Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pakan bebas pilih (free choice feeding) terhadap performans awal peneluran burung puyuh (Cortunix cortunix japonica). Materi yang digunakan adalah 216 ekor burung puyuh betina umur 2 minggu dengan bobot badan 56,01 ± 1,61 g (CV= 8,67%). Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah sebagai berikut T1 = 2 pakan sumber energi + 2 pakan sumber protein (bekatul, jagung, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai); T2 = 2 pakan sumber energi + 3 pakan sumber protein (bekatul, jagung, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, bungkil kelapa); T3 = 2 pakan sumber energi + 4 pakan sumber protein (bekatul, jagung, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, bungkil kelapa, PMM). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 9 ulangan. Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 8 ekor puyuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakan bebas pilih tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap umur awal bertelur, bobot badan awal bertelur dan bobot telur awal bertelur. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pakan bebas pilih dengan 2 sumber energi dan 2 sumber protein sudah cukup untuk performans awal peneluran burung puyuh.Kata kunci : burung puyuh betina (Coturnix coturnix japonica), pakan bebas pilih (free choice feeding), awal peneluran

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode marinasi dengan bawang putih pada daging itik dengan jus, crush dan blend. Materi yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu 1 kg daging itik bagian dada dan bawang putih. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu daging itik tanpa perlakuan marinasi (T0), marinasi daging itik dengan 8% jus bawang putih dari berat daging itik (T1), marinasi daging itik dengan 8% crush bawang putih dari berat daging itik (T2), dan marinasi daging itik dengan blend bawang putih (crush ditambah air 10% dari berat daging itik) (T3). Variabel yang diamati adalah pH, daya ikat air, dan total coliform. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis ragam pada taraf 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji wilayah ganda duncan untuk mengetahui perlakuan yang terbaik. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan, bahwa marinasi daging itik pada bawang putih dengan metode yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pH, daya ikat air, dan total coliform. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini daging itik yang dimarinasi dengan blend bawang putih dapat menghasilkan pH dan daya ikat air paling baik. Namun untuk kepentingan keamanan pangan menggunakan jus bawang putih dapat menghasilkan coliform yang rendah pada daging itik.Kata kunci : bawang putih, daging itik, pH, daya ikat air, dan total coliform.ABSTRACT This experiment was conducted to study the effect of the marinated method by garlic in the form of juice, crush and blend in duck meat. The material used in this experiment was 1 kg of chest duck meat and garlic. Completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications was selected in this method. Treatment were non marinated duck meat (T0), marinated duck meat with garlic juices 8% of the duck meat weight (T1), marinated duck meat with garlic crush 8% of the duck meat weight (T2), and marinated duck meat with a blend of garlic (crush plus 10% was of based on duck meat weight) (T3). The variables measured were pH, DIA, and total coliform. Data were analyzed by analysis of variable at the level of 5%, followed by Duncan's test to determine the best treatments. The results of the analysis of showed, that different marinated method demonstrated significant result (P <0.05). Duncan’s test ikrold that the best treatment blend garlic marinated method demonstrated in pH and water holding capacity, while in the coliform performend juice garlic marinated method was the best. However, due to food safety concern it can be conclused that juice garlic method was the best to marinated duck meat.Key words : garlic, duck meat, pH, water holding capacity, and total coliform.

