Abstract

Designing portable clothesline products to meet customer needs using the Quality Function Deployment Method. This research was conducted in the city of Batam where a small city, very densely populated, with the majority of the population are company workers. Drying is a tiring job, and therefore effective, efficient drying is needed to make it easier for users to carry and store. The use of the Quality Function Deployment method goes through 4 phases of the process namely House of Quality (HOQ), design Deployment, manufacturing planing, Product Planing , by taking a sample of 122 respondents from three housing estates namely Puriagung, Genta Batuaji, and Villa Mukakuning. This study uses a validity and reliability analysis test using a significance level of 0.05 with 122 respondents from the results of r table 0.1779 declared valid, then reliability testing using cronbach alpha values ​​0.6, 60% with the results of 0.980, 0.968 and 0.760. from passing 4 phases in QFD produces portable clothesline with a total of 24 hook hangers, clothesline that can be folded on its side, and clothesline that can be set high and low. The attributes developed are based on certain considerations and the results of the respondent's questionnaire.

Abstract

Forecasting is a prediction of a future that got from detailed calculation results systematically based on current data and previous data in the certain period. To do forecasting, a lot of data that used to do a forecasting then our result could be accurate based on forecasting that we have already done. Forecasting of demand is needed by PT XYZ, Forecasting method that used are Exponential Smoothing method with α 0,1, 0,5 and 0,9 and Regression Linier method to predict the number of sales product of wooden box and wooden pallet that would occur in the months to come. The forecasting result with regression linear for six period later sequentially are 274,12; 274,99; 275,85; 276,71; 277,57; and 278,44 with the error level are MAD = 34,74; MSE = 1.637,51 and MAPE = 14,17%. From data processing analysis that already done that the best selected method is exponential smoothing with α 0,9 to forecast demand product of wooden pallet 110 cm x 110 cm. With forecasting result in six period later sequentially are 347,9; 369,7; 391,4; 413,2; 434,9; dan 456,7 with the error level are MAD = 4,14; MSE = 22,63 and MAPE = 1,65%.

Abstract

Quality control is an important part of developing a company improvement strategy. PT Doellken Bintan is a manufacturing company producing palletzing. Based on the results of data processing using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method, the mapping of current mapping processes in the manufacturing production process is obtained so that the description of the process can be known and can be used as a reference base in designing the company's future map. In addition, controlling the quality of the palletzing production process results in the risk of failure on the results of the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) which is used as a priority for improvement proposals. For the greatest risk of failure on the FMEA RPN are those that have a Risk Priority Number (RPN) value above 100, namely Broken Screw, Old Barrel Cable, Short UV, Short Blower, Error Temperature Controller, Broken Air Valve, Roll Chain in the gear box it is loose, the printing knife is worn / out, the compressor is damaged, the utility error, the air hose is leaking, the wind pressure sensor is damaged. However, RPNs below 100 are also provided with a review of improvements that are adjusted to company conditions.

Abstract

The role of humans as a source of labor still dominates every industrial activity. Unlike machines that can be repaired and replaced. Humans as workers, they still have limitations. In manual work activities, humans have a high work risk of MSDs cause unsupportive work facilities. The activity of filling black soil at UKM Rasti Ornamental Plants in process of filling and lifting sacks has potential to risk MSDs because of manually with simple work facilities and work posture not ergonomic. This research begins with calculation of nordic body map questionnaire the results show there are complaints on the neck, back, waist, nape, hips, left forearms, right and left, right wrists. Average result of the work risk score with REBA is 8 in the high category and needs immediate action. Solusiton to reduce this risk with trolley design trolley by applying the EFD method based on ergonomic aspects ENASE. The EFD results obtained the highest product design priority is trolley element to reduce pain in workers with weight (0.326) and trolley specification target designed according to the workers anthropometry was the main priority to be developed among other aspects. Anthropometric data used in the design are Standing Elbow Height (TSB), Shoulder Width (LB), and Hand Grips (GT).

