Abstract

Serangkaian invasi Mongol benar-benar telah menimbulkan kehancuran bagi peradaban Muslim. Invasi Mongol tersebut dilanjutkan dengan pembentukan sebuah konfederasi masyarakat Asia Tengah di bawah kepemimpinan Jenghis Khan. Sesuai dengan garis ketentuan Tuhan yang harus diyakini, Mongol telah berjuang untuk menaklukkan beberapa wilayah yang ternama dan merampas Asia Timur, Timur Tengah dan beberapa wilayah gurun Eropa Timur di bawah pemerintahan mereka. Jatuhnya kota Baghdad pada tahun 1258 M ke tangan bangsa Mongol bukan saja mengakhiri Khilafah Abbasiyah di sana, tetapi juga merupakan awal dari masa kemunduran politik dan peradaban Islam, karena Baghdad sebagai pusat kebudayaan dan peradaban Islam yang sangat kaya dengan khasanah ilmu pengetahuan itu ikut pula lenyap dibumihanguskan oleh pasukan Mongol yang dipimpin oleh Hulagu Khan.

Abstract

The emergence of new media era allows the spread of positive contents (inspiring and useful subject) and negative contents (hate speech and hoaxes) through cyberspace. Islamic Boarding Schools (Pondok Pesantren) which have large mass of santri (students) have a strategic position to repress the dissemination of mentioned negative content. The applied method is optimizing social media as a channel for spreading positive content with the spirit of rahmatanlil ?alamin. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung jahe merah dalam ransum ayam kampung dengan dosis yang berbeda pada fase pertumbuhan terhadap performans pubertas.  Pada penelitian ini menggunakan ayam kampung betina sebanyak 100 ekor berumur 16 minggu ditempatkan dalam kandang bateray dibagi menjadi 20 unit percobaan.  Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam kampung.  Bahan pakan yang digunakan terdiri dari jagung giling, bekatul, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, pollard, premiks dan tepung jahe merah.  Model rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok dengan 5 perlakuan yang terdiri dari 4 kelompok sebagai ulangan dengan perlakuan yaitu T0 = ransum tanpa penambahan tepung jahe merah; T1 = ransum + tepung jahe merah 0,25%; T2 = ransum + tepung jahe merah 0,5%; T3 = ransum + tepung jahe merah 0,75%; T4 = ransum + tepung jahe merah 1%.  Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam menggunakan uji F pada taraf 5 %.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung jahe merah dalam ransum ayam kampung tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap performans pubertas.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Communicative Approach and the Test-Focused Approach in TOEFL® preparation classes. Sixty-four students from Islamic Senior High School Madrasah Aliyah Al-Insan (pseudonym) in Jombang, East Java, Indonesia, were divided into two groups: one receiving instruction based on the Communicative Approach and the other on the Test-Focused Approach. Using a quasi-experimental design, pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed to measure improvements in TOEFL performance. The results showed significant score increases in both groups. The Communicative Approach group’s mean pre-test score of 456 improved to 483 post-intervention, while the Test-Focused Approach group’s mean score rose from 460 to 493. The paired sample t-test results indicated statistically significant improvements within each group, with p-values of 0.00 for the Communicative Approach and 0.00 for the Test-Focused Approach. Additionally, the independent sample t-test revealed that the Test-Focused Approach group performed significantly better than the Communicative Approach group post-intervention, with a p-value of 0.030. These findings align with existing theories on language learning and test preparation, suggesting that while communicative methods enhance overall language proficiency, test-focused strategies more effectively boost immediate test performance. The study concludes that integrating both approaches in TOEFL preparation programs can provide a balanced and comprehensive strategy, optimizing both language development and test readiness. Future research should explore the long-term effects of such integrated methods on students' language proficiency and academic success.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk: 1) Mengetahui proses pembelajaran Sejarah Indoensia Kelas XI IPS di SMA NU Al Ma’ruf Kudus, 2) Mengetahui perbedaan minat belajar siswa kelas yang memanfaatkan media film dokumenter dengan kelas yang tidak memanfaatkan media film dokumenter, 3) Mengetahui adanya peningkatan minat belajar siswa setelah adanya pemanfaatan media film dokumenter dalam pembelajaran sejarahPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian denganjenis kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Purposive Sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelasXI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan angket. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji independent test-t dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran Sejarah Indonesia di kelas XI IPS cukup berjalan dengan lancar. Media pembelajaran yangdigunakan oleh guru sejarah dalam mengajar hanya menggunakan buku LKS.Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan minat belajar siswa antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Kelas eksperimen mendapat skor 78,94 lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol 66,89. Hasil dari analisis dengan uji independentntest-t menunjukkan skor dari signifikansi sebesar 0,000 0,05 serta nilai ????ℎ???????????????????? ???????????????????? yaitu 10,837 1,688 maka ???????? diterima dan ???????? ditolak yang artinya ada peningkatan minat belajar siswa karena pemanfaatan media film dokumenter.Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa media film dokumenter dapat meningkatkanminat belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah. Saran untuk penelitian ini yaitu agar guru dapat lebih mengeksplor penggunaan media film dokumenter sebagai salah satu media alternatif dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah di kelas.

