Abstract

Usahatani cengkeh merupakan salah satu usaha yang utama dari mayoritas petani di Desa Momalia II Kecamatan Posigadan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui respon petani cengkeh terhadap peranan Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi (pengamatan secara langsung) di lokasi penelitian. Data primer diperoleh dari petani cengkeh di Desa Momalia II Kecamatan Posigadan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan dengan jumlah sampel 71 petani cengkeh. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis secara deskriptif dan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon petani terhadap peran penyululuh sebagai motivator dan edukator pada kategori cukup baik, peran sebagai komunikator dan peran sebagai konsultan pada kategori baik, serta peran sebagai fasilitator pada kategori kurang baik

Abstract

Fishery is one of the sub-sectors holding role in the national economy. Fresh and frozen shrimps are the superior fishery export commodities contributing to Indonesia as the shrimp exporting country. Nevertheless, the volume of shrimp exports in Indonesia is still relatively low compared to that of other exporting countries. This is due to low productivity of shrimp farming in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian fresh and frozen shrimps in the main export destination countries as well as to analyze the factors influencing the competitiveness in those countries. The data used in this study were series of timeline for 120 months, from January 2005 to December 2014. Thus, the analysis of the competitiveness of Indonesian shrimps was conducted by using Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), while the analysis of the factors influencing competitiveness of Indonesia shrimps was performed by using the Error Correction Model (ECM). The results showed that the competitiveness of fresh shrimps of Indonesia in its export destination countries is still low compared that of frozen shrimps. One of the factors affecting the competitiveness of fresh shrimp exports from Indonesia to Malaysia in the short term is its total production. The competitiveness of Indonesia frozen shrimps in the United States is influenced by the level of competitiveness of the frozen shrimp exports to America on the previous period, export prices of Vietnamese frozen shrimps, and frozen shrimp production in Indonesia.Keywords: competitiveness, fresh shrimps, frozen shrimps, RCA

Abstract

Price fluctuations at the producer and consumer levels determine the performance of the maize market in Gorontalo Province. This will affect the decisions and ability of the corn marketing agencies involved in responding to price changes. The slow response of marketing agencies to changes in maize prices indicates inefficient market conditions in terms of prices. In addition, differences in market power between marketing agencies indicate inefficiencies in marketing maize from an operational perspective. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of 1) analyzing market integration and transmission of maize prices between producers and consumers, 2) analyzing the distribution of marketing margins in the maize marketing channels in Gorontalo Province. The research data used is in the form of weekly price data at the producer and consumer levels for 148 weeks, from March 2016 to March 2019 and added data from direct interviews with the marketing actors involved, namely farmers as many as 30 people, while sampling of traders was carried out by snowball sampling technique. Data analysis used the Asymmetric Error Correction Model (AECM), marketing margin and farmer share for each channel. The results showed that the transmission of maize prices at the producer and consumer level is symmetrical in the long run indicating market integration. The smallest marketing margin and the largest farmer share are in Channel III, where marketing is done directly to an exporter. Corn marketing in Gorontalo Province shows price transmission and market integration as well as high farmer share value in each channel, so it can be concluded that marketing is efficient.

Abstract

Pia Jagung Dumati is a business unit in Gorontalo Regency that uses raw materials from cornflour in the pia production process. The purpose of this study was to analyze the financial feasibility and sensitivity of developing Pia Jagung Dumati micro business, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency. The data used in the form of annual time series data include production data, production costs, and business benefits of Pia Jagung Dumati for the last 10 years from 2012 to 2021. The data analysis method uses financial feasibility criteria including Break-Even Point (BEP), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and B/C ratio. The sensitivity level is based on the switching value of changes in raw material costs, prices, and production of pia. The results showed that Pia Jagung Dumati was feasible to be developed with BEP unit is 308.969 pieces of pia/year, BEP rupiah is Rp. 386,210,938,-/year, positive NPV is Rp. 327,419,100,-, B/C ratio is 1,17, IRR is 14,75 per cent and payback period at 10 years and 4 months. Sensitivity analysis shows that the decreasing production of pia is more sensitive than increasing the cost of raw materials and decreasing prices of pia to the business feasibility of Pia Jagung Dumati. Therefore, it is necessary to increase sales by increasing production capacity in the context of developing Pia Jagung Dumati business.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pemasaran emping jagung pada IKM Al-Fazal di Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung di lokasi penelitian, serta wawancara kepada responden yang terdiri dari produsen dan konsumen menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis SWOT (Strenghts, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats)  digunakan untuk merumuskan alternatif strategi-strategi pemasaran emping jagung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan alternatif strategi-strategi berikut: Strategi SO: pemanfaatan teknologi, menekan biaya produksi, pemanfaatan sumber bahan baku yang melimpah. Strategi WO: memperbaiki tampilan kemasan dan label produk, meningkatkan promosi, kerjasama dengan pemerintah dalam pengembangan usaha. Strategi ST: meningkatkan kualitas dan variasi produk yang berdaya saing. Strategi WT: memiliki outlet-outlet di pusat perbelanjaan, memperbaiki catatan administrasi keuangan.

