Abstract

Kerusakan lingkungan salah satunya disebabkan oleh pencemaran lingkungan karena penumpukan sampah yang sampah yang sulit untuk diurai kembali (anorganik). Contoh sampah anorganik yang membutuhkan waktu puluhan tahun untuk dapat terurai adalah adalah plastik. Program kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Lingkungan II Kelurahan Asam Kumbang Medan agar mau berpartisipasi untuk mengelola sampah menjadi kerajinan tangan yang bernilai ekonomis. Selama ini ibu-ibu sudah aktif terlibat dalam pengumpulan sampah plastik kemasan, namun melalui pemberdayaan ini, diharapkan ibu-ibu bukan hanya berpatisipasi dalam pengumpulan sampahnya tetapi juga diharapkan dapat berpartisipasi dalam pembuatan kerajinannya. Produk yang dihasilkan sangat beragam, selain untuk dipakai sendiri, hasilnya juga dapat dijual yang tentunya memberi nilai ekonomis dan dapat menjadi tambahan penghasilan buat keluarga.

Abstract

Background: Nurse performance is crucial in determining the quality of nursing care in hospitals. Low motivation and high workload are factors contributing to decreased performance. This occurs at Rasyida Kidney Specialist Hospital, Medan, characterized by a lack of appreciation, high workload, and patient complaints regarding services. Purpose: To analyze the relationship between motivation and workload and nurse performance. Method: This study used a correlational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all nurses at Rasyida Kidney Specialist Hospital, Medan. The sample size was 69. The research instrument was developed by the researcher and has undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods. Results: Univariate analysis showed that the majority of nurses (45%, 65.2%) had good motivation, 48 (69.6%) had a high workload, and 46 (66.7%) had adequate performance. The analysis of the relationship between motivation and performance yielded a p-value of 0.001 and an r-value of 0.507, while the analysis of the relationship between workload and nurse performance yielded a p-value of 0.012 and an r-value of 0.301. Conclusion: There is a relationship between motivation, workload, and nurse performance, with a coefficient of determination of R2 = 0.357, indicating a 35.7% effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Suggestion: This finding is expected to serve as a basis for evaluating hospital policies related to nurse motivation and workload. Strategies are needed to create a workload balance to support sustainable nurse performance.   Keywords: Hospital; Motivation; Nurses; Performance; Workload.   Pendahuluan: Kinerja perawat penting dalam menentukan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan di rumah sakit. Rendahnya motivasi dan tingginya beban kerja menjadi faktor penurunan kinerja. Ini terjadi di Rumah Sakit Khusus Ginjal Rasyida Medan, ditandai kurangnya penghargaan, tingkat kerja tinggi, adanya keluhan pasien terhadap pelayanan. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis hubungan motivasi dan beban kerja dengan kinerja perawat pelaksana di rumah sakit. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh perawat pelaksana di Rumah Sakit Khusus Ginjal Rasyida Medan. Sampel merupakan populasi (total sampling) berjumlah 69. Instrumen penelitian dikembangkan sendiri oleh peneliti dan telah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat. Hasil: Mayoritas motivasi cukup baik 45 (65.2%), beban kerja tinggi 48 (69.6%), dan kinerja perawat cukup 46 (66.7%). Hasil analisis hubungan motivasi dengan kinerja didapatkan p-value 0.001 dan nilai r  0.507, sedangkan hasil analisis hubungan beban kerja dengan kinerja perawat didapatkan p-value 0.012 dan nilai r 0.301. Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara motivasi dan beban kerja dengan kinerja perawat pelaksana dengan koefisien determinasi R2= 0.357 yang berarti besarnya pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen adalah sebesar 35.7%. Saran: Diharapkan menjadi dasar evaluasi kebijakan rumah sakit terkait motivasi dan beban kerja perawat, diperlukan strategi untuk menciptakan keseimbangan beban kerja guna mendukung kinerja perawat secara berkelanjutan.   Kata Kunci: Beban Kerja; Kinerja; Motivasi; Perawat; Rumah Sakit.

Abstract

Background: The productivity of nurses in hospitals is an important factor that contributes to the quality of health services. In the era of globalization, nurses experience low productivity, which can be influenced by conflict management and communication factors. Purpose:To analyze the relationship between conflict management and communication and the productivity of nurses. Method: Quantitative research, using a cross-sectional method, was conducted at the Haji Makassar Regional General Hospital in May 2025. The sampling technique used probability sampling with a sample size of 70 respondents. The independent variables in this study were conflict management and communication, while the dependent variable was nurse work productivity. The data analysis used univariate in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate using Spearman's rank. Results: Showed a significant relationship between conflict management and nurse productivity with a p-value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of 0.494, which was positive and unidirectional. This means that the better the conflict management, the higher the productivity of nurses. Conflict management affects the productivity of nurses. Conclusion: Optimizing conflict management is an important factor in improving the performance of nursing staff. Through a constructive approach to conflict management, a more supportive work climate can be created, team collaboration can be improved, and the quality of patient care can be maintained.   Keywords: Conflict Management; Communication; Nurse; Productivity.   Pendahuluan: Produktivitas kerja perawat di rumah sakit merupakan faktor penting yang berkontribusi terhadap mutu pelayanan kesehatan. Era globalisasi perawat mengalami rendahnya produktivitas yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor manajemen konflik dan komunikasi. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis hubungan manajemen konflik dan komunikasi terhadap produktivitas kerja perawat. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif, menggunakan metode cross sectional, dilaksakanan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Haji Makassar pada bulan Mei 2025. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 70 responden. Variable independen dalam penelitian ini adalah manajemen konflik dan komunikasi, sedangkan variable dependen adalah produktivitas kerja perawat. Analisis data yang digunakan univariate dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi dan bivariate menggunakan spearman rank. Hasil: Adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara manajemen konflik dan produktivitas kerja perawat dengan nilai p = 0.000 dan koefisien korelasi 0.494 yang bersifat positif dan searah. Artinya, semakin baik manajemen konflik dilakukan, maka semakin tinggi pula produktivitas kerja perawat. Manajemen konflik berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kerja perawat. Simpulan: Optimalisasi manajemen konflik menjadi faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja tenaga keperawatan. Melalui pendekatan pengelolaan konflik yang konstruktif, dapat tercipta iklim kerja yang lebih mendukung, meningkatkan kolaborasi tim, serta menjaga kualitas pelayanan kepada pasien.   Kata Kunci : Komunikasi; Manajemen Konflik; Produktivitas Kerja; Perawat.

