Abstract

The beauty and benefits of plants in the Green Open Space are often disturbed by mistletoes. The existence of mistletoes often indicates the occurrence of disturbances or damage to the host plants that are parasitized. The mistletoes has been widely known by the community, but has never received attention in handling it. There has been little research on crop damage or loss caused by mistletoes. The purpose of this research is to know the existence of mistletoe and to know the pattern of distribution of mistletoe in green open space of Surabaya city. The study was conducted using the exploration method with emphasis to observe the distribution of mistletoes and identification of the type of mistletoe obtained. The results showed that the distribution of mistletoes in green open space in Surabaya tend to be grouped according to the distribution pattern of host plants. There are three types of mistletoes that mistletoe green open space plants in the city of Surabaya namely Dendrophtoe pentandra (L.)  (very dominant), Macrosolen cochinchinensis (Lour.) Van Tiegh, and Henslowia frutescens.Champ

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh macam bahan baku dan frekuensi pemberian pupuk organik cair dari limbah eceng gondok terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan dua faktor : Faktor I : Macam campuran bahan baku pupuk organik Cair Ada 3 level yaitu : P1 = Pupuk Organik Cair dari Limbah Eceng gondok; P2 = Pupuk Organik Cair dari Limbah Eceng gondok + Isi Rumen Sapi ; P3 = Tanpa Pupuk Organik Cair (kontrol). Faktor II: Frekuensi Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair; ; F1 = 1 kali; F2= 2 kali ; F3 =3 kali; F4= 4 kali. Masing ? masing kombinasi perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga dibutuhkan sebanyak 36 petak percobaan.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan : (1) Aplikasi pupuk organik cair (M1 dan M2) berpengaruh memperbaiki pertumbuhan Tanaman Kedelai, sehingga bisa meningkatkan produksi dibanding perlakuan tanpa pupuk organik cair (M3); (2) Dengan Aplikasi Pupuk organik cair eceng gondok (M1) mampu memberikan hasil 2,56 / petak, meningkat 21,9 %; sedangkan dengan Aplikasi Pupuk organik cair eceng gondok + isi rumen sapi (M2) tanaman kedelai mampu menghasilkan biji kering 2,52 kg / petak ( meningkat 20,0% ) dibandingkan tanpa pemberian pupuk organik cair yang hanya mampu menghasilkan 2,10 kg / petak

Abstract

Natural harm is progressively disturbing the local area. This can cause sporadic seasons, streak floods in the stormy season, and constant high temperatures during the dry season. This has suggestions for individuals' lives, like diminishing food creation. Diminished food creation affects hunger. Ecological harm can be brought about by one incredibly inconsequential thing and is frequently finished by moms. That is tossing out the remainder of the food like rice. The way tossing out extra rice is quite destructive to the climate. In particular, food deterioration can affect the rise of methane gas (Ch4) contamination which is hurtful to the environment. Hence, the Agribusiness Masters, Faculty of Agriculture, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya, welcomes people, particularly the PKK ladies of Customs Housing Asri Sidoarjo, to comprehend the significance of safeguarding the prevailing climate. Local area administration changed over lifeless extra rice food into neighborhood microorganisms (MOL). Since MOL can be utilized for harmless to the ecosystem, natural composts.

