Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas VII pada materi aritmatika sosial dengan menggunakan model pembelajarn kooperatif teknik teams games tournament (TGT). Subjek penelitiaan ini adalah 32 siswa kelas VII C MTs negeri 1 Kuningan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan tes kemampuan numerasi siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, karena pada siklus pertama belum mencapai ketuntasan atau indikator yang diharapkan. Hasil penelitian pada pra siklus menunjukan kemampuan numerasi siswa mempunyai rata-rata 21 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajarr 0%, setelah diberikan tindakan pada siklus I dengan menggunakan model pembelajarn kooperatif teknik teams games tournament (TGT) mengalami peningkatan kemampuan numerasi dengan nilai rata-rata 62 dan persentase ketuntasan siswa 59%, tetapi belum mencapai keberhasilan penelitian maka dilanjutkan dengan siklus II. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan numerasi siswa setelah dilakukan siklus II adalah 74 dengan persentase ketuntasan 78%, sehingga dapat disimpulakn bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik teams games tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa masih sangat rendah, perlu adanya model atau perlakuan yang baru yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif model pembelajaran POGIL dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa jika kemampuan awal matematika diperhitungkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN di Kuningan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran POGIL cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa pada siswa yang memiliki KAM tinggi, sedangkan pada siswa yang memiliki KAM rendah tidak ada peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik atau tidak terlalu efektif digunakan. Penelitian ini bisa memberikan manfaat khususnya bagi guru, bahwa model pembelajaran pogil menjadi salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada siswa yang memiliki KAM tinggi.

Abstract

Numerical ability is an ability that is measured in the Minimum Competency Assessment. If we look at the results of PISA, the numeracy skills of Indonesian students are still at a low level compared to other countries. These problems need to find a solution if we want to improve the quality of our education. Learning based on mobile learning applications is an alternative, where with this application students can study anywhere. Then a learning media based on Mobile Learning Numeracy will be developed called "NuMet" which is expected to help students improve their numeracy skills. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the NuMet application developed was effective and practical in helping students improve their numeracy skills. The research method used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE model. Then, to find out the effectiveness of NuMet, it was analyzed by using the Paired Sample t-Test. The Numet product developed was declared valid by experts, then the NuMet application was effective in improving elementary school students' mathematical numeracy skills, this can be seen from the sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05. As for practicality, the average practicality score is 75.67, so the developed NuMet is practical with good criteria. The implication of this research is that the results of developing the NuMet application can assist teachers in improving students' numeracy skills in order to face the minimum competency assessment.

Abstract

Mathematics learning today only emphasizes the mastery of the material alone and more one-way communication with students. The buildup of information from teachers results in the learning style of students who tend to memorize. This research aims to find out the mathematical communication skills of students in solving quadratic equation problems. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Determination of the subject using purposive sampling techniques with the criteria of the student's test results. The study subjects numbered three people consisting of students who obtained grades in high, medium, and low categories. Indicators of communication skills in this researcher are (1) explain and make mathematical statements that have been studied, (2) state everyday events in a language or mathematical symbol, and (3) provide an explanation of mathematical ideas, concepts, or situations with their own language in the form of writing mathematically. The instruments used are researchers, tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques are using quantitataif data analysis with data reduction stages, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. The results of the data analysis showed that the KSS subject met 3 indicators of mathematical communication skills. AHB subjects meet 2 of the 3 indicators, namely the first and third indicators. WL subjects meet reached 1 of 3 indicators of mathematical communication skills, namely the first indicators.

Abstract

Students' mathematical representation ability from the point of view of learning styles, we can see that learning styles play an important role in how students absorb mathematical information. The visual learning style involves using pictures, diagrams and other visual representations to understand math concepts. The auditory learning style involves a preference for listening to oral explanations or participating in discussions. Meanwhile, the kinesthetic learning style involves physical movement to gain an understanding of mathematics. This study aims to determine: 1) the representational ability of students who have a visual learning style, 2) the representational ability of students who have a kinesthetic learning style, 3) the representational ability of students who have an auditory learning style. In this study using descriptive qualitative research methods to determine the ability of mathematical representation which has a learning style for each student in class VII-F SMP Negeri 2 Kuningan. Data were collected through learning style questionnaires, representation ability tests and interviews with students. The results of the learning style questionnaire for the majority of students have a rich visual learning of 42%, kinesthetic 30% and auditory 28%. The results of the representation ability test showed that students with visual learning styles had high mathematical representation abilities, while the majority of students with auditory and kinesthetic learning styles were categorized as moderate. Interviews with students revealed that learning understanding can be understood by means of their learning styles. However, teachers face obstacles in choosing learning models that suit students' learning styles and need to understand individual learning needs. Students' activities in learning mathematics also still need to be improved, especially in the ability to discuss, conclude, and make summaries. Therefore, further efforts are needed to pay attention to differences in student abilities and develop appropriate strategies to increase student interaction and participation in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the ability of mathematical connections in terms of students' self-concept. It is important to know the description of the level of mathematical connection ability possessed by students so that it can be used as a reference in planning the right learning process. Self-concept is used to determine the description mathematical connection abilities, where self-concept as an affective aspect plays an important role in the cognitive aspects of students. This research is descriptive qualitative research with 53 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kramatmulya as participants who were determined by purposive sampling. Participants were given a mathematical connection ability test and a self-concept questionnaire. Furthermore, interviews were conducted with several positive self-concept and negative self-concept participants who obtained the highest and lowest questionnaire scores from each self-concept. The data obtained was analyzed using analysis model Miles and Huberman which is divided into three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that students with positive self-concepts had all indicators of mathematical connection ability. Then students with negative self-concept are less able to use and master the indicators of mathematical connection ability. This is because most of the indicators of mathematical connection ability are still not mastered by students in solving the problems given

