Abstract

This research focused on the development of pesantren, especially in the institutional and educational aspects using a social capital perspective. The pesantren used as a research site is Pesantren of Miftahul Ulum, Suren, Jember. To delve into the focus of this research, the researcher, thus, tried to understand and interpret the development of the pesantren from the perspective of social capital. To achieve these objectives, this research was conducted by using a qualitative approach with the type of phenomenology using a single site design. The data collection technique used was participant observation, so that researcher could participate in every Islamic boarding school's institutional and educational programs. This research finds that social capital is able to transform pesantren from institution with an isolative-traditionalist paradigmatic system to a modernist synthesis. Even the education system is from a dichotomous to a non-dichotomous system (a pattern of education that is oriented towards spiritualistic-humanist values); theocentric to theoanthropocentric pattern. This social capital is also a potential for pesantren as spiritual patrons and the vanguard of the source of values and morality of the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study is to determine and identify the implementation of the concept of understanding tolerance in the plurality of people of Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang Regency. The village community is a society with a very high level of plurality; various religious cultures and feelings exist in the village. However, harmony and mutual respect are evident in everyday life. Differences are not a reason for the village community to be hostile to each other, but differences are considered wealth to be grateful for. So, in some ways, the village community carries out activities and life together regardless of the differences that exist. The approach used in this study is qualitative. The paradigm is phenomenological or interpretive. A qualitative approach is a paradigm of Natural Research, which is to find a theory by pulling it from the beginning of nature, that is, from data that comes from the real world. The researchers took the research location in Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung district, Lumajang Regency. The results of this study show that all religions tend to have claims of absolutism, whether Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, or Judaism. Claims of monotheism that are particularist-subjective will impact inter-religious conflict, and the competition will be heightened if several strong and particularistic religious organizations coexist.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to ascertain and delineate the manner in which the concept of tolerance is understood and practised by the diverse population of Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang Regency. The village community is a society with a high level of plurality, characterised by the coexistence of diverse religious cultures and sentiments. Nevertheless, there is a clear indication of harmony and mutual respect in everyday life. The village community does not view differences as a cause for conflict; rather, they are regarded as a source of diversity and richness. Consequently, the village community engages in activities and pursuits collectively, irrespective of the discrepancies that exist. This study employs a qualitative approach. The research paradigm is phenomenological or interpretive. A qualitative approach is a paradigm of natural research, which entails developing a theory by drawing upon data derived from the real world. The research location was Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung district, Lumajang Regency. The findings of this study indicate that all religions espouse absolutist claims, whether Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, or Judaism. Particularist-subjective monotheistic claims are likely to exacerbate inter-religious conflict, particularly when multiple strong and particularistic religious organisations coexist.

Abstract

:  This research aims to explore the management of moral education and skills in the 21st century in an effort to increase students' competitiveness in the digital world, especially in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) in SD IT Kuntum Insan Cemerlang, Bondoowoso. Through qualitative methods involving interviews with principals, teachers, and students, as well as observations in educational institutions, the study found that the integration of moral education with 21st century skills not only shapes students' character but also prepares them to face the challenges that arise from the use of advanced technology. Values such as responsibility, honesty, and empathy are recognized as essential foundations in the ethical use of technology, while skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication are essential skills needed in the digital age.Despite implementation challenges, such as limited technology infrastructure and lack of training for teachers, the study also shows opportunities for development through collaboration with external parties and communities. Educational policies that support the integration of moral and skills education in the 21st century are essential to create an inclusive and responsive learning environment. The findings of this study confirm the need for a holistic approach in education that not only focuses on academic aspects, but also on the development of students' character and social awareness, so that they are ready to contribute positively in an increasingly complex and technology-based society.TRANSLATE with x EnglishArabicHebrewPolishBulgarianHindiPortugueseCatalanHmong DawRomanianChinese SimplifiedHungarianRussianChinese TraditionalIndonesianSlovakCzechItalianSlovenianDanishJapaneseSpanishDutchKlingonSwedishEnglishKoreanThaiEstonianLatvianTurkishFinnishLithuanianUkrainianFrenchMalayUrduGermanMalteseVietnameseGreekNorwegianWelshHaitian CreolePersian //  TRANSLATE with COPY THE URL BELOW Back EMBED THE SNIPPET BELOW IN YOUR SITE Enable collaborative features and customize widget: Bing Webmaster PortalBack//

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning method in improving students' engagement, collaboration, understanding, and retention in the subject of Islamic Cultural History (IHR). The study also identified the challenges faced during the implementation of the method, such as students' adaptation to new roles, ability variation, time management, and group dynamics. The research was conducted through a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach in several cycles, involving observations, interviews, and analysis of student learning outcomes. The results showed that the Jigsaw method significantly increased student engagement, build teamwork, and strengthened social skills, such as communication and conflict resolution. Data showed an increase in material comprehension and long-term retention through collaborative interaction and group discussion. The study also identified implementation challenges, such as students' initial resistance to active roles, uneven contributions within groups, and time management constraints. Mitigation strategies, such as gradual guidance, provision of additional materials, and structured time management, proved effective in overcoming these obstacles. This study makes a practical contribution to the educational literature by confirming the effectiveness of the Jigsaw method while offering solutions to implementation challenges. The implications of this study suggest that the active role of teachers is crucial in ensuring the success of this method, as well as encouraging the application of the Jigsaw method in broader and diverse educational contexts. This research also opens up opportunities for further exploration of the application of the Jigsaw method in other subjects and groups of students with special needs.
