Abstract

This research examines the poetry of Aina Azhabu by Nizzar Qabani, a Syrian poet. This poem tells about the character I who lost his girlfriend Dariya. However, there are still words and sentences that are difficult for readers to understand. Therefore, this poem is very suitable for analysis using riffaterre semiotic theory. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data source used was a book entitled Qasayid Mutawahisha by Nizzar Qabbani, and the data source used was riffaterre semiotic theory, then the data collection technique used was library techniques. In this poem there are many sentences that do not have complete meaning, such as أن نفسي من نفسها تتعجب، يسكن الشعر في حدائق عينيك، فلولا عيناك لا شعر يكتب, which contain a replacement of the meaning of the previous meaning (displacing of meaning). Then to get the complete meaning, you have to use a search matrix, model and hypogram. This model will guide the reader to find the matrix. In the opinion of the author, the model in this poem is in two sentences أنت أحلى خرافة في حياتي و والذي يتبع الخرافات يتعب these two models were chosen, because both of them represent the entire sound of the text of the poem contained in the subject, firstly the poet's unwillingness due to Dariya's departure so that he considers his lover as a mystery in his life, and secondly the idea that his love for my character for Daria is a delusion. The poetry matrix that is then obtained is about “Imagine Love” which can be seen from the use of the word love repeated up to four times. Then in the last line the idea that the love of my character for Daria is just a fantasy.

Abstract

The comparative study conducted in this research is to see the differences and similarities between Arabic and Indonesian collocations and to see how the collocation process is translated. The comparative study was conducted using a comparative descriptive methodological approach. This research is a type of library research, which describes research conducted solely based on facts or phenomena contained in the data. The data processing process is carried out using three steps of contrastive analysis, the first is a description, the second is an overview and the third is a comparison as well as describes the collocation process in translation. Through these several stages, lexical and grammatical collocation data can be obtained both in Arabic and Indonesian as follows: words that are side by side or side by side between prepositions and verbs where the prepositions used are the prepositions (fî), ??(ilâ)??? (alâ), (an), ?(li) and (bi), resulting in the form or category of verb + preposition. Meanwhile, lexical collocations in Arabic use noun + noun, adjective + noun, verb + noun, preposition + noun and Indonesian lexical and grammatical collocations take the form of subject + predicate, noun + adjective, noun + noun, noun + adjective, noun + noun, verb + noun, adjective + noun. Furthermore, in the translation process, the lexical and grammatical collocation forms from the two languages cannot be translated literally or word for word (as is) but must be translated according to the context of the sentence and the culture used in the language.

Abstract

Translation means the transfer of one language to another. In the translation process, of course, you will be faced with linguistic problems and non-linguistic problems. Linguistic problems that often occur such as mastery of vocabulary and mastery of the structure of the source language are low so that in the process of translating words and sentences they experience many obstacles. Meanwhile, non-linguistic factors related to social and cultural aspects such as equivalence in translation. This study aims to reveal meaning deviations in the selection of diction or inappropriate words and sentences that occur due to language interference that occurs in the translator, where the translation results seem stiff and difficult to understand. In addition to choosing the right diction, the translator's sense of language (dzauq) should not be ignored. Because the sense of language arises from the social and cultural side that is automatically attached to a language. This research is a type of library research, which describes a research conducted solely based on facts or phenomena contained in the data. The data is taken from the thesis proposal of BSA FUAD IAIn Metro students. In this study using three stages in the data processing process, namely data collection techniques using listening and note-taking techniques, data analysis techniques using a language approach, and the last technique is the presentation of the results of data analysis carried out by parsing each data. Through these several stages, it can be found that these problems occur due to bilingualism and lack of mastery of the sense of language (dzauqul lughoh).

Abstract

Agriculture is one of the most vulnerable sectors to climate change, which can significantly impact national food security. In addition to climate change, agricultural development faces challenges, including the conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes. As a result, agricultural extensification has expanded into marginal lands, such as tidal swamplands. This paper presents a literature review on the characteristics of tidal swamplands, the principles of the surjan system, and its relevance in addressing climate change, particularly in the context of food security and ecosystem sustainability. Various literature sources were analyzed to assess the advantages, challenges, and sustainable management strategies of tidal swamplands. The review highlights the importance of effective land management to create suitable soil conditions for optimal plant growth and increased productivity. The surjan system, a land management approach practiced by tidal swampland farmers, demonstrates high adaptability in mitigating the impacts of climate change. This system integrates cultural, ecological, and economic perspectives by combining local knowledge with technological advancements. Key components of the surjan system include a one-way water management system with flap-gates and stoplogs, as well as the use of climate-adaptive crop varieties on tidal swamplands.

Abstract

In Indonesia, tidal swampland is potential to be developed into agricultural land uses. Water management is the key success of farming on the tidal swampland. In the tidal swampland of Kalimantan, Indonesia, a fork irrigation system is widely applied in the water channels to supply irrigation water to the land. Besides irrigation, soil physical characteristics play an important role in controlling water availability for crops. The ability of soil to store water will determine the amount of available water that can be taken up by plants. This research aimed to determine the soil physical properties that are related to water availability in the soils from different land uses in a tidal swamp land area applied with a fork irrigation system. The experiment was conducted in dry season 2012, in Belawang, Barito Kuala district, South Kalimantan province. The soil samples were taken from four land uses, namely rice field, rubber plantation, mixed cropping, and unmanaged land. The soil physical properties, namely soil bulk density, particle density, porosity, texture, pF 1, pF 2, pF 2.54, pF 4, water content, total pore space, rapid drainage pores, slow drainage pores, available water, groundwater level were measured. In addition, the mineralogical properties of the soils were measured as well. The results showed that the physical properties of the soils taken from different land use varied, however, the change of the land use did not cause changes in the soil mineralogical properties. The mineralogy of the soils from different land uses are relatively the same, namely: quartz, illite, and chlorite.

Abstract

Organic residues often exhibit different physico-chemical properties and affect the soil ecosystem in different ways. Hence, the study of their impact on soil is essential to benefit from their potential as amendments and to avoid adverse environmental effects. It is required to study the role of rice straw in the changes of soil properties during decomposition processes in the rice field. The research was conducted on potential acid sulphate soil (PASS) and actual acid sulphate soil (AASS) in the glass house. Soil pH, Fe2+, organic-Fe, total N and available P were observed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks after planting (WAP). The result showed that rice straw application : (1) decreased soil pH of PASS and increase soil pH of AASS; (2) tended to increase Fe2+ both in PASS and AASS; (3) stimulated the organic-Fe concentration in AASS was higher than organic-Fe concentration in PASS; (4) had no different effect in total N and decreased P concentration in the both of soil during observation. P concentration on PASS was lower than on AASS.Keywords: Decomposition, rice straw, soil chemical properties, soil type[How to Cite: Hairani A and A Susilawati. 2013.Changes of Soil Chemical Properties during Rice Straw Decomposition in Different Types of Acid Sulphate Soils.