Abstract

Udang beku adalah salah satu produk ekspor utama perikanan Indonesia yang menghadapi fluktuasi harga dari waktu ke waktu. Harga udang beku Indonesia cenderung mengikuti pergerakan harga udang beku Amerika Serikat sebagai negara tujuan ekspor utama. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis (1) integrasi pasar udang beku antara Indonesia dan Amerika Serikat dan (2) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan harga ekspor udang beku Indonesia. Model yang digunakan adalah uji kointegrasi dan Error Correction Model (ECM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pasar udang beku Indonesia terintegrasi dengan Amerika Serikat. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi harga udang beku Indonesia secara signifikan adalah haga ekspor udang beku Indonesia periode sebelumnya, harga impor udang beku Amerika Serikat dan nilai tukar.

Abstract

Coastal communities in general depend on the sea so that the fulfillment of food in the form of side dishes generally does not vary. Coastal communities have large enough yards for agricultural cultivation and freshwater fisheries, they are constrained by environmental factors (threats of drought and salinity). For this reason, problem solving efforts were carried out by designing and making an aquaponic system with the Dutch Bucket System (DBS) as well as training and education on horticultural cultivation techniques land kale (Ipomea reptana) and catfish (Clarias gariepinus) which were combined in the DBS model. The purpose of this service activity is to provide knowledge and understanding to partners about how to cultivate Aquaponics on horticultural plants (land spinach) and freshwater fish (catfish) through DBS technology. Partners are housewives who live in Bongo Village, Batudaa Pantai District, Gorontalo Province. The result of this service activity is additional knowledge and understanding of coastal communities regarding aquaponic cultivation techniques using the DBS. This activity is beneficial for the PKK group of women in fulfilling daily food diversity, reducing the monthly expenditure of vegetables and side dishes by 66.7% and providing education related to the use of yards on coastal land.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis transmisi harga udang beku antara Indonesia dan Amerika Serikat. Data yang digunakan adalah data time series harga bulanan selama 120 bulan yaitu dari Januari 2005 hingga Desember 2014. Model yang digunakan adalah Asymmetric Error Correction Model (AECM) diestimasi dari pergerakan harga udang beku Indonesia dengan Amerika Serikat. Hasil estimasi model ECM menunjukkan bahwa harga udang beku Indonesia dikendalikan oleh Amerika Serikat sebagai importir terbesar dunia. Dari sisi kecepatan waktu penyesuaian menunjukkan bahwa transmisi harga udang beku Indonesia dengan Amerika Serikat bersifat asimetri dalam jangka pendek tetapi simetri pada jangka panjang. Transmisi harga asimetri pada jangka pendek dipengaruhi oleh adanya adjustment cost tanpa adanya pengaruh dari market power dari negara importir utama sehingga pada jangka panjang informasi harga di negara importir mampu ditransmisikan secara sempurna ke Indonesia. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui mekanisme Distribusi Program Bantuan Sosial Beras dan Efektivitas Distribusi Program Bantuan Sosial Beras Di Kecamatan Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo Provinsi Gorontalo. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini melalui pendekatan Kuantitatif dan Kualitatif dengan penyajian secara deskriptif melalui indikator empat tepat yaitu (tepat waktu, tepat sasaran, tepat jumlah, dan tepat kualitas). Penentuan populasi dan teknik pengambilan sampel oleh 90 responden Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) terbesar di Kota Gorontalo yaitu Kecamatan Kota Barat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme distribusi Program Bantuan Sosial Beras perum BULOG di masa Covid19 berlangsung sesuai pedoman dan telah berjalan dengan baik. Distribusi Bantuan Sosial Beras untuk indikator tepat waktu jumlah persentase 97.22 % sehingga dapat dikategorikan sangat efektif, indikator tepat sasaran dengan jumlah persentase 90.00% sudah dapat dikategorikan sangat efektif, indikator tepat jumlah dengan jumlah persentase 92.22 % telah dapat dikategorikan sangat efektif dan indikator tepat kualitas dengan jumlah persentase 93.70 % sehingga sudah dapat dikategorikan sangat efektif. Proses distribusi Program Bantuan Sosial Beras Perum BULOG cabang Gorontalo dimasa pandemi covid-19 dilihat dari keempat indikatornya sudah sesuai dengan tujuan Pemerintah, tapi tidak menutup kemungkinan adanya sedikit masalah pada sasaran, waktu, kuantitas dan kualitas.

Abstract

Nutrizinc rice is a biofortified variety designed with the advantage of high specific nutritional value, especially at higher levels of zinc nutrition compared to Ciherang rice. The mineral zinc is useful for preventing stunting in humans, and to help protect the human immune system from the attack of the COVID-19 virus. However, this variety has just been promoted by The Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology (AIAT, in Indonesian: Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian, BPTP) Gorontalo Province so people are still not familiar with this rice. Therefore, it is important to conduct research related to the analysis of the level of consumer acceptance aimed at knowing consumer preferences and attitudes towards the attributes of high-zinc nutritious rice. The study had 60 respondents who were chosen by chance (accidental). This study used Chi Square analysis (X2) to see the differences in consumer preferences for the attributes of high zinc nutritional rice with various cooking methods and the ratio between rice and water. Meanwhile, Fishbein Multi-attribute analysis was used to determine consumer attitudes towards the attributes of high-zinc nutritional rice. The results showed that the different methods of cooking and adding water to the rice did not significantly change the flavor, color, and aroma of the rice, on the contrary, it only changed the texture of the rice. The high-zinc nutritional rice that consumers like was rice that had a slightly sweet flavor, fluffier texture, bright white color, and has no odor. In addition, the color and texture attributes of rice with high zinc nutrition were the most dominant considerations compared to other attributes in deciding to buy or consume rice with high zinc nutrition.
