Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Job Insecurity on Job Performance with Affective Commitment as a Mediating Variable Post Covid-19 Pandemic (Case Study: Four Star Hotel employees in Padang City). The data processing was carried out through Smart-PLS. There was a total of 155 samples collected using purposive sampling method. The results showed that a) job insecurity has a negative but not significant effect on employee performance, b) job insecurity has a negative and significant effect on affective commitment, c) affective commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, d) affective commitment mediates the relationship between job insecurity on employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors which cause employees to burnout in working, which include workload and organizational culture on burnout with work stress that employees feel as a mediation variable. Burnout is an important thing that must be considered by company management in managing company resources or employees. The population in this study are employees of Badan Peneyelenggara Jaminan Sosial BPJS Kesehatan Padang City, West Sumatera with a sample of 83 employees. The analytical method used descriptive statistical analysis and factor description analysis using SmartPLS 3.0. The result of this study shows that workload has a positive and significant effect on work stress; organizational culture has a negative and significant effect on work stress; workload, organizational culture, and work stress have a significant impact on burnout; work stress as a mediating variable has an effect on the workload on burnout and organizational culture on burnout.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of leadership style and the application of technology using work discipline as a mediating variable on employee achievement at PT. Padang Cement. Achievement is an important thing that must be considered by company management in managing company resources or employees. Aspects that affect employee achievement are leadership style, application of technology to employee achievement, and perceived work discipline by employees. In this case, the researcher focuses on the perceived work discipline variable as a mediating variable that links leadership style and application of technology to employee achievement. The population in this study were employees at PT Semen Padang with a sample of 162 people by using kretjie table. The analytical method used is descriptive statistical analysis and factor description analysis using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that leadership style had a negative and significant effect on work discipline; the application of technology has a positive and significant impact on work discipline; leadership style, application of technology, and work discipline have a significant impact on employee achievement; work discipline as a mediating variable has an effect and fully mediates on leadership style on employee achievement and the application of technology on employee achievement also partially mediates.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of locus of control, work stress and work conflict on the performance of BPJS Kesehatan Padang Branch employees. The most important managerial role is in human resources. Humans can be seen as the determining factor, because in the hands of humans all innovations will be realized in an effort to realize the company's goals. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with the help of a questionnaire, where the respondents are employees of BPJS Kesehatan Padang Branch with a working position as company staff and including the head of the field, totaling 83 respondents. The analytical method used is descriptive statistical analysis and factor description analysis using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that locus of control had a significant and positive effect on employee performance; work stress has a significant and positive effect on employee performance; work conflict has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors which cause students' academic performance in completing their education, including motivation and self-efficacy regarding academic performance with burnout that the students feel as a mediation variable. Academic performance is an important thing that must be considered by the management of an educational institution in achieving educational goals. The population in this study are active students of the Sapta Samudra Padang Maritime Academy with a sample of 96 active students of the class of 2019-2022. The analysis method used descriptive statistical analysis and factor description analysis using SmartPLS 4.0. The results of this study shows that motivation and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on burnout; motivation and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on academic performance; burnout has a negative and significant effect on academic performance; burnout as a mediating variable has a partial mediation effect in mediating motivation on academic performance and burnout as a mediating variable also has a partial mediation effect in mediating the relationship between self-efficacy and academic performance
