Abstract

Technological developments, including the internet, and learning opportunities are increasing. This also encourages the development of learning strategies and models. The blended learning model is applied in almost all universities in Indonesia and the world. With so many universities in Indonesia, implementing blended learning is a challenging thing because it requires a lot of technological preparation and human resources. This research aims to identify factors, develop a model, and evaluate the model to see the readiness and acceptance of technology for adopting social media in blended learning among private higher education institutes students in Indonesia. The population of this research is students from private higher education institutes in West Java, Indonesia, who are directly involved in using blended learning and social media. This quantitative research used a research instrument with five-Likert’s scale. The research population was 663,307, with a sample of 384 students spread across West Java. The contribution of this research is to make a significant contribution to the theoretical framework by expanding and refining existing concepts, providing a more comprehensive understanding of the readiness and acceptance factors for the adoption of social media in blended learning so that it has the potential to provide information to learning planners at private higher education institutes in West Java, Indonesia to help make the right decisions and optimize blended learning planning using social media technology. These findings statistically explain that 19 of 31 the hypotheses are the accepted ones. Moreover, nine of 12 variables influenced the readiness and acceptance of social media technology in blended learning based on the student perception among the private higher education institutions. They were the technological literacy factor, perceived validity, perceived trust, and technology readiness factors, namely optimism and Innovativeness, and technology acceptance factors, namely perceived effectiveness, perceived easy to use, intention to use and usage behaviour.

Abstract

Live streaming has become one of the most prominent digital phenomena in recent years, changing the way individuals interact, consume content and shop online. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence audience engagement in live streaming, including audience motivation, the role of social interaction, technological features, platform distribution, and popular genres. Through a systematic literature review approach, 27 articles from relevant ScienceDirect and DOAJ databases were selected for analysis. The study results show that audience engagement is mainly influenced by parasocial interaction (PSI), entertainment-based motivation (hedonic value), and practical benefits (utilitarian value). Technologies such as live chat, gifting, and data-driven recommendation systems strengthen viewing duration and audience loyalty. In addition, platforms such as Twitch dominate the gaming and esports genres, while TikTok Live thrives in the e-commerce space. New genres such as VTubers and travel offer opportunities to attract a wider audience with avatar-based interaction approaches and virtual experiences. The research also identified gaps in the literature, including a lack of studies on local platforms, new genres, and the impact of innovative technologies such as AR/VR. This study makes an academic contribution by summarizing key findings and providing strategic guidance for platform developers, streamers and businesses in creating more engaging and effective live streaming experiences.

Abstract

The assessment of the use of information systems has been carried out by many researchers. This research was conducted in Private Universities in Indonesia, which currently involve many information systems in many ways, especially those related to the management of Higher Education, by measuring the readiness and usability of the use of information systems with models that I build from the integration of two models. The results of the measurement of this study were obtained from the distribution of questionnaires, there were 47% of respondents who filled 61-80% of the level of IS usage and 68% of respondents stated their readiness in the level of readiness to use IS. The stage consists of evaluating reflective measurement models and structural model assessments. Evaluating reflective measurement in evaluating internal consistency reliability using Composite Reliability, Reliability Indicator, Convergent Validity, and Discriminant Validity, finally concluded that the use of the Readiness and Usability integration model can be forwarded to a more complex research stage and can use the questionnaire.

Abstract

The success of implementing an Information System (IS) depends on how the system is run by its users. User readiness plays an essential role in ensuring the successful implementation of new technology or system. To improve the quality of health services, the South Tangerang City Health Center has implemented the Health Center Management Information System (SIMPUS), but it is not following its objectives. The implementation of SIMPUS further hampers the smooth running of health services and the performance of the Puskesmas. This study aims to understand the level of user acceptance of SIMPUS implementation and explore the factors that influence it. The study used the Technology Readiness Acceptance Model (TRAM) and qualitative methods to explore data that could not be obtained from quantitative research by collecting interview data and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results show that the Technology Readiness Index factor influences the dimensions of the Technology Acceptance Model. Perceived usefulness significantly affects the intention to use SIMPUS to encourage acceptance of SIMPUS implementation. In contrast, insecurity does not affect perceived usefulness in SIMPUS use because users have not optimally used SIMPUS

Abstract

Prior social computing studies described that the performance of technology products is about how the product use benefits the users, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). To have an impact, ensuring how AI is used is a prerequisite after the development. Furthermore, its use is also influenced by how users accept AI. This study aimed to develop an acceptance and success model of AI use in the higher education world from the user perspective, to decompose the model into its instrument level, and to test the validity and reliability of the research instrument. The researchers developed the model by adopting and combining the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Information System Success Model (ISSM) and adapting the proposed model in the context of AI use in higher education learning. The measurement items were derived from definitions of the variables and indicators of the model. The instrument was tested sequentially using triangulation methods. The quantitative testing was online survey with about 51 respondents and the qualitative one was interview involving five experts. This study may contribute methodologically as one of the guidance for novice scholars in similar works. It may relate to the clarity of the research procedure and the implementation of the mixed testing methods. Of course, the assumptions, samples, and data used in the study cannot be generalized for the other studies. Referring to the model development, the proposed model may not cover the other factors related to the ethical, cultural, and organizational barriers for adopting AI. These barriers may also affect its acceptance and success. Thus, the adoption of the factors related the barriers may also be interesting to study further.