Abstract

Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi bawang putih sebagai prebiotik yang dikombinasikan dengan lactobacillus acidhopilus sebagai sinbiotik untuk ayam broiler. Rancangan penelitian dengan RAL, sebagai perlakuan TO = pakan basal; T1= pakan basal + sinbiotik 2 ml; T2= Pakan basal + sinbiotik 4 ml. Parameter yang diamati adalah Performans yang meliputi bobot badan 4 minggu, rasio H/L dan suhu lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada perlakuan B dengan 4 mlsinbiotik dapat meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan sebesar 1202,78 gr. Suhu kandang pada penelitian sekitar 250C–33 0C dengan kelembaban sekitar 45 % - 71 %. Pada rasio H:L meningkat pada perlakuan kontrol secara nyata (P<0,05) dibandingkan perlakuan menggunakan sinbiotik. Suhu Tubuh ayam pada penelitian sekitar 40 0C – 43 0C.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan sistem pemeliharaan intensif dan semi intensif pada performans itik Tegal berupa komposisi dan konsumsi nutrien, konversi pakan dan produksi telur. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April – Mei 2018 di peternakan rakyat Desa Bulu, Kecamatan Petarukan, Kabupaten Pemalang, Jawa Tengah. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu 2265 ekor itik Tegal betina dari 13 peternak itik di KTT Bulusari yang terdiri dari 6 peternak dengan sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif dan 7 peternak dengan sistem pemeliharaan intensif. Itik Tegal dipelihara selama 40 hari. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang menginterprestasikan suatu data dari sampel penelitian yang dianalisis dengan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konversi pakan dan HDP itik Tegal betina yang dipelihara  secara intensif sebesar 7,09 dan 57,57%, sedangkan  itik yang dipelihara secara semi intensif adalah sebesar 1,43 dan 58,84%.  Sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif lebih menguntungkan karena lebih sedikit pakan dapat memproduksi secara optimal.

Abstract

This research’s intention was to examined the effect of liquid waste boiled salt fish in the ration on fat and cholesterol meat and abdominal fat percentage of Mojosari Peking crossing duck. The research materials used were 120 of 3 weeks old males Mojosari Peking duck crossing with average initial body weight of 520.30 ± 57.82 g. This experimental design was used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications with total 20 units experimental each unit consisted of 6 ducks. The treatment used of liquid waste boiled salt fish in rations with level: T0 = 0%, T2 = 2.5%, T3 = 5% dan T4 = 7.5%. The results showed that the the used of liquid waste boiled salt fish have no significant effect (P>0,05) on fat meat, abdominal fat percentage and cholesterol meat. The used of of liquid waste boiled salt fish can be used in the ration up to the level 7.5%.

Abstract

The use of peel banana fermentation rumen fluid was aimed to increase bone calcium and to determine the strength of broiler’s bone. This study used one hundred and twenty broilers aged 14 days with average body weight 475+ 0.98 g. The research was experimental research that used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. Each replication used 5 birds. The treatments were ration without peel banana fermentation rumen fluid (T0), ration with 5% of peel banana fermentation rumen fluid (T1), ration with 10% of peel banana fermentation rumen fluid (T2) and ration with 15% of peel banana fermentation rumen fluid (T3). The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) specifically with F-test and continued by Duncan multiple range test if it were found differences among the treatments. The result showed that 10% of peel banana fermentation rumen fluid in the diet significantly decrease femur strength (P<0.5). This study concluded that 10% of peel banana fermentation utilization in the diet was good for broilers at the starter period.   Keywords: Broiler, peel banana fermentation, bone

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif dan intensif terhadap kualitas fisik telur seperti berat telur, berat kerabang, tebal kerabang, warna kuning telur, indeks kuning telur, indeks putih telur dan indeks haugh.  Penelitian ini menggunakan Itik Tegal berumur 36 - 48 minggu yang diberi pakan dengan komposisi ransum dari peternak rakyat.  Data yang diperoleh kemudian dibandingkan rata-ratanya dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa itik yang dipelihara menggunakan sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif menghasilkan telur dengan kualitas fisik yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan itik yang dipelihara menggunakan sistem pemeliharaan intensif.  Berat telur, berat kerabang, ketebalan kerabang, indeks putih telur dan indeks haugh memberikan kualitas yang sama antara sistem pemeliharaan intensif dengan semi intensif.

