Abstract

This study examines the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addressing deforestation and promoting sustainability in plantations using a bibliometric approach. Deforestation, a critical global issue, results from agricultural expansion, plantation development, and land-use changes, leading to significant environmental degradation. AI has been proposed as a powerful tool to monitor and manage deforestation more effectively, offering solutions such as satellite imagery analysis and predictive models. Through a bibliometric analysis spanning the last decade (2013–2023), this study uses VOSviewer to visualize co-citation networks, identifying key research trends and clusters related to AI in deforestation and plantation sustainability. The findings reveal that research is concentrated in regions like Indonesia and Brazil, where AI technologies like machine learning are employed to predict deforestation and enhance resource management. Emerging research areas include the integration of AI with the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain for improved data management and sustainability practices. This analysis provides insights into the growing role of AI in mitigating deforestation and offers recommendations for future research, including addressing ethical challenges and regulatory frameworks to further enhance sustainable plantation management.

Abstract

Bad loans are a serious problem in the banking sector, not only harming financial institutions but also impacting the economic conditions of debtors. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Collateral Takeover mechanism in resolving bad loans at Rural banks. The method used is empirical, based on field observations and regulatory analysis, as well as legal literature. The results of the study indicate that the Collateral Takeover mechanism includes several stages, starting from identifying problem loans, taking over assets, assessing, selling, to recording in financial statements with settlement within an uncertain deadline. Existing regulations including Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Asset Quality of Rural banks have not provided legal certainty to debtors, especially regarding the time period for resolving Collateral Takeover. Challenges in implementing Collateral Takeover include unclear regulations, lack of creditor participation in auctions, high legal costs, and minimal education and access to legal assistance for debtors. These obstacles hinder debtors from obtaining legal certainty.

Abstract

This study discusses consumer legal protection against developer defaults in the binding agreement for the sale and purchase of flats (PPJB). The increase in housing development, especially through the pre-project selling system, often harms consumers due to uncertainty and default from developers. The research method used is a literature study, with a legal approach and a case approach. Analysis was carried out on Decision Number 91/PDT/2018/PT. Jakarta to assess the legal protection provided to consumers. The results of the study show that regulations, including Law Number 11 of 2011 concerning Flats, provide a strong legal basis for consumers to demand their rights. Consistent law enforcement in default cases creates a precedent that strengthens the position of consumers, increases public trust in the legal system, and creates a conducive environment for flats buying and selling transactions.

Abstract

Deeds made by a notary, such as a deed of agreement, sale and purchase deed, or grant deed, have the force of law that binds the parties involved. Notaries are obliged to carry out their profession with full dedication and integrity. The purpose of this study is to find out the responsibility of the Notary for the legally defective Deed of Borrowing Agreement and to find out the legal consequences for the Deed of Borrowing Agreement that is legally defective and canceled by the judge. This legal research is a type of Normative legal research. The result of this study is that the cancellation of the agreement has a retroactive effect that cancels all rights and obligations previously regulated in the agreement. The status of the deed as an authentic document is lost, so its evidentiary power declines and can only be considered as a deed under hand.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology is significantly impacting the lives of humans. This technology enables transfer between regions, thereby threatening the right to privacy. However, the progress of the era related to electronic transactions will continue, necessitating the protection of privacy rights in electronic transactions, through harmonization with the legal principles of Roscoe Pound. A normative legal study was conducted with a statutory and conceptual method, then data were collected through literature studies and analyzed using descriptive-qualitative statistics. Privacy data protection has been implicitly regulated in Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) and Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law, as well as Government Regulation concerning the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Transactions (PP PSTE). The concept of law as social engineering positions ITE and PDP as key instruments in the formation and development of society. Meanwhile, the balance is seen when a regulation has accommodated the interests, of both state, community, and individual, showing the legal thinking side of Roscoe Pound. Policymakers need to pay more attention to how policies are made in accordance with Roscoe Pound's legal principle to achieve the main objective.

Abstract

Home Ownership Credit is an agreement that arises between the bank as the creditor and the customer as the debtor. The creditor provides services in the form of financing for the purchase of a house with the debtor paying in installments according to the chosen tenor. Interest in Home Ownership Credit is very high in the people of Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. The offer of a Home Ownership program that can be paid for by credit is the main reason Home Ownership Credit has such high interest in Karanganyar Regency. Apart from that, government support with several subsidies for Home Ownership Credit is also the reason. Home Ownership Credit will result in a credit agreement between the creditor, namely the bank, and the customer or debtor. Credit agreements are made to ensure legal certainty between the creditor and debtor. The credit agreement made by the bank is in the form of a standard agreement which then needs to be presented to the customer for approval. Clauses made unilaterally by banks result in unequal authority between banks and customers. The economic advantages possessed by banks mean that customers who need financing programs from banks must agree to the standard agreement. The standard agreement in the agreement for granting Home Ownership Credit is the result of the Principle of Freedom of Contract which is intended to ensure that agreements can be balanced. However, in reality, this implementation results in the dominance of one party, namely banking, which has economic advantages. The need factor is the main reason that causes customers to inevitably agree to the standard agreement even though the agreement in it is not balanced.

Abstract

Agrarian conflicts can occur between individuals and individuals or individuals with groups or business entities as well as with the government. Throughout 2020, there were 241 cases of agrarian conflict found. The existence of the Job Creation Law which also regulates land contains provisions for the existence of a Land Bank as an institution that can shelter abandoned lands of the state to be used for the prosperity of the people. In fact, a number of problems were found regarding the existence of this Land Bank which tends not to be able to bridge agrarian conflicts between parties. This study aims to describe how ineffective the Land Bank is in resolving agrarian conflicts. This research is a normative legal research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the existence of a Land Bank with a non-profit principle actually benefited the private sector who wanted to use the land through the Land Bank. The absence of a Government Regulation concerning Land Bank also means that this institution does not yet have a legal umbrella to run. Utilization of abandoned land that can be taken by the state just like that is also considered to be impartial to the existence of farmers as small people, then it was found. in the control of a Land Bank, the benefits can be enforced and used in accordance with the actual procedure

Abstract

The transformation towards Society 5.0 has had a significant impact on the rapid growth of data available worldwide, both useful and less directly beneficial, known as big data. This phenomenon provides opportunities for researchers to leverage big data as a valuable source of information, provided it is processed and analyzed using appropriate methods. One of the rapidly growing applications is sentiment analysis, which extracts insights from text data, such as that gathered from social media platforms. This study applies the TF-IDF feature extraction technique and the SVM (Support Vector Machine) classification method to perform sentiment analysis on Twitter text data. The results of the research show that the model built using the combination of TF-IDF and SVM achieved an accuracy of 86%, with precision, recall, and F1-Score values of 85% each. These findings indicate that the application of TF-IDF with SVM provides optimal performance in sentiment analysis, considering the word frequency within documents, and makes a significant contribution to processing big data for more accurate and effective sentiment analysis