Abstract

Tujuan riset : (a) melakukan identifikasi karagaman tanaman di wilayah RW07 Taman Indah Sidoarjo atas dasar kemampuannya dalam mengeliminir polutan, dan (b) mengetahui kondisi saat ini keragaman tanaman pada wilayah RW07 Taman Indah, Sidoarjo atas dasar analisis data yang ditemukan di lapangan. Pendekatan metode yang dipakai pada riset ini adalah : (a) melakukan survey lapangan secara langsung untuk mendata keadaan fisik semua sampel tanaman di lapangan dan (b) selanjutnya mengidentifikasi berbagai jenis tanaman menggunakan buku Identifikasi “Singapore flora” sesuai habitusnya, serta fungsi untuk menyerap polutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) keragaman tanaman di wilayah RW07, Sidoarjo adalah 76 pohon, meliputi : katagori semak 36 jenis, perdu 17 jenis, pohon berkayu 15 jenis , dan 8 jenis palem. (b). jenis tanaman yang berfungsi mereduksi partikel Pb, yakni mahoni, angsana, tanjung, mangga, glodokan tegak, bugenvil, asem, dan sawo kecik; semua jenis tanaman berfungsi menyerap CO2, mereduksi CO dan NOx.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the community in Jambangan Village, Surabaya, through training in making Sacha Inchi Oil as an economic alternative. With support from PT. Pertamina Integrated, this program emphasizes increasing skills and knowledge in the process of processing Sacha Inchi into oil with high economic value. This training is designed to increase community understanding of local potential that can be processed sustainably, while creating alternative sustainable livelihoods. Through structured training sessions, participants will be introduced to modern techniques in processing Sacha Inchi, including production and quality control steps. The importance of economic sustainability and food security in sub-districts is the main focus of this activity. Participants will be equipped with practical knowledge and technical skills to start and manage Sacha Inchi Oil production independently. Apart from that, PT. Pertamina Integrated also provides assistance in the form of facilities and equipment needed to increase the community's production capacity. It is hoped that the results of this activity will have a positive economic impact in Jambangan Village, as well as strengthening the independence and economic resilience of the local community. Apart from that, it is hoped that this training will be able to create a model of community empowerment that can be adopted in surrounding areas, creating positive change in a wider scope

Abstract

MSMEs are the backbone of the economy in many countries, including Indonesia. In facing increasingly fierce competition and dynamic changes in the business environment, the preparation of financial reports is important for MSME players. The purpose of holding this community service activity is to help MSMEs in optimizing the use of information technology to manage business finances. This training activity was held at the Sepanjang Village Office in July 2023. The method used in this training was the lecture method and practice using applications. The training results showed that all MSME actors present were able to compile simple financial reports using the Buku Warung application. Through the preparation of these simple financial reports, MSME actors can make better business decisions than before.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of chicken eggshell organic fertilizer pellets (POPe) and NPK on the growth and yield of tomato plants. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya from April to August 2022. The experiment used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial with two factors, namely: Factor (1) POPe chicken eggshell (P) and Factor (2) NPK dose (K). Each treatment was repeated three times with P0 (without POPe treatment), POPe chicken eggshell treatments consisted of P1 (7.5 gr POPe), P2 (15 gr POPe), P3 (22.5 gr POPe) and K0 (without NPK dose), NPK fertilizer doses of K1 (9 gr NPK). The results showed that the use of POPe and NPK on tomato plants had no effect on their growth and yield.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the Alellopathy Potential contained in Imperata cylindrica extract as a Bio-herbicide. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture; Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya University. This research method used completely randomized design (CRD); with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments are (A0): Control; A1 : extract concentration ( 250 g/L) ; A2 : 500g/L ; (A3); 750 g / L. Observational data were analyzed using Analysis of Variant (ANOVA), then tested with 5% BNT. The results showed allelopathy contained in the extract of Imperata cylindrica L. can suppress weed seed germination up to 94.67 %; and has a negative effect on the initial growth of spiny spinach (Amaranthus spinosus L) seedling sprouts. With treatment A2 and A3 ; All weed seeds that were able to germinate grew abnormally (100%). Imperata cylindica extract has the potential to be used as a bio-herbicide (natural herbicide) to suppress the early growth of weed seeds on spinach spines.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: (1) to predict the damage of soybean pod through the mathematical model of relationship between population density of N. viridula and pod damage, (2) to predict the soybean yield through the mathematical model of relationship between population density of N. viridula and pod damage where made by modification of Reynolds Transport Theorem. This research was used Completely Randomized Design with nine treatments and each was replicated three times. The treatment were : P0 = control, P1 = 1 nymph, P2 = 2 nymphs, P3 = 3 nymphs, P4 = 4 nymphs, P5 = 1 adult, P6 = 2 adults, P7 = 3 adults, and P8 = 4 adults. The population density of pod sucking bug was the independent variable, while dependent variables were : rate of pod damage, and dry pod weigh. Analysis of mathematical modeling was made by approaching of Continuum Theory and Reynolds Transport Theorem. The results showed that : (1) Relationship between population of N. viridula and pod damages in the form of mathematical model which is used to predict the soybean pod damage has error 0,02 – 0,10%, and (2) Mathematical model where made by modification of Reynolds Transport Theorem which is used to predict the soybean yield has error 0,01 – 1,00%.
