Abstract

Abstract.Cooperative learning by using change of pairs technique is a learning model which gives chancefor thestudentstoask andstrengthentheir answerfor the exercises.This research implementscooperative learning by using change of pairs technique to reduce student’s errorin solving problems of area of trapezoid. The subject of the research is grade VII A students of SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The type of this research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data collection methods used in this research are observation, documentation, interview, and test. The result shows that the errors are decreasing; misused data decrease from 50% to 0%; distorted theorem or definition decrease from 59,38% to 12,5%; technical errors decrease from 61,25% to 9,34%; and other error decrease from 27,5% to 1,25%. The result also shows that the activity of the students and the teacher in teaching and learning process are increasing. KeyWords:changeofpairs technique, students error, area of trapezoid

Abstract

Abstract.The aimof this research is to develop an audio based math media.It will help blind stunentd to understand thecircumferenceandtriangle area concepts. The methodis obtained from modifyng Four D modeland data collecting proccessin this research usequestionnaires andobservation. The validation results done by computerexpert, education expert and math teacherof SMPLBclass VII-A shows that 87.91% of the criteria have been fullfiled the validityand no revision required. The next stepis implementation test forblind studentsof class VII. The media test results shows that 92.85% have been fulfilledthevalidity. It means that the media has a very valid category and no revision required. The development result ofaudio based math media is an executable software. The product of this research are 6 units audio based math media and the manual book. Key Words:development research, audio, blind students

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) penerapan pembelajaran yang digunakan pada pokok bahasan Teorema Pythagoras untuk siswa tunarungu di Kelas VIIIB SMPLB, (2) aktivitas dan ketuntasan belajar siswa dalam penggunaan pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan Teorema Pythagoras untuk siswa tunarungu di Kelas VIIIB SMPLB. Penelitian ini tergolong Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dimana Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik dengan Whole Brain Teaching. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIB SMPLB Sinar Harapan Probolinggo yang berjumlah 5 siswa. Siswa terdiri atas 3 orang siswa laki-laki dan 2 orang siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dalam penelitian ini, siswa dikatakan tuntas apabila memenuhi ketuntasan ≥70. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pra siklus semuanya tidak tuntas. Keaktifan siswa pada pra siklus cenderung pasif. Kemudian, pada siklus I dan siklus II siswa yang tuntas mencapai 5 orang. Keaktifan siswa mulai tumbuh dan berani untuk tampil di depan kelas. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa Penerapan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik dengan Whole Brain Teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa tunarungu kelas VIIIB SMPLB Sinar Harapan Probolinggo tahun ajaran 2014/2015.   Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik, Whole Brain Teaching, Aktivitas siswa, Hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Abstract.The purpose of hypnoteaching method isto make the learning proses more effective and improve the focus of students. This method is also suitable to reduce the student’s mistake in solving problem of cube and cuboid topic. The research subject is VIII-F students of SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The data collection method used in this research isinterview, documentation, observation, and test. The research observed the activity of the teachers and the students. The result shows that the activity of the teachers and the students are significantly increasing. We can conclude that the hypnoteaching method can reduce the students mistake in solving problem of cube and cuboid topic. KeyWords:Hypnoteaching, students mistake, cube and cuboid.

Abstract

Abstract. One of the factors that caused students less comprehension to subject material is students were not guided to find the concepts of taught material. During this time, most of the teachers more used Classical Learning by using Tutorial Method and Cooperative Learning Model that only applied Discussion and Question Answer Method without guided the students to find the concepts of the taught material. Experiential Learning model is one of the learning model that can be used to overcome the problem. This learning model consists of four steps. The steps are Concrete Experience (CE), Reflection Observation (RO), Abstract Conceptualization (AC), and Active Experimentation (AE). This research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR) used two cycles. Every cycle consists of twice learning and once test in the last. The research that had been done in SMP Salafiyah Miftahul Huda Jenggawah Jember showed that the students learning achievement on Circle Elements theme used the implementation of Experiential Learning Model got increased. Abstract

Abstract.The aims of this study was: (1) to explain the implementing of PBI (Problem Based Instruction) models with Performance Assessment in the surface area and volume of cube and beamsat VIII-A Class of Junior High School 1 Jenggawah Jember at even semester of 2012/2013 academic years; (2) to analyze students’ activities during teaching learning process by using of PBI (Problem Based Instruction) models with Performance Assessment; (3) to analyze the result of students’ achievement after implementing of PBI (Problem Based Instruction) models with Performance.The research design used Classroom Action Research (CAR).The research subject was 37 students in class VIII-A of SMP Negeri 1 Jenggawah. Data collection method was observation, interview, test, and documentation.In the first cycle, completeness the student learning outcomes classically is 59,46%. And the second cycle, completeness the student learning outcomes classically is 89,19%. So the increase of the both cycle classically above was 30,37%. Abstract

Abstract. Cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) is kind of cooperative learning that is planed to influence the pattern of student interaction. Learning model of type TPS has three stages, that is Thinking, Pairing, and Sharing. The purpose of this research is to know the application of cooperative learning type of TPS material of linear program semester II in 2012/2013 teaching at the students of grade XI UPW section of SMKN 1 Jember. This research design is class action research (CAR) and the method of data collecting using observation, interview, test, and documentation. The result of research indicate that the result of learning activity increase students’ activity of cycle I reach 62,46% and cycle II reach 74,74% while the achievement of student learning at cycle I reach 70,59% and cycle II reach 73,53%. So the model of teaching TPS can increase students’ activity and the achievement of student. Key Words : TPS, linear program, student activity, the achievement of student

Abstract

Abstract. Development of the character-based approach to Contextual Teaching and Learning. Contextual Teaching and Learning is one of learning method that make students learn mathematics by connecting the material to the real life. The material is drawn is a linier equation of one variable in class VII junior hight school of SMPN 3 Bangsalsari. In this development using the development model camps. The charakters are developed responsibility, respect and discipline. The device being developed include the lesson plan, student worksheet, and student book. The data collection method used in this research with question responses, student observation, teacher observation and student achievement test. The result of the validation study validity coefficient lesson plans, student books, student worksheet, respectively 0,818; 0,791; 0,812. Observation of the average activity of teachers in managing the learning of 88.00% and analysis average student activity by 88.89% with Average achievement test mastery of 75.97. From analisis it was found that devices made have valid, practical and effective. Key Words : Lesson plan, student worksheet, student book.

Abstract

Abstract.The goal of this research aims to know the process and the result of developmental Realistic Mathematics Educatioan Instruments by think pair share setting for square and rectangle topics at seven grade junior high school. Learning instrument development model refers to four D models. The products of this research are lesson plan, student book, worksheet, and evaluation test. The products refer to the characteristic of Realistic Mathematics Education and phases of Think Pair Share. Based on the validation process try out of learning instruments, it can be concluded that the learning instrumets have satisfied of the validity, practice, and effective criteria. Abstract

Abstract. Strategy of PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) with the technique of Mind Mapping is the learning to create combination and relation between new information that have been know with the use of all in the students’ brain and write about what they learn in a piece of paper. This research is expected to know the process and result of the development of mathematics learning instruments based on strategy of PQ4R with the technique of Mind Mapping in sub subject of set for class VII. Learning instruments development model refers to Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel Model (4-D) Model. The result product is lesson plan, student books, work sheets, and evaluation test. Based on validation process and tryout the learning sets can be concluded that the learnig sets had been appropriate with validate, practice, and effective criteria.