Abstract

EPSON BATAM is an electronics industry company that produces ink, scanner and ic. In the continuous process of the machine, it was found that some of the equipment of this machine was damaged, such as the instantaneous hot sasakura transformer, failure of the motor pump to pump ink waste, and failure of the contactor heater. The consequences of this damage have an impact on the number of products produced which are not in accordance with the previously planned time. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of machines using the approach used in increasing machine authority is Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), while OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is a method used as a measurement in implementing the TPM program, to monitor equipment in ideal conditions with eliminating 6 major losses of equipment then the researcher will analyze the factors that affect the OEE value using Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA). The results showed that the OEE value obtained on the sasakura machine in January-August 2020 was 24%. The biggest factors with the lowest machine effectiveness were equipment failure losses of 53.45%, reducing speed losses of 33.72% and stopping small idling of 8.96%. The proposed improvement is to prioritize the 2 main pillars of TPM namely Focused Maintenance and Planned Maintenance.

Abstract

The CNC Milling Makino V33 is a machine used for the manufacture of protrusions and holes. When carrying out the production process, this machine often experiences problems such as overheating on the Y and X axes, misuse of materials and others that cause unattainable output. This study aims to measure the level of machine effectiveness using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), identify six big losses with Pareto diagrams, fishbone diagrams and Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA) and provide suggestions for engine improvements. Based on the research results, the OEE of the CNC Milling Makino V33 machine for the January 2020-August 2020 period was 29.37% and was still below the OEE International standard value of 85%. Based on calculation of the RPN value that has been carried out, the highest cause of failure is the unstable heater temperature. Proposed improvements that can be done are to check the heater temperature and carry out preventive maintenance every month.

Abstract

PT XYZ has several production machine units which as part of the manufacturing industry experience problems with the machine maintenance system that has been set by the company which are not carried out by maintenance operators, which causes machines to often experience breakdowns and the production process stops. One solution to this problem is to improve the way in which machine maintenance strategies are chosen. Therefore, this study aims to determine a machine maintenance strategy by involving PT XYZ. The results of this study obtained 3 criteria for selecting and evaluating the criteria for preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance with a total of 9 combined sub-criteria. The highest criterion weight is preventive maintenance (1.00), while the highest sub-criteria is time (1.00).

Abstract

A poor layout causes a poor process flow pattern, this happens to the tofu kharisma factory because it has not taken into account the degree of proximity between work stations in accordance with the flow of the production process. which greatly affects the distance of material handling. A new layout was redesigned to rearrange the material flow according to the product flow. To improve the layout of the work station, this study used the From to Chart, Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) method which was applied to the Blocplan90 algorithm. Based on the blocplan90 algorithm, the best layout of the 5 alternative choices is in layout 1. The total distance in the initial layout is 13,860 m while in the proposed layout it is 12,054 m. So, the total distance reduction is 1,806 m/month. MH cost in the initial layout is Rp. 7,193,340/month, while the MH cost for the proposed layout is Rp. 6,256,026/month. So, the total decrease in MH cost is Rp. 937,314/month and the total initial distance and final distance that has been obtained is the percentage efficiency of 13.03%/month.

Abstract

Optimalisasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan hasil pabrik tahu optimal pada keadaan normal dan pandemi, serta jenis tahu apa yang harus diproduksi pada keadaan normal dan pandemi. Dalam mendapatkan keuntungan yang optimal maka pabrik harus meminimumkan biaya produksi. Metode yang dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini ialah metode Simpleks, Goal Programming dengan memperhatikan kendala sasaran, kendala tujuan dan analisis keputusan dalam ketidakpastian. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan aplikasi POM For Windows dalam memudahkan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini ialah untuk mendapatkan keuntungan yang optimal dan menentukan jenis tahu yang harus diproduksi pada keadaan normal dan pandemi. Penelitian ini mengkaji beberapa jurnal dan buku yang berkaitan dengan bidang yang diteliti. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa keuntungan yang didapatkan optimal dengan memaksimalkan pendapatan pada keadaan normal sebesar Rp 2.500.000/hari dan keadaan pandemi sebesar Rp 2.780.000/hari dengan meminimumkan biaya produksi sebesar Rp 1.514.100/hari pada keadaan normal sedangkan pandemi sebesar Rp 1.896.300/hari.
