Abstract

Research on the analysis of the diversity of phytoplankton has been carried out in the Barumun River, Panai Tengah District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The Barumun River is widely used by the surrounding community for various activities, for example: disposal of industrial waste, household waste, fish auctions, ports, and fishing. This activity resulted in the Barumun River being polluted with increasingly turbid water color. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of phytoplankton in the Barumun River. This type of research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Sampling used Plankton Net mesh size 30 μm from 3 stations with 10 repetition, observed using a microscope, identified using the book "Marine and Fresh Plankton", counted, and analyzed the diversity index of plankton in the Zoology Laboratory, Biology Education Department, FKIP, University Labuhanbatu. Plankton abundance was calculated using the Lackey Drop micro-count method and Plankton diversity was calculated using the Shannon-Wiener formula. The results showed that the phytoplankton found were dominated by Diatoms and Dinoflagellates, with the highest average abundance being from the genus Cerratulina (1015 ind/L), and the lowest abundance value was from the Protoperidiun genus (5 ind/L). The diversity index is included in the moderate diversity category (1.48-1.90), and the dominance index is in the range of 0.24-0.28 with a low category.

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is to identify the kinds of phytoplankton that can be found in the Aek Buru River's waters and to gauge the quality of the river's water. Purposive sampling, a sampling approach that considers specific data sources, is the sampling methodology employed. At surface water depths of 0 to 1.5 meters, water samples were taken. According to the study's findings, there are 4 classes and 15 different types of phytoplankton in the diversity of species collected. The conclusion of this study is the diversity of phytoplankton obtained (Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae and Chrysophyceae). The quality of river water is classified as moderately polluted waters. Key words: Phytoplankton, Water Quality, Aek Buru River

This study aims to determine the diversity of microalgae in the waters of the Barumun River as basic data. This study conducted a survey on the diversity of microalgae in the waters of the Barumun River which is located in Panai Hulu Regency, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province from October to December 2022. The method used is exploration. Determination of the sampling was carried out by systematic purposive sampling. Sampling was carried out through three points, namely the upstream, middle and downstream of the Barumun River. This study found 47 species of microalgae belonging to 42 genera and 27 orders, members of Chlorophyta and Bacillariophyceae as the most abundant microalgae. At point 1 found 36 species, while at point 2 found 30 species, and at point 3 as many as 22 species. The physicochemical factors of the Barumun River waters were also measured, the average water temperature was 27 RAM C, the average pH was 6.7, and the average water brightness was 57 cm. This study concluded that environmental factors greatly affect the diversity of microalgae in the Barumun River waters. Keywords: Diversity, Microalgae, Barumun River

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of river water and the water quality status of the Marbau watershed in North Labuhanbatu Regency based on water quality criteria and to formulate a pollution control strategy that needs to be implemented. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method by analyzing the status of river water quality based on the pollution index. The results showed that the P1 value of Marbau river water ranged from 0.94 to 1.82. The recommended pollution control strategies are: 1) maintaining river protection zones involving environmental cadres and green communities in monitoring; 2) monitoring and controlling water pollution along the river; 3) improve river water quality monitoring; 5) supervision of the discharge of waste water into rivers; 4) granting permits for disposal of wastewater (IPLC) into rivers must pay attention to the condition of the capacity to accommodate river pollution loads and enforce environmental law against business actors who violate established environmental quality standards. In conclusion, the quality of the Marbau river has decreased with the water quality status being slightly polluted. The recommendations for water pollution control strategies that need to be implemented are progressive strategies. Keywords: Water Quality, North Labuhanbatu, Marbau

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the index of plankton diversity in the Aek Rao River, Gunung Tua. The research was carried out from April to May 2022 in the Aek Rao River, Gunung Tua. The sampling method used purposive random sampling which consisted of 3 observation stations, namely station 1 upstream, station 2 for residential areas and station 3 for densely populated areas. The results showed that the composition of plankton in the Aek Rao River, Gunung Tua consisted of 3 classes of phytoplankton, namely Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae and Cyanophyceae, while the zooplankton class consisted of 4 classes, namely Mastigophora, Monogononta, Crustacea and Ciliophora. The highest diversity index in phytoplankton was obtained at station 1 of the sand mining area with a value of 1, 39 which indicates that the level of diversity is in the medium category. In zooplankton the highest diversity index was found at station 3 with a value of 0.33 which indicated that the level of diversity was included in the low category. While the highest dominance index for phytoplankton was found at station 3 in densely populated areas with a value of 0.43 while zooplankton was found at station 1 in a sand mining area with a value of 0.00563, both values indicated that there was no dominant plankton genus in that area.

Abstract

This research aims to determine metal pollution in the Marbau river basin in North Labuhanbatu Regency. Sampling was carried out at 3 monitoring points in the upstream to downstream areas of the Marbau River in North Labuhanbatu Regency. Determination of sample return points. The method used is purposive sampling, by determining sampling points based on the differences in characteristics found in the research area. Some of the parameters measured are temperature, conductivity, turbidity, total dissolved density, BOD, COD, DO, pH, nitrate and chlorophyll which are then compared with the Standard Criteria for Class III river water quality according to the attachment to the reference regulation PerMenKes No.32 of 2017. The research results show that the upstream to downstream areas of the Marbau River are areas that can be categorized as low level pollution referring to PP RI NO 82 TAHUN 2001 with the specified quality standard for the heavy metal lead being 0.003 ppm. The conclusion of the analysis of the heavy metal lead (PB) from upstream to downstream of the Marbau River shows that the heavy metal lead (PB) pollution in the river is still relatively low or has not been contaminated by the heavy metal lead (PB). Abstract

Guiding the younger generation in understanding Islam from the family informing the piety of the millennial generation is essential even though the government and society have established Islamic religious schools. To ascertain the extent to which Muslim families have carried out such guidance, we have obtained supporting data from various literature sources, including findings published in international journals that we have searched electronically on the Google Scholar application from the 2010 issue to the most recent 2021. Furthermore, our analysis process involves evaluating, coding, and critical interpretation under a phenomenological approach. During the reporting, we choose a descriptive analysis system. All of our data depend on secondary, considering that this study was carried out when Indonesia was implementing PPKM, namely the period of the national public movement restriction policy. After the process of discussing the results, we can summarize that the task of guidance and family responsibilities in children's education lies with parents in the family, including things such as the motivation or encouragement of love that animates the relationship between parents and children and the provision of motivation for moral obligations as the consequences of the position of parents to their offspring so that the hope that someday the children will become pious and pious children. Thus, these findings should be part of efforts to educate children in the millennial era.