Abstract

Objective: Fermented lime waste had potential value as a feed additive for poultry. A Bioactive compound such as citric acid in the lime waste can improve the broiler's performance and body resistance. The study purposed to evaluate the effect of using fermented lime waste powder (FLWP) on the broiler performance and body resistance.Methods: This study used 200 female broiler strain Lohman MB 202 chickens. The research design used a completely randomized design with four treatment levels of fermented lime waste powder (FLWP) by 0%, 1%, 2%, and 3% in every rations with each treatment replicated five times. The parameters observed are feed intake, feed conversion ratio, final body weight, carcass percentage, abdominal fat percentage, lymphoid organ’s relative weight, and heterophil/lymphocyte ratio (H/L ratio). Data were calculated using the analysis of variance and difference test with Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Data analysis were calculated using the SPSS 19.0 program.Results: The result indicates that using FLWP improved (p<0.05) the relative weight of the Bursa of fabricius at T0 0.11%; T1 0.19%; T2 0.19%; and T3 0.17% respectively. The FLWP at 3% level improved (p<0.05) broiler chicken’s H/L ratio. Performance, carcass percentage, and abdominal fat percentage among treatments were not influenced (p>0.05) by FLWP addition.Conclusions: It concludes that adding FLWP at a 1% level increases the relative weight of Bursa of fabricius (0.17-0.19%) without depressed performance of broiler.

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate fish meal substitution with black soldier fly larvae supplemented with 2% Trichoderma culture on female grower performance and carcass traits quail. The materials used were 200 two-week-old female quails with an average body weight of 51.5 ± 7.3 grams. The study used a completely randomized design with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were: BSF0 (100% fish meal), BSF25 (75% fish meal + 25% BSF meal), BSF50 (50% fish meal + 50% BSF meal), BSF75 (25% fish meal + 75% BSF meal) ), BSF100 (100% BSF meal). The BSF meal used was added with 2% Trichoderma culture. The rations were iso-calorie and iso-protein, formulated from yellow corn, soybean meal, fish meal, BSF meal, mineral mix, and Trichoderma culture, with metabolic energy of 2,900 kcal/kg and 24% protein. The data were analyzed using variance analysis to determine if it had a significant effect, then continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the treatments were insignificant to the FCR, percentages carcass, and ovaries. Nevertheless, significant to (p<0.05) feed intake, live weight, average daily gain and abdominal fat. The substitution of fish meal with BSF + 2% Trichoderma culture was more than 75% decreased feed consumption which caused a decrease in quail's life weight. According to the carcass traits, the BSF + Trichoderma sp 2% could be used up to 100%. However, based on quail performance, it can be concluded that BSF + 2% Trichoderma sp can be used up to 75% in quail rations without harmful effects.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on the data obtained from January to May 2022 in the Bogor City Hospital Emergency Room, it was found that the documentation of nursing care was not optimal. 7 Emergency Room nurses said that the workload of nurses was quite heavy with countless patient visits with various criteria. Incomplete documentation of nursing care will lead to a decrease in the quality of nursing services and the occurrence of a problem that has the potential to become a legal case for nursing staff. Therefore, it is necessary to increase knowledge regarding the completeness of proper documentation and motivation from leaders and management so that nurses can complete the documentation of nursing care optimally. Methods: This study uses a cross-sectional descriptive quantitative method, with the type of correlation. The samples taken were 42 respondents. The instruments used were the workload questionnaire from Nursalam and the Hospital Nursing Care Standards (SAK) observation sheet. The dependent and independent variables in this study were Compliance with nursing care documentation and nurses’ workload. Results: The age distribution where nurses were mostly early adults with 33 people (78,6%), and the gender of most of them was 29 people (69%), The distribution of nurses' workload is almost entirely moderate, namely 35 people (83,3%) while the distribution of documentation compliance level is mostly obedient, which is 24 people (57,1%). Correlation Test Results p-value was obtained at 0,031 (< 0,05). Discussion: There is a significant relationship between the workload of nurses and the compliance of nurses' documentation in Bogor City Hospital Emergency Room in 2022.
