This research is oriented to two main discussions. First is the historical trajectory of MIB in Brunei and its relation to the education system. The second is the dimension of educational philosophy and Islamic education philosophy in Brunei by drawing its relation to the MIB. This research uses a qualitative-naturalistic approach. This research was conducted in Brunei, October 2019. Data was collected through interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), observation, document and literature studies. In data collection, this research involved academics from Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU) and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA). The findings show that the MIB is related to the model perennialism and progressivism. However, from Islamic education philosophy, MIB gives a traditionalist style to the mazhabi and modernist education system.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the complex process of integration and collaboration between the Kingdom of Buleleng, Hinduism and Islam, which is evident in the gate design of the Jami' Singaraja Grand Mosque. The paper uses a logical and concise structure that includes common academic sections, ensuring a clear and necessary flow of information and causal relationships between statements. It uses appropriate vocabulary for the particular subject and adheres to grammatical correctness, conventional structure, clear and logical structure, and balanced judgment. The objective was achieved by using three methods, namely Aditya Wardana's gate architecture method examines the aesthetic nuances and significance of the extrinsic layers associated with the construction of the gate under study, the semiotic method proposed by Riffaterre establishes the implied meaning of the physical form of the gate in question and the ideological method is used to analyze the results of the first two methods to provide a more comprehensive interpretation of the explicit and implied meanings. This study concludes that the gate architecture of the Jami' Singaraja Grand Mosque contributes to the negotiation between environmental sensitivity and the ethics of cultural beauty. This can be observed through three findings a symbol of social status that values responsible pluralism, the obligation to bring joy, maintain expressive values, and dissolve negative elements, a reminder of the guidelines of social life, inner purity, and psychological wisdom; and an ideology of togetherness for the Muslim profile that must pay attention to inclusive personality, mass mobilization for social care, and reproduction of individual piety.

Abstract

Students have many activity in their daily life. There are many things to do like going to class, meeting for group assignment, shopping for food and so on. If the student is unwell then need to go to the clinic for treatment and leaving letter. So in order to reduce the risk of receiving illness, researchers propose Displaying Health Status Based on the Internet of Things Concept. This tool will help students by knowing the pulse rates is normal or not. Displaying Health Status Based on the Internet of Things is designed to facilitate students to see their pulse rate. This tool will also help students to develop their potential and facilitate the health of students themselves by knowing their pulse rate at the proper level. Students will always keep their health healthy for everyday life. Additionally, this tool can alert students that health is essential for life. The results of this research show that this tool can be used when exercising to determine the pulse rate is normal or not.

Abstract

Household nowadays need to face the global warming and also have to face increase in cost of living. In this era also, especially Malaysia is the one of developer country, so there so many developments. So this situation can lead to many crises to the household for example dust, high temperature, and the increasing in the electrical bill. This study was aimed to develop solar exhaust fan with temperature sensor that can help the household to overcome the issue. The project used the evolutionary prototyping model. Quantitative method approaches were used for this study where 33 participants were participating in the survey before design the system and 32 respondent respond to survey during the user acceptance testing.

Abstract

One of the uses of robotics technology that is developing is in the field of warehousing, with robots transferring vehicle goods used in the industrial world, especially in the warehousing section. The item transfer robot has 2 navigations, namely on the wheeled part, namely the robot can maneuver in all directions without the need to rotate the body of the robot (holonomic robot). Then one of the robots that is used quite often in the industrial world is the arm manipulator. Robots that have a physical shape like a human arm and a degree of freedom (Degree of Freedom). The transfer robot system is controlled remotely using an IoT-based smartphone using the ESP32 Wemos D1 R32 module as the robot's driving brain and ESP32-Cam as the robot's drilling visual. Several robot tests are carried out to ensure that the designed robot can run properly. From the results of functional testing, parts of the robot can run well. The robot can walk through commands from a smartphone, the gripper on the arm manipulator can grasp objects and the ESP32-Cam can display images to the smartphone.

Abstract

Nowadays, most of the people have subscribed to their own internet service providers. However, due to slow of speed, connectivity, quality, and customer satisfaction need a proper evaluation. In addition, the rate of internet adoption is still slow. This project aims to develop a web-based system of data visualization based on sentiment analysis of internet service providers in Malaysia. For the project methodology is conducted in three phases, which include studying the existing problem of the internet service providers in Malaysia, developing a web-based system of data visualization based on sentiment analysis, and the evaluation of the usability of the system. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) has been used in this project which are analysis, design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and usability. The quality of internet services is a crucial factor in determining the satisfaction of customers in the telecommunications industry. The data visualization system based on sentiment analysis can assist customers in making informed decisions when choosing the right Internet Service Provider (ISP) by providing a better understanding of the quality of internet services offered by different ISPs. The sentiment analysis approach also done by using the corpus-based approach. The evaluation of the usability result was done by 3 experts through questionnaires using the linear scale indicator to evaluate the usability of the system. The visualization of data is important which can help the user understand the information in detail.

Abstract

Student Guidance and Counseling based on Expert System Using Certainty Factor Method Abstract: Every campus or college has one service called guidance and counseling. This role is held by the academic advisory lecturer. The workload of academic advisory lecturers becomes high when the ratio of the number of lecturers to students is low. To ease the workload of academic advisory lecturers, an expert system is made that can facilitate students and academic advisory lecturers in overcoming existing problems. The development of this expert system uses the Expert System Development Life Cycle (ESDLC) development method. The application that was developed was then tested on Informatics Engineering students at Ibn Sina University. Tests include the Black Box tests. From the evaluation of the user obtained the results that the developed expert system can be used to deal with problems such as those that have been stored in the list of problem data and solutions. The aesthetic appearance of the system must be improved in order for users to be interested in using it. Some users suggest multimedia elements be included in the developed expert system view to make it look more attractive. Keywords: Guidance and Counseling, Certanty Factor, Expert Systems.
