Conflict is a complex process that cannot be avoided. Conflict needs to be managed positively so that it has a good impact on the development of individuals and organizations. Conflict management is very important in solving problems in the workplace, especially for nurses. Conflict management has a close relationship with the emotional intelligence of nurses in building and maintaining cooperation in order to produce the desired resolution. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of emotional intelligence with the conflict management style of nurses. The method used is a search for management style journals in nursing conflict with nurses' emotional intelligence, including designs, studies, samples, and research results of journals that are searched. The journals collected are the latest published journals and have been selected through Google Scholar, an international journal indexed by Sinta. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and nurses' conflict management. Conflict and its management are motivated by many factors, therefore it is important to properly assess the influencing factors that are expected to have an impact on the conflict management approach used by nurses. So that nurses with high emotional intelligence are able to resolve conflicts and choose a good conflict management style. Job rotation is the displacement from one room to another, but it is still within the scope of the same job. Rotation is one of the methods for increasing quality service nursing, refreshing and preventing boredom, fulfilling the need for energy nursing in the room, and improving the skills of nurses. Job rotations at Martha Friska Multatuli Hospital have been held since 2020. This research aims to determine job rotation's correlation with nurses' performance at Martha Friska Multatuli Hospital. Research methods use descriptive correlation with cross-sectional design. The sample size in the study was as many as 71 respondents, and the technique of taking the sample was purposive sampling. The instrument used to collect data was adopted and modified from the existing rotation, and performance questionnaires were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using the coefficient test correlation Pearson. Research shows that nurses state that rotation at Martha Friska Multatuli Hospital is good enough for as many as 42 respondents (59.2%). It is also known that part big nurses' performance in categories good as many as 58 respondents (81.7%). Statistical results using the Pearson test obtained a ρ-value 0.004. This matter shows a correlation between positive rotation and nurses' performance at Martha Friska Multatuli Hospital. It is expected that nurses can accept the rotation decision that the hospital has determined.

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of family support before and after the action, the characteristics of family members, the influence of the action, and the effectiveness of the action of warm cinnamon and warm compresses on reducing the pain scale for rheumatoid arthritis. This research method is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design using a pre-test and post-test design with a warm compress control group. The sampling method in this study used total sampling, so the number of samples for each group was: 30 people for the control group and 30 people for the intervention group. This research began in September 2023 – February 2024. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon tests, the P-value was obtained, namely 0.000 < α = 0.05. In conclusion, there is the influence of family support before and after the action is taken, there is the influence of warm cinnamon compresses and warm compresses, then there is the effectiveness of warm cinnamon compresses and warm compresses on reducing the scale of rheumatoid arthritis pain. This study aims to analyze the influence of breast self-examination peer education on adolescent behavior in early breast cancer detection. This research method is quantitative with a pre-experimental research design, one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling method in this study used proportional stratified random sampling, so the total sample in this study was 114 respondents. This research began in September 2023 – February 2024. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon signed rank test, the P-value was obtained, namely 0.000 < α = 0.05. In conclusion, there is an influence before and after breast self-examination peer education is carried out on adolescent behavior in early detection of breast cancer. This study aims to analyze the relationship between burnout and nurse performance at Prof Dr. Hospital Chairuddin Panususnan Lubis USU. The Type of research used is Analytical survey method with cross-sectional approach is employed. The research sample amounted to 62 nurses on duty in the patient room using with total sampling. Data was collected using primary and secondary data and anlyzed using Chi- Square statistical test with a confidence level 0f 95%. The results showed that nurse burnout p=0,001. Conclusion, there is relathionship between burnout and nurse performance. Keywords: Burnout, Nurse performance

