Abstract

The aim of the research is to explore the value of home gardens at Abui community in Takpala Village, Alor Island,  a basis rural of rural tourism development. The value of home gardens was assessed in the perspective local people culture and perspectives. Therefore, ethnobotanical assessment using Important Cultural Value (ICS) index was implemented. Data was collected through field observation and interviews to local community. Survey was done in 15 house in Takpala settlements by identifying plant species in home gardens area. Interviews were performed to generate information regarding flora benefits in the daily life of local people in Takpala. Result of the study shows that homegarden has an important role among Abui community, especially in cultivating numerous plant species for daily life. Home garden has its potentiality to introduced as part of the tourism development attraction in Takpala Village.Keywords: conservation, economic plant, rural tourism, Timor home garden.

Abstract

Budidaya rumput laut yang dilakukan oleh petani rumput laut di Desa Allumang, Kecamatan Pantar Barat Laut, Kabupaten Alor, Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur, belum sepenuhnya memperhatikan biofouling yang tumbuh bersama rumput laut, baik pada thallus rumput laut maupun pada tali atau longline yang digunakan untuk mengikat benih rumput laut dari awal budidaya, serta setelah panen. Hal ini berdampak pada penurunan kualitas rumput laut karena pertumbuhannya terhambat akibat adanya kompetisi unsur hara antara rumput laut dan biofouling. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai penanganan biofouling sebagai pesaing dalam pengambilan sumberdaya (nutrisi) untuk meningkatkan mutu atau mutu rumput laut. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan, antara lain: (1) Tahap Persiapan; (2) tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan; (3) tahap evaluasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi ini ditujukan kepada pembudidaya rumput laut di Desa Alumang yang berjumlah 582 KK dan perkembangannya dikatakan berhasil secara signifikan yaitu 100% karena secara kognitif psikologis terjadi perubahan pola pikir petani mengenai penanganan biofouling. untuk meningkatkan mutu atau mutu rumput laut karena berkorelasi dengan mutu rumput laut yang dihasilkan. Selanjutnya untuk lebih memastikan pemahaman pembudidaya rumput laut, dilakukan contoh kegiatan demonstrasi penanganan biofouling di lokasi budidaya.

Abstract

The long effects of the storage process on the quality of red beans dodol.  Peanut butter is a processed product made of peanut flour, glutianous flour and other additives such as brown sugar, sugar, salt, and coconut milk. The study was aimed at identifying the effects of the long storage process on the quality of the dans’dodol determine the best treatment of red-bean storage. The study employed a complete random (RAL) method of design based on the use of red bean flour in the manufacture of 1 day, 2 days, 4 days, 6 days with each treatment repeated over 3 times to make it 12 experimental units. Analysis using fingerprints (Anova) suggests that the effects of treatment are profound real ( fi>1%) the texture, color, scent and Tate of red bean paste. Treatment A is highly desirable to the consumer, which is average against texture 4,00, color 4,00, scent 3,67, and taste 4,0.Keywards : Mreah bean flour, lunkhead, organical muffler.