Abstract

Asesmen kompetensi minimum adalah penilaian yang dilakukan untuk mengukur literasi, numerasi dan karakter siswa. Rendahnya tingkat kemampuan numerasi menjadi persoalan yang sangat penting untuk perkembangan pendidikan khusus bagi siswa sekolah dasar sampai atas. Perlu adanya solusi untuk peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi matematika siswa ini, dan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat menjadi alternatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Selanjutnya tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui apakah model Problem Based Learning (PBL) ini mampu membantu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi matematika siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) atau Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan model Kurt Lewin yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian pada pra siklus menunjukan bahwa hanya dua siswa yang telah mencapai nilai ketuntasan atau sekitar 6,3% dengan rata-rata nilai numerasi 41,4. Selanjutnya setelah diberikan tindakan kelas pada siklus I, siswa yang tuntas mengalami kenaikan menjadi 10 siswa atau 31% siswa telah tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 55,8. Karena belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan, dilakukan tindakan siklus II, didapat 24 siswa dinyatakan lulus dengan nilai rata-rata 74,9 atau 75% siswa telah tuntas. Dengan demikian indikator keberhasilan tindakan terpenuhi yaitu lebih atau sama dengan 75% siswa mencapai ketuntasan. Maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa model PBL dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi matematika siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to design and determine the feasibility and effectiveness of LKPD Poster Learning Media (POLKA PD) to improve students' mathematical understanding, especially in flat-sided geometric material. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE development model and research design using one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study only consisted of class VIII students at MTs Negeri 3 Kuningan for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sampling technique used in this research was simple random sampling. From the research results, it was found that the POLKA PD media developed was suitable for use in educational environments, based on the verification results of media experts and material experts. The POLKA PD media developed is effective in increasing students' mathematical understanding. This can be seen from the average student mathematics comprehension test score after using POLKA PD media which is higher than before. The development of POLKA PD media on flat-sided geometric material received a good response from students. This can be seen from the results of a survey of student responses to POLKA PD media

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity and effectiveness of the mathematical comic learning medium (KOMKA) to improve the numeration ability of elementary school students especially on area & volume measurement materials. This type of research is Research and Development. The development model used is the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carey, which has five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate. The population in this development research is all students of SDN 2 Padarek in the 2023/2024 academic year. The sampling technique used in this development research is simple random sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study is a descriptive analysis technique to describe whether the digital comics developed by the study are valid and effective for use in class learning. Research results show that the KOMKA learning medium is valid for use in learning activities, derived from the validity results of media experts and material experts. The KOMKA learning medium is effective in improving students' numeration skills. This can be seen from the average test results of students' mathematical understanding ability after the application of the KOMKA learning medium was higher than before.

Abstract

This study aims to design a snakes and ladders game media and determine the feasibility and effectiveness of Intelligent Math Snake (IMS) learning media to improve students' mathematical understanding skills, especially on flat-sided space building material. This research uses development research or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The sample in this study were students of class VIII-H MTs Negeri 7 Kuningan in the 2023/2024 school year. The data analysis technique used in this study used the Paired Sample T Test, N-Gain test, and questionnaire processing. From the results of the study, it was found that the Intelligent Math Snake (IMS) learning media developed was feasible to use in learning based on the verification results of media experts and material experts. The Intelligent Math Snake (IMS) learning media developed effectively improves students' mathematical understanding skills. This can be seen from the average student mathematical understanding test scores after using Intelligent Math Snake (IMS) learning media higher than before. The development of Intelligent Math Snake (IMS) learning media received good responses from students.  This can be seen from the survey results of student response questionnaires to the Intelligent Math Snake (IMS) learning media
