Abstract

PT Java Egg Specialities is one of manufacturing company which produce various kinds of processed egg. Surely the company engaging consumer goods must be very concerned about quality of its products. According to the research, the nonconformance final products were found frequently. This nonconformance quality is found in filling line production in which there is weighting activity inside. The problem is sought an alternative solution with Six Sigma method. In this method research is done through 5 DMAIC steps: define, measure, analyze, improve and control. The calculation results is analyzed in analyze phase, making the fishbone diagram, and FMEA. The root causes from each factor of weight nonconformance are influence of machine setting, machines are not stable, not accurate in setting the machine, less in practice and understood, primary packaging weight has not exactly the same, presence of air bubbles, and the way of pouring emulsion.

Abstract

PT. Java Egg Specialities merupakan salah satu perusahaan industri makanan yang memproduksi berbagai macam hasil olahan telur. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, seringkali ditemukan terjadi ketidaksesuaian kualitas pada produk akhir. Ketidaksesuaian kualitas ini ditemukan pada lini produksi filling yang di dalamnya terdapat kegiatan penimbangan berat. Berat produk yang dihasilkan seringkali tidak mencapai target yang diinginkan atau memiliki variasi yang cukup besar. Masalah tersebut dicari alternatif pemecahannya dengan metode Six Sigma. Pada metode ini penelitian dilakukan melalui 5 tahapan DMAIC yaitu: define, measure, anayze, improve, dan control, di mana di dalamnya terdapat banyak penggunaan metode dan tools kualitas. Tahap define mengidentifikasi hubungan antara elemen-elemen produksi dengan diagram SIPOC, pembuatan flow chart untuk identifikasi proses filling, penentuan critical to quality yang diteliti, yaitu berat produk. Tahap measure dilakukan pengukuran dengan peta kendali X-bar S dan diperoleh Cp 1,09 dan Cpk 0,95 untuk kemasan pouch, dan Cp 1,09 serta Cpk 1,08 untuk botol. Nilai-nilai ini mengindikasikan kapabilitas proses baik untuk kemasan botol maupun pouch tidak baik. Seluruh hasil perhitungan dianalisis pada tahap analyze, pembuatan diagram fishbone, dan FMEA. Akar penyebab dari setiap faktor ketidaksesuaian berat adalah pengaruh setting mesin. Pelaksanaan eksperimen menggunakan metode One Way ANOVA untuk mencari alternatif terbaik mengenai berapa banyak putaran spindle pada setting mesin. Kata kunci: Six Sigma, DMAIC, Berat Produk, Kapabilitas Proses, ANOVA. AbstractPT. The main problem is product weights do not meet the target wanted or having much enough variation produced frequently. The problem is sought an alternative solution with Six Sigma method. In this method research is done through 5 DMAIC steps, namely: defined, measure, analyze, improve, and control, which is many method and quality tools used inside. Define phase identifies the relationship between production elements in SIPOC Diagram, makes a flow chart to identify filling process, and determine the critical to quality to be examined which is product weight. Measure phase is done measurement with X-bar S control chart, all out of control values is eliminated and then calculating the capability process. Cp is obtained 1.09 and Cpk 0.95 for pouch packaging, and Cp1.09 and Cpk 1.08 for bottle which it means all the capabilities were not good. All of the calculation results is analyzed in analyze phase, making the fishbone diagram, and FMEA. The root cause from each factor of weight nonconformance is machine setting. The executing experiment used One Way ANOVA method to find the best alternative about how many cycle of spindle. According to the research results there is no significant influence in many cycle of spindle. Keywords: Six Sigma, DMAIC, Product Weight, Process Capability, ANOVA.
