmas claim to contain truths that cannot be changed and modified. Interestingly, there are Muslim scientists who try to respond to the development of modern science from a different point of view, namely Nidhal Guessoum. The presence of Nidhal Guessoum in the discourse arena to integrate religion and science has enriched thinking in the Islamic world. This study aims to determine the construction of religion and science as well as the relationship between religion and science in Nidhal Guessoum's quantum theory. Using a qualitative research method, the literature examines the contents of the book, the substance of the discussion, and the focus of the studies and thoughts of the figures. The objects are books and research journals that contain Nidhal Guessoum's thoughts on religion and science. And finally the findings in this study that Nidhal guessoum specifically constructs how Islam views scientific theories including: Islam and Cosmology, Islam and Design Arguments, Islam and Anthropic Principles, Islam and Evolution in addition to constructing religion and science Nidhal Guessoum also offers theories quantum which is based on three principles, namely the principle of not contradicting, layered interpretation, and theistic falsification.TRANSLATE with x EnglishArabicHebrewPolishBulgarianHindiPortugueseCatalanHmong DawRomanianChinese SimplifiedHungarianRussianChinese TraditionalIndonesianSlovakCzechItalianSlovenianDanishJapaneseSpanishDutchKlingonSwedishEnglishKoreanThaiEstonianLatvianTurkishFinnishLithuanianUkrainianFrenchMalayUrduGermanMalteseVietnameseGreekNorwegianWelshHaitian CreolePersian //  TRANSLATE with COPY THE URL BELOW Back EMBED THE SNIPPET BELOW IN YOUR SITE Enable collaborative features and customize widget: Bing Webmaster PortalBack//

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of a project-based learning model on improving students’ religious character. Although this learning model is known to effectively encourage active student engagement, its impact on the religious dimension has rarely been examined. The research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. The sample consisted of 60 junior high school students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a religious character questionnaire covering dimensions of worship obedience, noble character, and tolerance. The results indicate a significant increase in religious character among students who learned using the project-based model compared to those who received conventional methods. This finding reflects the effectiveness of the method in helping students understand and internalize religious values. The collaborative factor in carrying out projects served as a key element supporting these results. Activities such as group discussions and peer evaluations encouraged students to share positive values. This study provides practical recommendations for teachers to implement project-based approaches to strengthen students’ character. However, the study is limited by its sample scope, which was confined to a single school. For broader generalization of the findings, further research encompassing a wider range of settings is needed. Overall, these results show that project-based learning is an effective approach for shaping students’ religious character.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem in the educational environment that can damage students' psychology and create an unhealthy learning atmosphere. As the main instrument in character education, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has great potential to prevent and overcome bullying behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in building students' characters that respect the values of compassion, tolerance, and responsibility. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to understand the implementation of religious values in the context of formal education. Data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with PAI teachers, and curriculum analysis. The results showed that the implementation of Islamic values through PAI was able to increase students' empathy and create a harmonious school environment. The study also found that PAI teaching that is integrated with daily life is more effective than teaching methods that are only theoretical. The recommendations of this study include teacher training, curriculum updates, and community-based holistic approaches to support bullying prevention in schools.