Background: Nurse satisfaction should be the main concern of hospital management so that nurses can work effectively in providing services. Nurses are the front line in services that are present 24 hours to accompany patients. Nurse satisfaction will have an impact on patient satisfaction as recipients of health services. Purpose: To analyze the relationship between work motivation and nurses' job satisfaction. Method: Quantitative analytical research with a cross sectional approach, conducted at the Sidikalang Regional General Hospital on 89 nurses, samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and data tabulation using a Likert scale. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate Spearman Rank tests. Results: Most of the respondents' work motivation fell into the sufficient category, namely 75.3% and the relationship between work motivation and satisfaction obtained p-value=0.002 with r=0.329. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between nurses' work motivation and nurses' job satisfaction. Suggestion: Further research needs to be carried out regarding the relationship and influence of work motivation on nurses' job satisfaction with more specific factors. Pendahuluan: Kepuasan perawat seharusnya menjadi hal utama yang menjadi perhatian manajemen rumah sakit agar perawat bisa bekerja dengan efektif dalam pelayanan. Perawat merupakan garda terdepan dalam pelayanan yang hadir 24 jam mendampingi pasien. Kepuasan perawat akan berdampak kepada kepuasan pasien sebagai penerima layanan kesehatan. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan kepuasan kerja perawat. Metode: Penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional, dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sidikalang kepada 89 perawat, sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran skala likert. Analisa data menggunakan univariat dan bivariat uji Rank Spearman. Hasil: Motivasi kerja responden sebagian besar masuk ke kategori cukup yaitu sebanyak 75.3% dan hubungan motivasi kerja terhadap kepuasan mendapatkan p value=0.002 dengan nilai r=0.329. Simpulan: Motivasi kerja perawat memiliki pengaruh cukup kuat terhadap kepuasan kerja yang berdampak pada pelayanan kesehatan. Saran: Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai hubungan dan pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja perawat dengan faktor yang lebih spesifik. Bedside handover is a handover carried out by nurses at the patient's bedside. The handover process in the inpatient ward of Efarina Etaham Berastagi Hospital is still carried out traditionally, which is carried out at the nurse station without direct involvement of patients and families at the patient's bedside. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of bedside handover on nurse satisfaction in providing nursing care to patients. The design of this study was pretest and posttest with control group. The subjects of the study for the treatment group and the control group were 32 nurses each. In both groups, the level of satisfaction was measured using a questionnaire. Furthermore, the level of nurse satisfaction was compared between before and after the intervention using the Wilcoxon test, also between the two groups using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the data analysis showed that the p value of the Wilcoxon test for the treatment group was 0.000 (there was a difference in nurse satisfaction between before and after the intervention); while for the control group it was 0.082 (there was no difference in nurse satisfaction between before and after the intervention). The p-value of the Mann-Whitney test result was 0.000 (there was a difference in the level of nurse satisfaction between the treatment group and the control group). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that bedside handover can increase nurse satisfaction in providing nursing care to patients at Efarina Etaham Berastagi Hospital.Keywords: handover; bedside handover; nurse satisfaction ABSTRAK Bedside handover merupakan serah terima yang dilakukan oleh perawat di samping tempat tidur pasien. Proses handover di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Efarina Etaham Berastagi masih dilaksanakan secara tradisional, yaitu dilakukan di nurse station tanpa keterlibatan pasien dan keluarga secara langsung di samping tempat tidur pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh bedside handover terhadap kepuasan perawat dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan kepada pasien. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah pretest and posttest with control group. Subyek penelitian untuk kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol, masing-masing adalah 32 perawat. Pada kedua kelompok dilakukan pengukuran tingkat kepuasan menggunakan kuesioner. Selanjutnya tingkat kepuasan perawat dibandingkan antara sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, juga antara kedua kelompok menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai p dari uji Wilcoxon untuk kelompok perlakuan adalah 0,000 (ada perbedaan kepuasan perawat antara sebelum dan sesudah intervensi); sedangkan untuk kelompok kontrol adalah 0,082 (tidak ada perbedaan kepuasan perawat antara sebelum dan sesudah intervensi). Nilai p dari hasil uji Mann-Whitney adalah 0,000 (ada perbedaan tingkat kepuasan perawat antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa bedside handover dapat meningkatkan kepuasan perawat dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan kepada pasien di Rumah Sakit Efarina Etaham Berastagi.Kata kunci: serah terima; bedside handover; kepuasan perawat

Perawat merupakan salah satu profesi yang bergerak di bidang kesehatan dan memiliki intensitas yang tinggi dalam menjalin hubungan secara langsung dengan pasien. Hal ini menyebabkan perawat mengalami burnout (kejenuhan kerja), dengan kejenuhan kerja membuat perawat lebih banyak bergantian staf, cuti sakit sehingga memperburuk kualitas pelayanan kesehatan sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya untuk mengatasi burnout dengan mempengaruhi perasaan dan perilaku yang positif dengan memberikan terapi Cognitive Behaviour Therapi (CBT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas CBT terhadap burnout perawat. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah literatur review. Hasil dari lima database diperoleh 15 artikel dari database online seperti, ProQuest, Science Direct, PubMed, dan Google Scholar. Hasil literature review didapatkan bahwa CBT dan relaksasi terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi burnout dan meningkatkan ketahanan pada perawat. Mayoritas studi dalam systematic review ini menunjukkan penurunan yang signifikan pada gejala burnout setelah diberikan intervensi CBT.

Stres merupakan reaksi kompleks tubuh terhadap tekanan atau tuntutan tertentu, baik dari faktor fisik, emosional, atau mental. Stress merupakan respons alami yang melibatkan pelepasan hormon kortisol dan adrenalin sebagai upaya tubuh untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan situasi yang dianggap mengancam atau menuntut. Stres dapat berkurang dengan beberapa terapi salah satunya relaksasi otot, sering disebut Progressive Muscle Relaxtion (PMR). Desain penelitian menggunakan tinjauan sistematis melalui online database termasuk Google Scholar, Science Direct, dan Pubmed. Proses pemilihan artikel menggunakan metode PRISMA. Jumlah artikel yang diperoleh sebanyak 132 artikel, kemudian digunakan artikel terpilih sebanyak 15 artikel. Hasil yang didapatkan 15 Artikel yang menyatakan bahwa terapi relaksasi otot progresif efektif terhadap penurunan stres dan berbagai penyakit. Hasil akhir didapatkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara Terapi Relaksasi Otot Progresif Terhadap Tingkat Stres.
Analysis of Determinant Factors Affecting the Behavior of Intensive Care Nurses about Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) Bundle Care

Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) commonly arises due to the use of invasive endotracheal tubes, which facilitate the entry of bacteria into the respiratory system. VAP typically develops after a patient has been on mechanical ventilation for more than 48 hours. This study aims to analyze the determinant factors influencing the behavior of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses regarding VAP management at a General Hospital in Medan, Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative research approach with a survey design, involving 56 ICU nurses. The results of the multivariate analysis indicated significant p-values for the variables of education (p = 0.014), length of work experience (p = 0.004), and training (p = 0.013), demonstrating their collective influence on ICU nurses’ behaviors toward implementing VAP bundle care. Among these factors, the availability of facilities emerged as the most significant determinant, with the highest odds ratio (OR = 3.486). Nurses who had received training were 3.486 times more likely to exhibit appropriate behavior when providing VAP bundle care interventions compared to those who had not undergone such training. Based on these findings, it is recommended that every ICU nurse enhance their skills and knowledge through comprehensive training programs on VAP bundle care.