Abstract

Nurse work motivation is the internal and external forces that drive work behaviors, such as commitment and performance, by determining their direction, intensity, and duration. Interprofessional collaboration in nursing practice involves partnerships between nurses, healthcare teams, and patients with shared decision-making based on professional expertise. Patient satisfaction reflects perceptions of the quality of care compared to their expectations. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurses' work motivation and patient satisfaction and the relationship between interprofessional collaboration in nursing practice. The study was quantitative with a correlation approach. 99 inpatients were involved in this study using convenience sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Spearman rank statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between nurse work motivation and patient satisfaction (0.027<0.05). There was a relationship between nurse interprofessional collaboration practice and patient satisfaction 0.007<0.05). It is expected that the work motivation and interprofessional collaboration practice of nurses can be further improved in services so that patient satisfaction increases and patient needs are met well.

Abstract

Health services in the health professions can be used as business opportunities, building a culture of entrepreneurship and expanding professional roles into entrepreneurial health workers. Independent nursing practice is the practice of individual or group nurses in independent practice settings outside of health care facilities. Independent practice is a form of nursing that aims to standardise care for clients who need assistance because of ignorance, inability or unwillingness to meet their basic needs and care for themselves. Through the implementation of independent practice, nurses carry out their roles and functions in accordance with their authority. The purpose of this systematic review is to describe the opportunities and challenges of independent nursing practice. Methods: The research design used PRISMA systematic review. Journals were obtained from ProQuest and Google Scholar 2019-2023 database searches, full text, open access. Results: Based on the collected journals, independent nursing practice is a form of building an entrepreneurial culture and expanding professional roles to become entrepreneurial health workers. The motivation of nurses in independent practice is to improve the welfare of nurses, which can increase motivation. Nurses in independent practice face challenges because they are limited by the authority, responsibility and accountability that must be carried out in order to provide professional care.

Abstract

Antibiotics are drugs to prevent or kill infections caused by bacteria. Antibiotics are not drugs that are freely available for consumption, therefore they should not be used carelessly. The use of antibiotics that is not in accordance with the rules can cause resistance to antibiotics. This study aims to identify the knowledge of the community in Kampung Mudik Village, Barus District and the role of health workers to prevent the effects of resistance to antibiotics. Methods: This study focused on the community in Kampung Mudik Village, Barus District. This study is a descriptive study. The sampling technique used a probabilistic technique with a margin of error of 5%. The number of respondents was 146 community. The result of study indicate that the level of community knowledge about antibiotics varies: most community (58.2%) have high knowledge, (28.8%) have sufficient knowledge, and (13%) have low knowledge. All community (100%) have used antibiotics, but the majority of community (79.5%) do not know the side effects of using antibiotics that are consumed carelessly. This study found that most community already have good knowledge about the use of antibiotics, but many community still do not know the side effects if they take antibiotics not according to instructions. Therefore, it is suggested that the community needs to be given proper education through inter-professional collaboration to avoid the effects of antibiotic resistance.

Abstract

Nursing Telehealth has a very effective impact on nurses in providing nursing services. The use of increasingly sophisticated media can penetrate the barrier between nurses and patients. Referring to Florence Nightingale's nursing paradigm, modern nursing theory was developed to describe the interaction between nursing, patient environment, health, and individual basic needs. The use of information and communication technology has impacted the evolving role of nursing in modern healthcare systems that have embraced the whole setting. Besides the many benefits, Nursing Telehealth must be faced with the readiness of human resources, financing, facilities and infrastructure as well as clear legal aspects. The purpose of this literature review is to describe the use of Telehealth in the nursing profession to provide professional care. Method: research design using Literature Review, based on summaries of several studies related to the Nursing Telehealth research topic. The journal can be accessed by searching the ProQuest database and Google Scholar 2019-2023. Results: Based on the journals collected, the use of Nursing Telehealth in nursing care can increase the effectiveness of nursing care services. Conclusions and Recommendations: Nursing Telehealth is effective in facilitating nurses in carrying out professional and effective nursing care and shortening the time and distance of services. The author recommends that Nursing Telehealth be implemented in Indonesia in stages considering Indonesia's geographical conditions.
