Abstract

The purpose of research on language politeness in the case of Ferdy Sambo on the Rosi program on Kompas TV is to describe the language politeness practiced by Rosi Silalahi and Patra M Zen in the ROSI talk show. The data collection was obtained by using the observing technique and followed by the note taking technique. The researcher found obedience and violation of politeness maxims. The obedience maxim of politeness is found in the maxim of tact, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of humility, the maxim of conformity, the maxim of sympathy, and the maxim of praise. While violations of the principle of politeness were found, violating the maxim of tact, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of humility, the maxim of praise and no violations of the maxim of compatibility and sympathy were found.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) thefeasibility of information literacy-based news writing video media for students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tapung Hulu Kampar Regency, and (2) comparison ofstudent learning outcomes taught using information literacy-based news writing video media with student learning outcomes taught without information literacy-based news writing video media. The theory that becomes the reference in this research is about video media according to Arsyad, writing news according to Zainurrahman and Djuraid. The method in this research is a quasi-experimental research with anonequivalent control groupdesign.The population of this study were all junior high school students in grade VIII of SMP N 1 Tapung Hulu. The sample of this study amounted to 2 classes with each class totaling 36 students. Class VIII-1 was taught using information literacy-based news writing video media, while class VIII-3 was taught without information literacy-based news writing video media. The object of this research is news writing video media based on information literacy.The results of this study found that: (1) Thethe results of research on the quality of video media writing news based on information literacy both by material experts, media experts, Indonesian language teachers, and students provide an assessment with a very good category, and(2)Student Learning Outcomes taught using video media writing news based on information literacy (80.00 ± 3.87) ( ±SD) were higher than the learning outcomes of students taught without video media writing news based on information literacy (68.47 ± 5.92) (t-count = 9.772; P = 0.000). Thus, learning media is a means that can be used to channel messages, stimulate thoughts, feelings, attention, and willingness of students so as to encourage the learning process in students. So that the Indonesian language learning process using video media writing news based on information literacy can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process and student learning outcomes for the better.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas XI Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL) SMKN 1 Bukit Sundi, Kabupaten Solok. Rendahnya hasil belajar tersebut disebabkan oleh kurang bervariasinya model pembelajaran yang diaplikasikan guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan Model pembelajaran Konvensional dalam keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMKN 1 Bukit Sundi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI di SMK N 1 Bukit Sundi, Kabupaten Solok Jurusan Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL). Kemudian, sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Kelas eksperimen adalah kelas XI RPL A dan kelas kontrol kelas XI RPL B. Anggota kelas XI RPL A adalah sebanyak 28 orang dan kelas XI RPL B juga 28 orang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui penggunaan instrumen penelitian yang berupa tes hasil belajar dan angket motivasi belajar. Selanjutnya data hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan Uji-t dan Anova. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dan model konvensional pada pembelajaran menulis cerpen siswa SMK N 1 Bukit Sundi, (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project based learning dan model konvensional yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi pada pembelajaran menulis cerpen siswa SMK N 1 Bukit Sundi, (3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project based learning dan model konvensional yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah pada pembelajaran menulis cerpen siswa SMK N 1 Bukit Sundi, dan (4) tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dan konvensional yang diterapkan kepada siswa cukup mempengaruhi hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project based learning lebih dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar secara signifikan daripada model pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This study discusses how to use compound sentences in the novel “Cahaya di Bawah Cahaya” by Helvy Tiana Rosa, Benny Arnas, and Asma Nadia. The purpose of this research is to describe the use of compound sentences in the novel. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data source for this research is the novel “Cahaya di Bawah Cahaya” by Helvy Tiana Rosa, Benny Arnas, and Asma Nadia. Based on the results of data analysis found (1) equivalent compound sentences 64, (2) multilevel compound sentences 21, and (3) mixed compound 32.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of academic supervision that tends to be merely procedural and its impact on teachers’ professionalism in sustaining the quality of learning in elementary schools. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using an interactive analysis model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that academic supervision has been conducted in a scheduled and administrative manner but has not fully functioned as a continuous professional development process. Teachers tend to demonstrate more structured and varied teaching practices during supervision sessions but revert to minimal instructional practices in daily teaching. This indicates that learning quality is still influenced by external control rather than driven by teachers’ internal professional awareness. The lack of reflective dialogue and follow-up actions also hinders the development of a sustainable culture of instructional improvement. The study highlights the importance of collaborative, reflective, and continuous academic supervision in fostering teacher professionalism and maintaining consistent learning quality

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the principal’s leadership practices in managing teachers at the elementary school level, particularly civil servant teachers (ASN) and school education personnel (TKS). The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design to gain an in-depth understanding of the principal’s leadership practices at SDN 126/VI Muara Jernih. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation related to school activities and teacher management. Data were analyzed descriptively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification.The findings reveal that the principal applies a democratic leadership style characterized by openness to teachers’ input, decision-making through deliberation, firmness in enforcing rules, and open two-way communication. The management of ASN and TKS teachers is conducted fairly and proportionally based on each teacher’s competence, experience, and capability. Furthermore, the principal consistently provides guidance and supervision to support teachers’ professional development. This leadership practice has a positive impact on teachers’ performance, discipline, and motivation, while also fostering a harmonious and conducive work climate within the school.This study contributes to the development of effective, fair, and inclusive school leadership practices in managing teachers at the elementary school level.