Abstract

The research aims to investigate the impact of popular English songs on students' motivation to learn English at School X in Jombang using a quasi-experimental design. This study focuses on implementing English popular songs (EPS) popular in the last 15 years and remain popular today. A sample of 42 students from two different classes participated in the study. Data were gathered using a questionnaire and analyzed statistically with SPSS version 20. The findings indicate that students' motivation to learn English was moderate, based on their responses to the Likert scale questionnaire. Furthermore, Spearman's rank correlation test found a moderate correlation between students' motivation and the use of EPS. In light of these findings, using EPS does not significantly affect students' motivation. However, it was noted that students' learning experiences, a component of the L2 Motivational Self System, improved. Additionally, a Chi-square test of independence examined the relationship between the frequency of students listening to EPS and their motivation. The results suggest that students who frequently listen to English songs tend to have higher motivation. This study provides insights into the potential benefits of incorporating popular music into English language learning to enhance student engagement and motivation.

Abstract

Among the teaching practitioners in Indonesia, there is a general belief that some learners of English in some Indonesian pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) have a negative view on English, which consequently affects their motivation. However, it remains unclear what has affected the trend. The current study investigates this issue in three pesantren schools in Indonesia affiliated with different Islamic groups. Using the L2 Motivational Self System (L2MSS) model proposed by Dörnyei (2009) as an analytical lens, a survey instrument was designed to describe and compare students’ motivation to learn English (n = 376). A multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was run to describe and compare the students’ motivation, and a stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed to discover which motivational factors made the most significant contribution to motivation by predicting reported learning effort in English.  In addition, a thorough document analysis was performed to obtain background information regarding the teaching of English in the three institutions. It was found that institutional factors do play a role in influencing the learners’ motivation, in that in the most religiously conservative context, the school policy does shape the learners’ ideal L2 self. As the learners’ ideal L2 self was weak, it leads to weak motivational power as well. The paper concludes by emphasizing the crucial role of educational contexts in shaping students’ ideal selves and in providing favourable learning experience, which are key elements in motivating learners to learn English.

Abstract

Purpose: to analyse mosque financial transparency practices focusing on announcing the receipt and use of infaq and sadaqah to Friday prayer congregations using mosque toa. Methodology: This research uses a type of qualitative method with a descriptive approach to explore and understand the practice of mosque financial transparency through the announcement of infaq and sadaqah to Friday prayer congregations at the Jami' Al Huda Mosque Banjarejo Gunungsari District Umbulsari Jember Regency. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Findings: This practice of announcing management and infaq and sadaqah not only increases the accountability of mosque administrators but also strengthens the congregation's trust in fund management, which is carried out openly and clearly. Apart from building trust, financial report announcements also positively impact congregational solidarity. Congregants feel more involved and have a sense of shared responsibility, reflected in increased financial contributions and participation in religious activities. However, challenges such as time constraints were noted.  Novelty: This study contributes to the literature by explicitly examining the role of sound reinforcement or toa in increasing mosque financial transparency and cultural factors in encouraging financial transparency.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji aktualisasi teori belajar kognitif dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada Kurikulum Merdeka secara konseptual dan implikatif. Teori-teori kognitif dari Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, dan Robert M. Gagné dianalisis untuk melihat relevansi dan penerapannya dalam desain instruksional PAI yang adaptif, kolaboratif, dan kontekstual. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif-deskriptif dengan metode studi pustaka. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ketiga teori tersebut dapat memperkuat pembelajaran PAI yang tidak hanya bersifat informatif, tetapi juga transformatif—menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, reflektif, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam secara bermakna. Dalam kerangka Kurikulum Merdeka, teori belajar kognitif berperan strategis dalam mendukung pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, berbasis proyek, serta penguatan karakter spiritual dan intelektual peserta didik. Artikel ini diharapkan menjadi kontribusi konseptual dalam pengembangan pedagogi PAI yang relevan dengan tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21. This article conceptually and implicatively explores the actualization of cognitive learning theories in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum. Cognitive theories by Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, and Robert M. Gagné are analyzed to examine their relevance and application in designing adaptive, collaborative, and contextual instructional models for PAI. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach through a literature review method. The findings indicate that integrating these theories can enhance PAI learning to be not only informative but also transformative—fostering critical thinking, reflection, and meaningful internalization of Islamic values. Within the Merdeka Curriculum framework, cognitive learning theories play a strategic role in supporting differentiated, project-based learning and in strengthening students’ spiritual and intellectual character. This article aims to contribute conceptually to the development of PAI pedagogy in response to the challenges of 21st-century education.
